  1. Recently on Beyond for this itinerary and enjoyed the music at Sunset and Eden Bar. Also, particularly enjoyed the productions in Eden Bar as you are up close and personal but get there early has seats go quick.
  2. We are considering Oceania for the first time (Vista for ~3 or 4 weeks) but from reading many of these posts it seems like those have cruised her repeatedly are disappointed on the current product and direction it seems to be headed in. We would be coming from Celebrity (Retreat suites) and looking for a less hectic experience (meaning less people) and a higher crew to passenger ratio for the service and amenities but maybe that is not necessarily the case on Oceania anymore? We are early and late 60's, would we be considered part of the "younger crowd" with limited choices on getting a cocktail or listening to some music later into the evening? So, am interested in thoughts on the recent/current overall experience those have been having and what we should likely expect. Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
  3. No, meant we are on in a couple of months.
  4. I'm curious about this, too, as we are on and didn't think that there were any daybeds, lounge beds, or Retreat Bar on the Retreat Deck?
  5. Thanks. Very likely a stand-up bar, but does it have seats? Reason I ask is that we received a Retreat welcome email for Eclipse that contained this picture. I'm thinking this is from a refurbed M or S class, or Ascent (we've been on Edge, Apex and Beyond so know it's not that from those)?
  6. Agree, but curious just in case. Thanks.
  7. Will be on the Eclipse Aug/Sept for Boston to Canada RT and curious from those that have sailed her recently on any thoughts regarding Michaels Club, the condition, does it have a bar, name of the current Concierges and servers (recognizing that they may not be on contract when we cruise)? Thanks in advance!
  8. Does look in good condition, the bathroom similar?
  9. Thanks for the follow-up thoughts. Yes, we do try to temper expectations based on the age of the ship, when last refurbed, etc. but might be getting a bit spoiled as other than Constellation we've been on E-class for multiple cruises. We booked this one for the itinerary, New England/Canada, so will certainly focus on that aspect!
  10. Thanks for the updated information. We are on end of Aug/Sept for 11 days in a SS. We, too, are concerned about the condition of the ship before it's update, particularly the staterooms as we were on Constellation in Dec before it's dry dock and the stateroom we had was in in dire need of a complete update and that is an understatement.
  11. We were on this cruise and the previous one (b2b) and enjoyed the Beyond very much. We did experience some stateroom (SS) noises at times (popping and creaking) but it was not consistent and not that bothersome (did not keep us from falling and staying asleep). Glad to see the dedicated butler service reinstated and they were great, along with all the crew that took care of us, and we came in contact with. We enjoy E-class, Edge, Apex and now Beyond, but did find Beyond to be more crowded than our pervious E-class cruises. On this b2b we dined in Luminae, Rooftop, Craft Social and Le Voyage with the only one we did not care for was Le Voyage (one and done for us). Would book on Beyond again depending on the itinerary and look forward to our upcoming cruises on Eclipse and Apex, though we are concerned about the Eclipse as it hasn't been refurbished.
  12. Others can correct me if I go astray, but open for lunch and dinner with daily specials on the blackboard visible from the hallway. no bar, but on E-class a bar is right next door and they will get any drink that is available when you're dining. Not sure about other functions, but I have never seen any.
  13. Mind sharing the name of your butler? We're on the Beyond in a couple of weeks in a SS so just curious.
  14. I'll add my thanks for the review. Very helpful as are on Beyond Apr/May for the first time so you have essentially confirmed the positive experience that many others have shared. We are in a SS so hopefully we won't experience the noise issues that others have had.
  15. And, if you are not aware, the Beyond has four separate main dining rooms to choose from (unique to E-class ships).
  16. How has the gym been, any issues with finding a treadmill or stationary bike?
  17. Yes, thanks. We're on her Apr/May so this is welcomed news.
  18. Great review and pics. We will be on the Beyond Apr/May and I don't recall who the concierges are in the Retreat?
  19. Dedicated SS butlers back on Ascent?
  20. Have enjoyed Apex more than once in a suite and can say we haven't been disappointed, the same on Edge TA last spring. Both the ships and Luminae were great. We had no complaints. Will say that on Edge TA they were at ~50% occupancy so that contributed to the ambiance for sure as the staff were even more affable and available than they usually are.
  21. We are looking forward to trying Rooftop for the first time after reading the mostly good reviews on CC. We just sort of haven't gotten around to it on previous E-Class cruises. Will do this time on our B2B. How has the service been?
  22. Same here, rarely see kids and have not noticed any not well behaved. Personally, we have not seen any in the solarium other than one with a parent in a hot tub on Apex once. Was well behaved. Now, I couldn't say that with the kids that were in Solarium Bistro during lunch time, no so well behaved and the parents were with them. We'll see in a couple of months on Beyond.
  23. Thanks for the summary. Great to hear! We love Apex and look forward to being back on her May/June 2025.
