  1. CaptainNappin, couldn't someone just as easily argue that you are the one looking for something to be offended about, and that you are being an annoying, whiny baby about peoples' butts right now? You are simultaneously asserting your right to find something offensive and complaining about others being offended by things.

I don't know how anyone could possibly... I am quite literally asking people to be respectful and nice to one another.

  2. Sometimes I Book a Bon Voyage Experience with Princess. You get to board a ship for the afternoon, free photo, priority boarding before suites and elites, lunch in dining room w wine, etc. if you fill out an FCC form you get obc for your next cruise for booking "onboard", but even if you don't book a next cruise it's a fun way to spend an afternoon and only $39

How do I not know about this?

  3. We love all inclusive as much or more than cruising. don't get me wrong we love cruising as well, our last 2 cruises were B2B, 21 and 14 day respectively. we are going to Sandals in St.Lucia for 2 weeks in October , before our January Miracle 14 day trans canal. the advantages of A.I., much better food and selections. five or six restaurants all free. Top shelf liquors, even in your room and swim up bars. Lounge chairs are always available by the beach and pool. All activities are included, even Scuba with Sandals. there are Hobi cats, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and water tubing, to name a few. Is it more expensive, yes, but add up your shore excursions, it's pretty close. we also have a time share and do that once a year in St.Martin.

    Time share... St Martin... 😠

  4. Not saying that this is the case here but on the topic...

Some of the worst reviews seem to come from the most insufferable of insufferable. I honestly don't know why the people cruise. If you've been on more than one cruise, inevitably you've encountered these people.

They seem to stroll through life with one purpose... To drag every inch of the world that they encounter, no matter who it effects, down to the level of wretched, negative existence that is their life. They know no other way.

They only thing I don't understand is... Why are they wasting money on a cruise when they can be miserable and ruin everyone else's life at home? I fear the answer is that they have forced everyone that is our had ever been remotely close to them to the corners of the earth to get away from them. A cruise or other like vacation exposes them to new, unsuspecting souls to unleash their incessant, vampire-like, dark cloud of perpetual despair and insanity.

When you encounter these individuals... When you see them ripping a waitress or bartender to shreds, approach them, and hug them. Hug them with all your might!

Force feed them love and positivivity! They may resist. When that happens, hug tighter!

Now, this has caused a few scenes when I've done it but in the end, I feel good.

Love will conquer all! Some people just need to be force feed love.

  5. Apparenly you, and others on this board, need to read the Guidelines for posting on CC. No ridicule of grammar, including spelling, sentence structure or other types of errors, are found to be acceptable. You and others really need to read the guidelines since you, nor some others, including myself, are perfect!

    Spelling & Grammar Errors

It is important to remember that everyone makes mistakes at one time or another, and that there are many users who use English as a second language, especially on our Cruise Boards. There are also a number of people who suffer from learning disabilities and who have difficulty noticing their spelling mistakes. Do not make comments on the spelling and grammar of other users. It is simply not a productive expenditure of energies.

Allow me to explain. That comment was intended to support/illustrate/exemplify the point they were making. That is all. Apparently that was more than some people could handle.

:cool:A sense of humor could greatly benefit some people. Happy sailings!!!

  6. I believe the original question was about ReliefBand, not Seabands. They are different products. Whatever.

I think it is beyond condescending to tell people what does and doesn't work for them when you personally have not tried it, and make it worse by implying they don't know when they are being duped.

Everyone has an opinion of what works for them, and most people offer the remedy that works for them as a possible help to others. There is no need for such nastiness.

    Please just go away.

Right? I slap nasty know-it-alls!! Not once. Not twice. I slap them precisely 3 times! Stoppit or get slapped (3 times).

  7. There were 8 things that they disliked. And those were extremely vague. Was every single staff member they encountered rude? That would tell me the problem more likely lies with them and not the staff. They never mentioned 1 thing they liked. Do you not find this unusual? Maybe their expectations were totally unrealistic? They chose to come here and post a rant. What about the people who come to cruise critic, read the OP's post, and eliminate NCL from their choices?

What I find even more frustrating than posters like the OP are the amatuer moderators who like to come on here any verbally slap the knuckles of any poster who doesn't buy in and offers a counter point, which might be a bit humorous. Surely the real moderators would intervene if any lines were crossed.

Right? Since people just don't know how to be happy even if they went there bent backwards. Sometimes I wish people you would go and not do the things that those people do. Just have fun!!!!! Happy cruisin!!!!!!:D

  8. I had something like this happen a few years ago. My cousin and his family agreed to join us for a trip to Disney followed by a B2B relocation cruise. We had it all planned out. We were going to leave from Port Canaveral and end the first leg of the B2B in Portland. The next day there was another relocation leaving Portland headed to Madrid, where we planned on hopping a flight back to Denver. Well, I paid for everyone's flights, hotels, cruise passes.... basically everything. Over the next several months I didn't talk to him much but every time I did it was always the same thing; "We're all so excited! I'm sorry I haven't paid you back yet but I promise I will before we get there!"

As it got closer to time to leave I realized that he wasn't going to pay me back.

  9. We were once "upgraded" from a Junior Suite on deck 10 to an inside room on 2 next to what amounted to a broom closet. After the 2nd day I raised enough cane about it that they moved us into the Captains Suite (or something like that) and comp'd the rest of the trip, drinks and everything. They will jerk you around for sure! Happy sailings!
