  1. Hi All,

I'm looking for ideas for an upcoming visit to Grenada. My husband and I are not too thrilled with the options offered by the cruiseline. We are also not interested in taking any of the spice tours.

Do you all have any recommendations for alternative tours or activities. I'm a foodie, so a food oriented activity would be great. I guess we could also do a beach day, but that would be our last alternative or a partial one maybe.

We are not interested in snorkeling this time around.

    Thanks

  2. We just opened a checking account with capital one. They don't charge any fees to withdraw from any ATM, foreign or domestic. We will use this for our trip to withdraw cash.

  3. I'm still not sure who wins the vote for best cut of steak there - ribeye or filet. I generally prefer the ribeye cut, however everyone is saying that the ribeye in the Tuscan is not a got cut. I imagine that they come from the same vendor, although it looks like a few have said that the ribeye is better at the Lawn Club.

  4. Yes, and they will try to give it all to you at one seating. I tried the Brats, and they were outstanding.

I would give up the salad, flat breads, mac & cheese, and bread and go for an all-meat & seafood evening.

Yes, I will certainly have to give up the salad and flat bread. Everything sounds so good. Maybe my husband and I can figure out a way to sample and share.

So if the steaks have been downgraded in Tuscan Grill, what do you all recommend eating there? We have the four night specialty restaurant package, so it looks like we will be dining at all four restaurants.

  5. I've sent an email to Corfu taxis. If a couple might be interested in joining us please let me know here. I'm thinking just a general scenic coastal tour. I'll post details when they reply.

    Hi Pushka,

When are you traveling? I haven't quite decided, but I'm leaning toward the private tour.

  6. Have lunch in town, no question. I didn't try the panoramic restaurant, but Dubrovnik old town just has so much choice. It felt like every corner we turned, a new delicious smell was calling us to eat! We had a wonderful meal at the Taj Mahal Bosnian restaurant, as we knew nothing of Bosnian cuisine and we like to try different things. I would recommend it to anyone, it's mainly meat based but there was a couple of nice sounding veggie options.

I think the key as with so many places in Europe is just avoid the obvious touristy restaurants, look for somewhere with a nice local atmosphere and you can't go far wrong! Enjoy!

Sounds like a plan! We will definitely explore old town! Thanks.

  7. If the difference is $500 and you are traveling alone, you would still come out on top if you had several or most meals in the speciality restaurants. You are highly likely to get a discount any way, so even if the ultimate dining package is not available, you should come out on top. Is the food in Blu really worth an extra 500 compared to speciality dining?

  8. I'm seeking reviews for any of you who have taken Celebrity's Paleokastrita, Lakones, and Wine excursion.

I'm trying to decide on rather to use Corfu Taxi tours for a four hour tour or take the above which would save me about $100. They are both four hours long.

    Thanks

  9. I have emailed them several times over the course of the last few weeks. I initially was advised that I would be emailed back for confirmation, however after several email attempts, I have not heard from them. I have given up. Does anyone know of any other similiar companies that offer this time of excursion?

  10. Travel luv,

I am too staying at Hilton Molino, I will take Alilaguna to the hotel. Post cruise I just use the cruise transfer which cost $54, it is the same price as 40 euro. I rather post transfer with the cruise line, it is less stress and most likely you will get there plenty of time. If you arrange on your own you have to find out where to meet the transfer taxi and what if it does not show up or it too full to take you since it is share.

    LS.

    Hi lianaks,

Thanks, I had not considered the transfer witht the cruise line. Have you considered the Shared water taxi option with Venice Link (30-35 minute arrival vs 1:30) to hotel at 21 Euro?
