  1. During our b2b in January, we did have to get a covid test for the 2nd cruse, NCL will deliver a letter in your cabin as to where to go and what time, it was the day before the 1st cruise ends.  Since you have to change rooms you just need to pack your stuff and the stewart will move it to the new room.  Most of the b2b we have been on they do not make you get off the ship, you have a meeting place and time the morning of and they do the custom things on the shop.

  2. That is what is on NCL sail safe page but then on the same page under 'face coverings' is this info so one of the notices is not correct.

Effective fleetwide on March 1, 2022:

Our cruises will operate with 100% vaccination of crew and guests age five and over, therefore face coverings are not required while onboard. However, we recognize the added protections provided when wearing a mask covering and recommend that all guests do so onboard when indoors, except when actively eating or drinking, or seated at a table in a dining setting, or when in their stateroom. Mask coverings are also recommended outdoors when physical distancing of at least six (6) feet cannot be maintained. The decision to wear a mask covering when onboard is at the discretion of each guest.

  3. Looks like NCL updated vaccine requirements again,

    Mandatory Vaccinations Against Covid-19

Effective for all sailings with embarkation dates through February 28, 2022

In order to provide the safest cruise experience possible, all guests and crew will need to be fully vaccinated for all sailings. As science, technology and government regulations evolve, we will update our health and safety protocols as needed and appropriate.

Effective for all sailings March 1, 2022 and beyond

All guests age twelve and over, as well as all crew, must be fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks prior to departure in order to board. While we welcome unvaccinated children ages eleven and under onboard, it is the responsibility of the guest to be aware of any local protocols and/or travel restrictions in place at the visiting destinations at the time of sailing.

  4. We were on b2b a couple weeks ago out of Puerto Rico, we had to test within 2 days before flying into Puerto Rico, test before getting on the ship, test before starting the 2nd cruise week.  At the start of our cruise Puerto Rico required a test when getting off the ship if you were not be flying out the same day so we had planned on paying $99 to NCL for the required test BUT during the 2nd week of our cruise Puerto Rico changed the requirement and DID NOT require a test if you were staying in Puerto Rico.  I had read the new guidelines on Puerto Rico while searching the web but still received a letter in our cabin from NCL that tests were needed.  Went to customer service with the letter and they said yes Puerto Rico changed the requirements and no test is needed but they hadn't updated their system.

  5. We are on the epic now.  We got to the port a little early around 9:40 so had to wait a bit. Around 10:00 the buses were ready, went to the Sheraton got tested, back on the bus to the port and was on board around 11:40.  All dining is open, the shows are playing, there has been no port changes and we were told there are 1200 passengers this week.  So far so good.

  6. If you are referring to the PR covid test that you need to fly into PR you have to do the test and upload the results before your flight or take a test within 48 hours of arrival.

If you are referring to the covid test after the cruise you only need it if you are staying overnight and NCL will do that test on the ship before you leave but the cost is $99.  If you are flying out the same day no test is needed.

  7. Does anyone know when they quarantine you for being a 'close contact' are you in your existing cabin until the results are in?  How long do the test results take?  We are not worried about testing positive since we are double vax, had the booster and had covid last November, just don't want to stay locked up for too long.

  8. Just reviewed the travel requirements on NCL website for Puerto Rico cruises that start and end there and this is the new requirement.  So on our b2b we will test before flying to PR, at the ship on the 1st cruise, on the ship for the 2nd cruise and since we are staying a few days after we disembark we will test 1 more time either on the ship or at CVS.

    • San Juan, Puerto Rico:
      • Guests must show proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 48h of visiting Puerto Rico in order to go ashore.
      • Effective 1.16.2022, Puerto Rico will implement post-cruise testing requirements for guests who are disembarking in Puerto Rico as follows:
        • Residents of Puerto Rico:
          • Must have a COVID-19 test performed within 48 hours after disembarking the ship.
          • Must complete the Online Travel Declaration Form from the Puerto Rican Department of Health and Safety, which can be found here, https://1link.travelsafe.pr.gov/. This must be completed PRIOR to disembarking the ship and guests must show proof of the resulting QR code at disembarkation.
        • Non-residents of Puerto Rico departing the same day of disembarkation:
          • No additional testing is required to disembark the ship.
        • Non-residents of Puerto Rico staying overnight in Puerto Rico after the cruise:
          • Must have a COVID-19 antigen test performed within 48 hours prior to disembarking the ship.
            • Norwegian Cruise Line will facilitate the test that is required (cost may apply).
              • Guests who secured their flights and/or post cruise hotel stay with Norwegian Cruise Line will not be charged for the test.
              • Guests who secured their flights and/or post cruise hotel stay independently will be responsible for the cost of the COVID-19 test:
                • $99 per person for an antigen test
                • $150 per person for a PCR test (if required)
