  1. Just an FYI for those that have not sailed on Celebrity Edge class their suites (was in a Sky Suite on Apex) has a nice bigger than most walk-in shower (no tub) and very nice bathroom and room layout. So, we are looking forward to trying the Oasis class for the first time. Also, as we live in Houston so easy to go out of Galveston, particularly with the new port for Allure opening next month. It should have all the bells and whistles for Suite guests as X does for Retreat guests. But, as some have said here, the port are ones we've been to a number of times, so we'll likely just stay on to enjoy the ship! Any other feedback. i.e. the restaurants onboard, some favorites and some not so?
  2. Yes, just got off Infinity Oct 8 in a suite and we ordered off of Luminae, MDR, and Blu in a combination of dishes, all were very good with some of the ones we liked most from MDR, which was surprising to us as we haven't dined in the MDR for years.
  3. Thanks for the responses. We've stayed in Owners, Grands, a Junior once and the Royal Suite once. Looking forward to an Owners on Oasis class. As far as "officer visibility", have there been Captains receptions, Officer meet and greet, etc? We got off Celebrity Infinity on Sat (Oct 😎 ) and had a number of interactions with the Captain and his Officers, particularly in Michael's Club (Suite Lounge equivalent). I know its personal preference, but any particular recommendations for food venues? Choices seem very nice.
  4. Will be our first time on Oasis class in Feb on the Allure and interested in any pro's and con's on an Owners Suite and the ship in general, such as service, food, condition, officer visibility, etc. Appreciate any feedback appreciated!
  5. Just got off Infinity Oct 8 and it was all great. And, we did have Walter! He took great care of us, and I passed along your hellos, he was pleased and says hello back. He said he's scheduled for the Beyond but is not looking forward to it and is working with his scheduler to try and change to Summit, Constellation, or Reflection. Told him we, as well as you guys, are on Reflection Oct 2023 and he would love to be on the same time to take care of us. Super nice guy and so accommodating when you needed him for anything. Our stateroom attendant was Adhy, also great. But I forgot to say hi to Nina as she is still in Luminae, we spoke with her and very nice. We had Armando serving us the entire time and he, too, was great. In fact, all the officers (very visible and were in Michael's Club frequently) and staff were very nice and helpful.
  6. We just got off Infinity on Oct 8. Stopped at Labadee, but chose not to get off as our stop before, Puenta Plata, was sweltering. We did a short walk about there, Umbrella Street, and got back on the ship. From those that got off for Labadee they said they enjoyed it, but it was sweltering and they didn't stay as long as they could have. Spoke to staff that was serving on the island and they said the same. Loved Infinity and all the officers (very visible) and staff!
  7. Having not been to Turks we were looking forward to it, but haven't been to Labadee either so it's all good! Anyone been there and any info to share, pros or cons?
  8. From cruisemapper, Carnival and MSC ships are in DR. None in Turks, so will be interesting if the pier is repaired by this weekend/early next week (I'm holding out slim hope).
  9. It does me, as our experience across both RC and X over the last 6 years has been very good to excellent (not counting the buffets). Not a fan of Raw on 5 but that was one experience and as compared to Izumi on RC. We'll find out about Sushi on 5 next week. We've even thought the room service has been good. I would like to say maybe it's because we're easy, but we have dined in some of the finest restaurants over the years across the US and I really can't complain about the food and services overall in the specialty and dedicated restaurants on-board.
  10. That's not a lot of Butler's across all the suites. Hoping Infinity is fully staffed with Butlers, but we are easy and don't ask for much. Guess my late-night pizza fix may be limited if the same holds true on Infinity!
  11. On Apex last April and for the most part the food was excellent. Found the MDR's on the same, if not higher, level at times as Luminae. We're on Infinity this Saturday, so will be interesting if our Apex experience remains the same on Infinity. Have a 3 day specialty dining package so we'll see how Tuscan and Sushi on 5 are, as well.
  12. Thanks to those with Michaels Club feedback. We're looking forward to that interior decor as not big fans of the decor on Millie or Apex but loved everything else and definitely so the Retreat pool/lounge amenities on Apex! We will be on Reflection 10/9/2023 Celebrity Reflection / 10 Night Greek Islands & Malta / Rome to Barcelona 10/19/2023 Celebrity Reflection / 14 Night Spain Gibraltar & Bermuda- TA / Barcelona to Ft Lauderdale, so look forward to impressions as we get closer to that next year.
  13. When on Millie and Apex we never made a reservation and not had to wait for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Though, we tend to eat early 6'ish for dinner and almost always get a window table. We're with another couple on Infinity Oct 1-8, so we'll see how it goes. Also, any thoughts on Michaels Club would be appreciated as this will be our first time in an old school Retreat and looking forward to it?
  14. Yes, I believe they alternate weeks between Eastern and Western Caribbean.
  15. Interesting, was not aware of that. Have been on E and M, have not experienced S class yet, but fairly new to Celebrity. It's all good!
  16. We've seen both scenarios on Celebrity and Royal, but vast majority of the time we've had servers take care of us. And, if they are swamped, I don't mind going to the bar as I like the interaction with the bartenders and if one bar is way too crowded, we head to another one!
  17. And, you can order off the Blu menu while in Luminae.
  18. And, now Tropical Depression 9 is next. Yes, go with the flow....no pun intended!
  19. Agree as having been to those ports a few times, but have not been to Turks or Dominican Republic. At least we’ll be back on a ship, which is always a good thing! Hopefully, current cruisers will weigh in.
  20. We are on the Oct 1-8 Infinity cruise and due to the damage to the cruise pier in Grand Turk can someone confirm if there was a port change from Grand Turk to Nassau on the current cruise? Also, when is formal night on the current cruise? Any other information on this current cruise due to Fiona would be appreciated.
  21. @hcat when were you on Infinity with these issues? Not recently, I hope?!
  22. Have been on Celebrity Millie (Celebrity Suite) and Apex (Sky Suite) and going on Infinity in two weeks (Oct 1-8) in a Celebrity Suite. Your Butler will stock whatever you'd like, but there is a charge for alcohol unless you ask your butler just does it for you (have heard that can happen, but I'd likely ask them to play it safe). We, too, would be interested in anyone speaking from a Royal perspective, but I think Royal and Penthouse suites they do stock complimentary.
  23. Just an FYI, we asked Shore Side Concierge Alex if she knew who are Butler and Stateroom Attendant will be for our Oct 1-8 cruise and she did not.
  24. Very much appreciate the detailed review! We are on Infinity Oct 1-8 (yes, going to be too short as we're usually on 10 days or longer!). Read some other recent reviews and thought the a/c issues were corrected from the first few return to service cruises. Maybe, hit or miss depending on the cabin? Interesting that some folks pay $60 and some $90 for a cart in Bimini (might be whoever is renting them on any given day). We are also going to rent a cart there to do some beach bar hopping, any recommendations from those that have done so? Any other thoughts from those that have been on recently is appreciate, particularly if you have stayed in a Celebrity Suite and how you found the condition, etc?
