  1. We got a call about this offer for a free inside cabin for Jan.4-5 day cruise. Deal is supposed to be free cabin except for taxes and port charges. What does this really entail? I saw some old threads but nothing recent. Is there anything else that happens with this offer?

My husband is the one who uses the casino but he is no high roller. Why was he selected? Just trying to figure this out and if it's a good deal.

i believe it is just random. I got this offer too and I am not a high roller by any means. Great offer tho. It is free except taxes and port charges. You cant go out and eat for 5 nights for that price. My sister and I booked it. Very excited

  2. Seems strange to me they are best friends and they didnt discuss this with you right from the start. When I was a kid we always knew what each other was doing and would have asked right away. I don't understand why wait til just before the cruise. Believe it or not but there has been alot of planning for your group. What time you are dining how many at your table how you want your beds single or double. your sail and sign arrangements. I don't think they are being unreasonable.

  3. I went to the naughty room because my bag hadn't been delivered I found the bag and security said they had to check it as something had shown uop on the scanner. I had forgotten what I had in there so I said o.k. {like I could say anything else} In there he found a 6 pack of 12oz.bottles of coke. he just said o.k. boy I was embarresed.

they said the suitcase didn'thave a luggage tag on it that is why they hadn't called me. So be careful putting tags on so they can't come off too easilly.

  4. Most of these I've learned from others on CC.

    1. Email a scanned copy of Passport' date=' travel guard information & credit card to self before cruise. That way if you loose everything....... this info can easily be looked up.

    2. Bring a couple clothes hangers to hang on line in shower to dry multiple items at once. Might be able to get some from steward.

    3. Purx 3 in 1 sheets to do laundry (mind you I haven't been able to find these yet, but many suggest)

    4. In Europe carry your own TP.

    5. (This one is mine) Going to make cards with names of places I'm going in Europe to hand to Cab drivers or others we are trying to get directions to. Also, looking for App for kindle.

    6. Be careful what you put in $15 laundry bag. It is all washed & dried on hot.

    Have a great cruise:D[/quote']

I found the sheets at walmart

  5. Just off a week of misery on the Fascination. To be fair, no the hurricane is not their fault, but the way Carnival handled it is. 20% off of a cruise most first timers will never take is a joke. We were off the coast of Jax and could see lights, but could we dock....no. If we docked a day early the rocking and puking would have stopped, but the casino would of had to close. They were not about to let that happen, so it was money over people, as usual.

I personally would stay home if I believed the Captian of that ship wouldn't put the safety of the passangers first. Yes the bottom line is always money but not at the risk of the crew and guests. So you puke, you are on a ship you are not in danger or they would have gotten to some port. Look at what has happened to so many ships, alot of rearranging going on. Carnival did it's best to take care of it's guests and ships. I am going out in a week I sure don't want rough waters but if they happen I will have to cope and from everything I have read over the years Carnival does THE BEST of all the lines at taking care of their guests. Starting with the price of their cruises to the size of their rooms, location of their ports and their food is better than Disneys.

  6. Strange topic, loud music, heck I think of cruises as a vacation/party time. My idea of a party will include some loud music in the appropriate places.

I must be the only one (who hates it) so I guess that is why they have it. It sometimes bothers me in the buffet area. But than I just go somewhere else. Some ships seem louder than others. I love crusing so I have to make adjustments. I am sure if they did everything my way alot of other people would not like it. I have been on princess, holland america, celebrity and disney. I find carnival the loudest but they have the best price. So I love Carnival as they make it affordable. I get to go more often.
