I’m curious what line you’ll cruise with your kids if you’re done with Carnival.   We took kids on Disney and it was 6 times the price.   We just got off a Carnival cruise and the kids LOVED it and while we had no fights or run ins, we did get pretty frustrated with the rudeness of some of the guests.   I’ve done Royal and didn’t really notice a difference in clientele.  Just curious if you’re making the shift, with kids what line you’d sail.   Thanks!

Ahh thank you!  Yes I did.   It’s almost a completely separate experience and I think most people in the YC felt the same.  Price it out with the drink package and internet!

Just for anyone thinking of flight times…  I took my own luggage and exited at 7:40 with the help of my Butler.  Those who had sent luggage could not exit by then and it was causing some people some stress.    
 

It took me a bit to get an Uber, but it really wasn’t that long in the end.  I sniffed out taxis but they wanted 145, were cash only, and rude.  I crossed back over to the Uber side of the street and honestly, I probably will never cross over again.  I wanted to be open minded, but nope.  My Uber driver was a lovely Ukrainian with a preschooler.   My Uber cost 94 dollars which was the same price as my Spirit flight with a checked bag. 😂    Despite long lines at the Spirit check in counter and security, I was in the lobby by 9:45.  (Ok, I did have precheck and that cut some lines but it was still annoying.). It took me 2 hours from lounge to (not) lounge but waiting area.   I do want to caution by saying that it was Sunday and there was no traffic.  

EWR was mayhem and silliness.  TSA precheck weaved in and out of the regular line.  I think it just made things worse for everyone.   No lounge, but I should probably start the food and alcohol cleanse!    Uhoh.  Lots of flights just delayed.  I think maybe a storm?

Woke up to this sail in!  Then a little later the city woke up! 

Left my Mom sipping cappuccino in the Top Sail lounge and I’m in an Uber to Newark.  She’ll catch the bus back to Maine! Sad to say good bye but ready to see my fam.   😍

Last show. “Journey” My girl must have had the night of which was sad.. (maybe she heard she had a stalker in the audience) I thought it was cute though.  An around the world theme.  “Time to Say Good Bye”    MSC loves a good flag parade.   

Champagne and Dolphins!   Nothing but the best for the Yacht Club!

Will miss this view, but I’m ready to see my kids! 

High recommend the Mango Tropical drink.  It’s blended and minty.   Sun was bright today despite the glass guards.   I think that I just barely kept myself from burning.  I tore myself away from the Sun deck to go to afternoon tea.   Finally, we spent the late afternoon packing and getting ready for our last dinner.   

My Mom and I did our best to stay up for White Night.  The crowd was really into it.  You don’t see much of the cruise director, but the head of the entertainment team, Graham from South Africa, is everywhere and he’s SO tall you can see him from everywhere!  He put so much energy into the party that the crowd had no other choice but to follow.   They did dance songs and dances from around “the World”. Nothing super authentic or anything but fun. 

I lost internet last night but I seem to be back this morning!  The show was Rock… something.  I was just there for my girl and she was as good as ever!  A big electric guitar riff that the audience really enjoyed.  

Oh I didn’t do great at dinner ate before taking pics.  We had the Chinese dumplings, the duck paparadelle and the butter chicken.  All were good.  I think the duck was the best.   Chocolate duo and coconut cake for dessert.  The chocolate duo was the better of the two.  
 

I’m slowing down folks.   Major lifestyle changes needs to be made when I get back home.  

A Cosher, a Shoke, a Cower?   None of those sound ok.

Purple Dream.  A great recommendation by Rodylynn and the best Mojito my Mom has ever had by Miuru.   

Deep couch sitting on deck.  It’s hopping!!! First time I didn’t have my pick of loungers.

The QE2 is our new neighbor.  It’s a 40 day cruise apparently.
