Do you feel the 7" sufficient? I have reflux really bad and worry it isn't high enough. I noticed on the website they offer a 10" version as well.
The 7" is for me and my acid reflux is so bad I had trouble breathing and had that horrible dry cough in your throat. The 10" would be to high for me, I wouldn't be able to sleep. My ENT only recommended raising the bed 6". I guess it's what works best for you. Oh, forgot to mention they offer a 30 day guarantee.

Even with out acid reflux, that looks really comfortable. It doesn't go flat over time does it?
I don't think so.
-
was it this one?
That's the one :) It has really helped me. We tried lifting the head of the bed but ours is supported in the middle and we couldn't lift it to high so I researched and found this wedge pillow and love it! We went off for a few days after Christmas and I didn't take it with me and really noticed a difference so I really need to take it with me on the cruise.

Do you have a pic or website link to that wedge? I've got an oversized type "pillow" that I bring for acid reflux as well. But it's so big it takes up a carry on bag by itself. It would be nice to have something that can be rolled up.
I found it at linenspa.com, when you look at the picture it doesn't look like you could roll it up but that's the way they sent it and it came with a zippered container (for lack of a better word). I would post a picture but I'm not sure how.
Thank you to everyone else, I'll be sure to bring it with me since it has really helped me alot. I'll either put it my carry on or just tote it. Thanks again :)

I'm thinking of bringing my wedge pillow (acid reflux wedge) on my cruise. I have severe acid reflux to the point that it affects my breathing. I've recently purchased a wedge pillow and have used it for a month now. It has really helped me. It can be rolled up and comes with it's own case, I can put it in my carryon. Should I have a problem bringing this on? Wondering if anyone has brought one on before? Thanks for the info.

Yes, this is a premiere cruise
What kind of affect will this have on my cruise if we don't gamble?
-
I was trying to see if our upcoming cruise is listed as a Premier cruise, could someone please check for me? April 29th Carnival Sunshine. Thanks so much for the help.

I received an email from Carnival about the new boarding procedures for our July 2nd sailing from Port Canaveral.
We are cruising out of Port Canaveral in April and haven't gotten an e-mail yet. Did it say when they would start this in Port Canaveral?
-
Once it's rolled out you will see "check in time" located in the same place that tells you your dining time, bed choice and cabin number. You have to go back and edit your online checkin and it will simply give you a drop down menu to choose the time.
Thank you :) I'll keep a watch to see when it'll roll out and then check my account.

I know it's still early for us and we don't know when it'll be rolled out for our port but I was wondering:
I already did online checkin so when it is rolled out for our embarkation port where do you look to choose your check in time?

Trying to find out if we need any vaccinations for our upcoming cruise.
We will be visiting Barbados is the reason I'm asking. Our other ports are: St. Kitts, St. Lucia, and St. Maarten.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you:)

We want to try this on our cruise but not sure which night. Can we make a reservation while onboard or will they be booked up? Thanks
-
Do they still have the free hot chocolate in the MDR?
-
Thanks everyone for the great information! Really looking forward to it, we'll be celebrating our 25th anniversary:)

Also the waiting area is right there in Ocean Plaza with plenty of seating, also Red Frug Pub is beside that with lots of seating and tv. The only waiting we did was on elegant nights, and it wasn't more than 30 minutes, so we just had a drink and enjoyed the atmosphere which is really nice. And like above poster stated grab an appetizer from the Taste Bar to hold you over until dinner. I would much rather have a nice area to sit down and wait rather than standing in a long line in front of the dining room. :) But enjoy and don't sweat the small stuff. :D
Thank you:)

we did anytime dining last year on the Sunshine, and it was different but not a problem. instead of going to the dining room you go to a table 2 decks up to check in. if there is a table ready they send you down then, if not you get the pager and then turn it in there and go down 2 decks when your turn. the taste bar is right there where you check in so you can sample while you wait.

Thank you Doug,
Your response was very helpful! I really appreciate it when someone writes back a helpful response. :)

Just off Sunshine today.your time dining is always in the back dining room on deck 3. Sunshine has the old menu.excellent food.
Did you do ATD and if so how was it? We have it for our upcoming cruise and I'm looking for some reassurance that it's not that bad.
-
We've done ATD on the past few cruises and have enjoyed it. I've just read alot of negative reports on ATD on Carnival Sunshine and now I'm worried. I went to my reservation and if we wanted to change to early (late seating is to late for us) it's waitlisted. Just posting not sure anyone can help calm my fears.:(
-
Sounds like anytime dinning would be on the Lido deck at the buffet . Or if you mean formal breakfast it would be in one of the main dinning halls . Set down with a waitstaff person . Hope this helps , have a great cruise :)
I'm talking about the formal dining room for dinner. We opted for anytime dining instead of early or late.

Which dining room is used on Carnival Sunshine for Anytime dining?

When you book ES, you can receive price drops up to 2 days before sailing. If the drops come after final payment, you will receive the amount in OBC.
On past cruises I have been on, I have received as much as $1000 in drops (I cruise solo)...if there aren't any cabins available in your category, you can move up to a higher cabin, but you can't downgrade.
Thanks for the info. I'll keep checking.
I guess what I'm asking is if we don't make any changes and the cruise price goes up we are locked in at the price we have our deposit on, right?
-
Sounds like you can change cabins... but you can't actually "downgrade" your category. There may also be a $50 surcharge for changes...

Hope that helps... I'm booked under the same promo.
Thanks for the help. We've sailed many times with Carnival but this is the first time booking ES.
Question: If we don't make any changes are we locked in with the price we have?
-
Please explain ES to me. I think I understand but not sure. I believe you can't make any changes to it right? Say we wanted to change to a different cabin, we wouldn't be able to or could we and they just charge us for the change?
