  1. My reservation is no longer showing in the My Celebrity reservation area.. Is this normal? I am cruising in early May and already have all my travel docs. Not sure where my reservation went. They wouldn't cancel it would they?? I am months past paying my final payment. Hoping it's just another website glitch.

On the main Celebrity page http://www.celebritycruises.co.uk/ it is in red that the site is undergoing maitainance. It you click and look at the message it will give you the time that it is unavailable. Here in the UK it is 5 am until 1400 hrs

  2. I am just as frustrated as you. I have even gone as far as uninstalling the Adobe Flash Player and then reinstalling it again. Tested the Flash Player as their web site states and all is well. Still didn't work on the Celebrity site. Have opened up an excursion and let it sit for over an hour and it still didn't play. When I right click on the excursion viewing screen it states movie not loaded. Clearly Celebrity has a problem with this.

Glad to know it's not just me.[/quote

As others are having the same problems I am going to phone Celebrity tomorrow. I too uninstalled flash player and installed recent version

  3. The Premier Inn on Bath Road is OK and a little above basic - but thats a view from the UK !

We stay there as its convenient to the places we go.

Absoulutly nothing wrong with the Premier Inn but just be aware there are two Premier Inns on Bath rooad and no it is definately not the Hounslow one.

  4. Where did the search button go?

It took me a while to find it but if you look right at the top of the page you will see the magnifying glass and search box saying Search Cruise Critic. After this you may well be asked for Kewords in next page. I just put in the same words. It is not the same as the old search this forum but it does give you old posts. Hope this helps. Once you have experienced it you will see yourself how it works.

  5. You may purchase the transfers separately or you may purchase them as part of a cruiseline sponsored hotel package. Whether they make more or less sense to your personal situation you will need to do the calculations.

We snagged a really good deal through X at the Crown Plaza pre-trip and it included the transfers (Crown Plaza to ship pre-cruise, Ship to airport post-cruise). The process was effortless for us and was very cost effective (there were three of us).

As a participant who purchased the xfers as part of the hotel package through the cruiseline, we got "preferencial" treatment and were able to book onto a very early bus for the transfer (per our preference). I know some of the transfer-only folks had no option and were forced to wait for a later bus. As others have noted the Crown Plaza is not really "convenient" to the sights in Rome, so those pax who were assigned to later busses had little choice but to sit and wait at the hotel.

    .

Do you remember what time you were picked up at the hotel to be taken to the pier and at what time did you reach the ship as I too have booked a pre cruise hotel at the Crowne Plaza. Thanks

  6. NOW, I see what you mean...smh

I just did a cross-check between the RCI website and the June 9, 2013 Liberty

Compass listings available on this board (message #47) -- http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1863848&highlight=liberty+compass&page=3

This is what I determined (RCI website lists same showtimes for June 2013, July 2013 and August 2013 cruises):

Liberty of the Seas' -- Showtimes At-A-Glance @ RCI website:

In The Air -- Day 2 (two shows)

Saturday Night Fever -- Day 3, Day 4

Encore! An Ice Spectacular -- Day 3, Day 4, Day 6 (two shows)

Liberty of the Seas' -- Cruise Compasses (June 9, 2013 Sailing)

In The Air -- NO SHOWS

    Saturday Night Fever -- Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 6, Day 7

Encore! An Ice Spectacular -- Day 3, Day 4, Day 5 (two shows)

Sorry to add to the confusion. Starting to think it best to wait and just be surprised after boarding... I do hope they still have the "In The Air" show, as my daughter was looking forward to that one.

Yes I agree, we will go and double check the times on board first day when they are being given out. BTW we had the In the Air show reserved until we got an email to say reservations are no longer valid and they cancelled our SNF & In the air but assured us that the show times would remain the same and seats can be had on first come first serve basis. How reliable this info is will be determined on board but I hope your daughter is not disappointed.

  7. We were on Liberty on 16th June. the shows were well worth seeing. We got there about 25 mins before the show started and got good seats, but it soon filled after that.

Do you happen to know if there is still a 6.00pm Ice show on the second night ie Villefranche on Liberty as we have reservations for that show in two weeks. However I was looking at the compassess for 9th June 2013 sailing and there is no mention of a show at that time. I have heard that shows have been cancelled from time to time. I do not want to miss this show as I have seen it many many rimes but it is the first time that my family has travelled with us and I would not want them to miss it. Thanks

  8. There was a Juggler on but we didn't go see him - sorry cannot remember his name - he was juggling chairs and stuff ! - saw a bit of it on the tv they re show the shows the next day on one of the channels

We did see the new James Bond film Skyfall and some of a film about Snow white but it was a new version - but i am not really up on movies so don't know the name of it[/quote

No problem. Thanks for your reply anyway, perhaps when you manage to post your compasses I can take a better look, but thanks for now.

  9. Rich Edwards, Cruise Director. We really like him. He's fun and seems very committed to everyone having a good time. I asked him today and he says he's on Liberty until 4 August.

Thank you so much for your answer to my question. We will have him on our cruise which will end on 4th August. We have not seem him yet so it will be nice to have a different CD. I hope you continue to improve feeling better. I felt bad asking you the question again after I read that you were not feeling 100%. Enjoy the rest of your cruise and thank you for continuing to report.

  10. Thank you for all replies. Seems a very silly and complicated system to me or is it again a way of making money. If in our case we have to take 3 cd's to get photos with each other in the pictures it would cost around $900 dollars I do not think we would bother so no revenue to Disney there. If we could link reservations like you can do with other services on board like dining and port adventures I am sure Disney would make more money, a bird in the hand scenario. However these heads marketing people are very clever people and perhaps they have done their sums and this is why they do it this way. I think we will be taking our own photos and buying a few souvenir photos to keep. On our first cruise we went silly with photos and it cost us a fortune.

  11. We are travelling with our family which will be in 3 different cabins. To get all photos on one CD what is the best procedure. I was thinking in using one kttw card when we are all together and then they can use their own card when having their own photos taken but this may be an expensive way as we would have to purchase multiple CD's. Is their a more economical way to get all photos on one disc by linking our cabins at shutters. Our reservations are linked all ready for dining etc. Thanks for any help in saving us a fortune.

  12. Same here... no problem for me.

I just wish they could let their international Crown & Anchor Society Members use their section on the website. Currently its only available to U.S Residents (maybe some other "first world" countries too).

Quite right, there has been a message on our UK site that states that they will be extending the Crown and Anchor service internationally soon. That was only 3 years ago. So give them a chance, they are working on it. Ha Ha LoL

  13. Has anyone used Tuscany by Taxi. If so, would you recommend them and do you have a name of a particular driver? Thanks. Cyndi cbleier@amboybank.com

Hi Cyndi, I would use them again in a flash. In fact my friends daughter is using them this year on our recommendation. We used them last year for our trip to Pisa and Lucca and we could not fault them. Our driver was called Massimo and he was very well mannered and patient. Here is their e mail address in case you do not have it.

    booking@tuscanybytaxi.it

  14. I am not sure at the moment what we will do. We have two children and visited Vigo last year on the Navigator. We had a good walk around and went to the big department store, but don't really want to do that again. We are not that keen on ships tours. Perhaps the beach would be better - do you remember any details of the bus you caught/name of the beach. I always do lots of research before we travel but really struggled with Vigo last year. All help gratefully received!

Samil Beach was the name of the beach and you catch the bus right at the port before you head up to town. I think but I am not sure that the bus was a number 10 but there was an official at the bus stop as it is like a terminal and he told me the number. It took about 20/25 minutes and the fare was very cheap.
