Was on Liberty the first two weeks of December and mask enforcement was a joke. Only time I saw a crew member tell someone to put on a mask was going into the Windjammer. Everywhere else crew just looked the other way.

I was also told 60% in October.

I took my cruise in November and I did not receive the 5 points.
-
On the Liberty now and Windjammer is open for dinner.

There were 5 of us-ages 70-14. All Diamond level on Royal. This was our 4th time on Liberty. We drove to Galveston so no. air answers here except it is a long ways from the airports and the Royal shuttle looked good to me.
Embarkation and disembarkation were easy and smooth. Less than 30 minutes from start to finish and no complaints. We used porters.
How is Covid handled? Pretty well. Masks are worn in hallways, and anywhere that is not V or vaccine only. Most venues are V. The ship was 62% full which eliminated most lines. Kids were common being Thanksgiving week, but caused few problems. Once they get vaccinated it will be better. Masks were worn by almost everyone, in the Grand Promenade and everywhere else. They are doing as well as they can.
Food was very good. Windjammer, MDR, Chops, and Giovannis were very good. Service throughout the ship was fantastic and better than we have seen. Always smiling and helpful. Wi-Fi was spotty, going out from time to time. One night we streamed a football game, next morning could not. Sometimes it just dropped. The app was helpful when it worked which was most of the time.
The biggest problem is the entertainment. Ice show Encore was shown 7 times! El Gaucho was a main line act-has been around forever. The On Air and Saturday night Fever have been on forever and should be changed. Sailing out of Galveston usually means only 5 or so possible ports, they need to spice up the cruise with different acts. Sorry-Love and Marriage is not a main act. Music was thin. On the days that a band had off, their venue was quiet. Not enough bands to go around. Been that way for a long time. A Galveston cruise should have country music on it. Carnival does and Liberty used to Guitar in Pub was ok, others bad. Dancing is hard to find. Trivia is everywhere. It is cheap. Otherwise it was pretty empty of good entertainment Bring a couple of books.
The ships is showing its 20 plus years in places. We were on 10 and the carpet in the hallway was stained and worn. Some bathrooms were closed for hours or more. All in all though it was a fun cruise Ports were Cozumel, Belize and Honduras. We had been to each numerous times and did not get off. I did ride the Tidal Wave with my granddaughter and that was a blast. The mini golf was well restored and attended. Pool chairs were never a problem, even the lower ones. They did fill out after 10:00.
Would I go again? Yes. They are working out of the pandemic and they are getting back to normal.
Liberty is only 14 years old with a 2007 build date. Liberty is past due to be refurbished since the two sister ships were refurbished in 2019 and 2020. Currently on the Liberty.

Unfortunately, both Monarch and Sovereign are now 100% gone. Just waiting to find out what will happen to Majesty that is currently in deep cold storage in Greece.

I was also on the Ovation. NFL Monday night football, Thursday night Football and Sunday night football along with Saturday night college football made it imposable to carry on a conversation. We all moved over to the Diamond Lounge to talk. Not an ideal location for an evening lounge.

Don’t forget, 30 day final payment window also extended through March
Where can you find the 30 day payment INFO?

Ovation is back to being anchored off of Seattle. This time she is anchored farther south then last time.

I think Yukon Anchorage is pretty much straight across from Seattle in the sound. The ship is probably up in the strait dumping sewage especially given the loops that it is making. Then it will turn back toward Seattle and anchor over by Blake Island.
edit: it might also be making fresh water or something given how shallow the anchorages are.
edit2: MarineTraffic says that it actually left a couple of days ago and will not get to its anchorage until tomorrow. It is not apparent that it has been anchored anywhere for the last couple of days. Maybe they were anchored just off Pier 91.
Yesterday it showed the Ovation anchored in the sound.

I should earn a block on the Wonder in March, so I hope they have solved the supply problems by then.

What block were you expecting? Was it the Odyssey since those were on order in August?

Did this come out today? Currently on Ovation and our CK waiter is going home later this month and has a new contract to return to the Ovation on January 5th. This will really throw a monkey wrench into what the Ovation is going t do.
-
I also received 4 points today.

I am currently on the Ovation on the last Alaska cruise. The crew has been told that they will be sent home later this month and will return to Ovation in January for sailings out of Australia. They just received this INFO two days ago.

During dinner, the Captain came on and announced that the itinerary was being changed for the cruise that started today. Just like last week, Sitka is being scratched and Ketchikan has been added.

Awesome, thanks. now i know for sure i'm not getting them. i will go back and sign up. Thanks for help!
You should call CC and have them clean up your e-mail so that it only has your name linked to it. I had to do that in the past when I started receiving e-mails with family members names.

I assume that they wanted the airport that you use to fly out of from home. It could be which airport you like to fly to and catch a cruise. More information would have been helpful.

There are 86 B2B passengers staying on for the next and last cruise.

Royal and Pullmantur were the same really. Empress came back from Pullmantur to Royal for the purpose of going on cruises to Cuba. Royal spent big bucks to get Empress back to Royal standards as she was neglected under Pullmantur. 5O million as I recall as they had to rebuild all of her galleys.
Pullmantur was created as a way for Royal to unload their older Royal and Celebrity ships (Zenith and Horizon) to a line they had ownership in. I look at them as the same.
Based on your explanation, they can not be looked at as the same. Royal ships are 100% controlled and maintained by Royal. Even though Royal had a stake in Pullmantur, Pullmantur controlled and maintained the ships sailing for Pullmantur. That is why Empress was in such bad shape when she went back from Pullmantur to Royal.

Majesty was also saved for now. Still laid up but bought by Seajets renamed the ship Majesty of the Oceans.
The company that owns Majesty also owns a few other OLD cruise ships. All of those ships are in cold storage in Greece with the transponders turned off. Do not be surprised if those ships are sold for scrap sometime soon.
Recent Oasis passengers….I have questions…

Been told that the passenger count for the cruise that starts tomorrow is 3,000 passengers. However, there may be cancelations that lower that number.
