Well we went to see Hamilton and it is a brilliant show which I can highly recommend if you haven’t seen it yet. I love musicals and travel to Edinburgh to see any first runs that come up here.
Show tickets are becoming so expensive now though. Add to that the cost of everything in Edinburgh, as a small town yokel I can’t believe how much they charge there for anything and everything. I feel the same in Southampton as well though. I’m used to the £10 meal and £4.20 pint of Stella!
It’s been sunny again today so we enjoyed a long walk and did a bit of gardening.
One of the main reasons I moved from Edinburgh after my husband died was the fact that you can buy a house in Glasgow and live well for so much less (and cruise as well of course)😀

Fair enough, they are having IT problems with delays of up to 48 hours. meanwhile i noticed my spam folder had something in it. TV licence renewal, another one hundred and sixty nine squid. I notice that if i make it to 74 next year I get a free licence, unless they put the age up to 80 to save money.
Only free if you are in receipt of Pension Credit. 😥

We are on Arvia from Sunday. The weather looks pretty dreadful. No bovvered. It will give us something to complain about when we get back.
Yes so am I. I checked the weather forecast too - might have to do some swapping around in the wardrobe department!

Yes I’ve got it now - £42 less 20% is the price offered for booking in advance.

Andy. As per normal I am confused. Limelight was £67.20 for 2 when we booked it just now. I wonder if there is already 20% early booking discount built into that price. £67.20÷0.8÷2=£42 each...maybe..perhaps..Confused. That's me.🤣
Yes - that’s what I paid. £33.60 for one less loyalty.

I just booked the Limelight Club and didn’t get 20% discount.

I remember those lanai cabins back in the day on Holland America - presumably now owned by Fred?

Try Nationwide first Avril. Selbourne used them for his long cruise and saved hundreds for his long cruise. Loads of posters agreed with him after he mentioned it
I agree - they are also good to bank with. I think it’s only annual cover though

I’m off on my travels tomorrow so just finishing packing. No WiFi this time so I’ll catch up with all your news in 10 days.
Have a blessed Easter and I hope the weather where you are for the holiday weekend is better than the dull wet day I have here.
Happy travels and hopefully the sun will shine for you. It’s actually quite bright here this morning but not for long I think!

A glorious day here too. I am now having a restorative glass of Prosecco in the hope that it will relieve my aching bones after a day gardening. Cheers 🥂

No need now Michelle - as you will see TigerB has already done this for me. Happy packing today - I’m sure you will so glad to fly away from the rain here! 💦💦

Thank you very much for that. I see what you mean but my pathetic appetite can be satisfied with 3 or 4 starters nowadays so I think this would be good for me.

You are right the school hols start on 22/3, some parents may take their children out of school a week early to join the TA but I can’t imagine it will be as busy with children as during July/August.
We have not flown with TUI for years so quite looking forward to a flight with them. We are both looking forward to a holiday at the end of a very wet Winter
Michelle
Michelle - I hope you have a good journey on Saturday and a fabulous cruise. Could you post a copy of the Glasshouse menu sometime as I believe it is very different from those on the smaller ships? When you return would be fine.

Looks like they’ve all moved to near the cable car station - the Azura drop off was there a couple of weeks ago. Much better although I think the price had gone up from £4 to £5!

I applied last Tuesday for two cruises - Arvia in April and Azura in September. Received confirmation of applied OBC for September but nothing yet for April 🤔

I did this journey in September and will repeat it in April. The departure time was 3.15am and because the coach was pretty full there were no other pick ups on the way down although I believe there usually is. There were two service station stops en route - the first one south of Manchester and one further on.
