What if your spouse doesn't drink nor drink coffee. Will they make any other exceptions to the drink package rule.
No recent reports of any other exceptions but the 1 deluxe/1 refreshment option.

Ships start decorating for Christmas right after Thanksgiving.
Depending on when you sail in December, there will be caroling and Santa also has been known to stop by.
Special menu in MDR on Christmas Day.

I'm tall and probably make a better door than a window for some behind me.
You should see the hat I have started wearing. 🤣 j/k
I still laugh thinking about a gentleman in the row in front of me move over 1 seat. "So I don't block your view" he said. He was much shorter than me.

Was looking at the cruise planner for our Easter '20 cruise and the pricing are ever increasing. The 3 dining package is $115 pp versus $99 on our August Anthem cruise. Chops +1 is $84 versus $79. Also, Chops and Jamie's are not listed in the SR section..
I avoid Easter week in general due to the bump in prices. Was your base cruise cost not already higher than the weeks before/after Easter?

No need to worry. Just ask your cabin steward for the extension cord and distilled water when rooms open up. Most times you will get the items within a few minutes, if not they will be there by the time beds are turned down.
Have a great trip!

I like how you keep your cards close to your vest. 😎 How early is the flight?

For those prices, we stay with the MDR for Christmas (and even NYE) - there is usually a special menu for no extra cost.
We have also been known to "move" holidays. Pick a differentiation night to celebrate whatever you want and pay less.
-
I am considering the Anthem out of Galveston for NYE. 🤣🤣🤣

If you bid and win an upgrade to a junior suite thru Royal Up, you DO NOT get double points. Read the fine print.

In your E-docs you should find a set sail pass for each person. Print them out and you can use them to get drinks before picking up your sea pass card from your room.

How is the quality of the food in their main dining room?
You won't starve. As another poster already mentioned - skip the crab cake!

because you were the one guy we spotted not washing his hands before sitting down to eat and is now responsbile for all of us having Norovirus.
It's called "socialization" my friend. Like it or not. We will bring you in to line.Let us know how that works out for you.
Feel free to follow me into the ladies' room and watch me wash my hands. Hope you bring a clipboard and mark me off as "sanitized".

Should it be a condition of entry to dining areas that you disinfect your hands? I believe it should be. On oasis last week I lost count of the number of arrogant passengers who ignored, not only the dispensers, but also the offer from a bottle by a member of staff.
What if one is allergic to something in the hand sanitizer? That doesn't make the person arrogant, just allergic.

The site I use is cruisedeckplans.com
The link below is not the main page, but gets me where I need to go.
Use pull down on left side to pull up the ship you are looking for.

So, I am reluctant to book a waterpark day when I don’t know what the weather is.
I bought the waterpark tickets when I liked the price. A week or so before the cruise, I will start checking the 10 day forecast and decide if the temps will be warm enough to keep or cancel for the wimps in my party.

If you have the room, take your own hair dryer.

The lady who gave me my rental car had an accent, so I asked her “Parlez-vous Francais?” And she said, “No, I’m from Brazil.”
= I had to wipe iced tea off the laptop - but it was totally worth it! Excellent review!
I appreciate the way you wrote about your GREAT cruise with a side of "but let me tell you about.....". My DH and I have traveled enough to know that something odd will eventually/usually happen to us. We roll with most of it and there are times we end up in laughing fits that I am sure have people wondering if our medication has worn off (laughing at the situation we find ourselves, not others).
ps - whether I am the one on land or on the boat, I always wave to back!

@PCWalton1 - playing tourist at home is a great way to experience those special places hidden in plain sight.
Hope Marie feels better soon.
Curious.....what does Marie's shoe collection look like on this adventure? 😉
+1 for your great tie choice!!!

Are you sailing the week of Easter?
-
DH and I made our own way to/from Kennedy Space Center via Uber/Lyft. It was cheaper for us to use a ride sharing app than pay for the ship's transportation. We also bought our KSC tickets online ahead of the cruise. Using the KSC maps online, we decided which exhibits were most important to us and made a rough outline for our time there. We stayed till the Center closed for the day and still didn't see/do everything we wanted. Many Uber/Lyft drivers wait in the parking lot at closing so there was no wait to climb in a car for the ride back to the ship.
changing from Traditional seating to MTD

Call RCI and ask to be switched. If not possible, ask to be put on the waiting list for MTD. If you don't get swapped before your sailing, go to the dining room when you board and ask to be switched to MTD.
