  1. Going on a cruise (Freedom of the Seas) and it will be the first cruise with our little guy who is two years old. Is the only splash area he will be allowed to use (since he’s in diapers) really that small? I’m starting to regret booking the cruise because I fear he’ll be upset he can’t use splash away bay from what I’m now reading online. Has anyone taken a young toddler on Freedom, if so, what was your experience?
  2. As someone else said, if sh** was hitting the fan, nobody would be standing in perfect lines waiting to board a life boat. They can’t even get everyone to show up for the drills, so what makes you think that it would be some organized process if something real were happening. Face it, if there is a serious emergency requiring a full ship evacuation, you better hope you have some ninja fighting skills and can take out some other passengers! 🙂
  3. We ate in the dining room on night 3 and they did have a “Caribbean Theme” menu which I believe is part of the new menu array.
  4. Norwegian Cruise Line has announced the end of the virtual or e-muster drill and will immediately return to the traditional safety briefing, will Royal Caribbean follow?? I sure hope not! Fresh off Freedom and the e-muster was great!
  5. We are on a 3night, not doing MDR tonight, doing chops, but dress is Caribbean.
  6. I can confirm that only Disney Magic is here today, the Wish overstayed their welcome and was kicked off the island. #AGuyOnTheInternetSaidItsTrue
  7. Arrived at CoCo Cay this morning, thinking we’d have the island to ourselves, BUT then big brother comes and ruins it! Lol!!
  8. On Freedom now, if anyone has any questions I may be able to help with! 🙂
  9. On freedom now, I didn’t hear about the emergency but we were late leaving, so that explains it!
  10. Yes, we had to pay an expediting fee for each. For both of ours (expedited, plus passport cards in addition to the books, it was over $400.)
  11. Took an hour in the morning, then we went to lunch for 2 hours, came back to pick them up and we were out in another hour. It took us 2 hours almost to get to Miami with the traffic and an hour to get back home. Overall very organized process. Drive to: 2 hours Morning Appt: 1 hour Lunch/Wait: 2 hours Passport Pickup: 1 hour Drive Home: 1 hour =7 hours total
  12. We waited till we were within 14 days of our cruise then set an appointment at the Miami passport office. We are here now getting them same day.
  13. We will be trying a Disney cruise upcoming due to the high prices of royal… makes it worth it now.
  14. Are there any hard luggage tag holders out there for RC? Like a holder that is hard and rigid, rather than bendable?
  15. My wife and I really enjoyed cruising by ourselves before we had a child, who is now a little over 1-year old. Question: For those that have/had children, particularly very young one in diapers, was cruising still an enjoyable type of vacation for you? Or was it more stressful than it’s worth?
  16. Has anyone obtained a passport or renewed their passport within 14 days of their cruise using the urgent travel (non-emergency) service? Would a cruise to the Bahamas qualify to use this service or does it have to be an international flight?
  17. Hi everyone, if we have The Key, could we bring all of our bags on with us (instead of leaving them where everyone drops off their bags) and turn them over to be delivered to our cabin earlier than they would get there otherwise? Or, does it have to be smaller carry-on bags?
