I would never let my child go into the pool without me being right next to them. To many children are not being watched in the water. I once was in the pool, right next to the child. The little thing went right under the water, not a sound from her. I was in the right place at the right time, I pulled her up, mouth full of water and crying. No other adult saw her go under. In a pool full of people and know one saw it happen. It takes a very short time for someone to drown. Lucky for that child that I was there. Not so lucky for that Mom who heard me flip out on her mistake. I believe she will never let her child into the water without proper attention in the future.

Running on that track is not always as easy as it looks. We use the track often on all ships. My husband can run his whole work out without any troubles. The movement of the ship does not bother him at all. As far as me running....I can not get my brain to adjust to the ship moving and me moving too. I don't know why but.......I end up walking more than running on the ships. I have to use the ships for my short runs and run my longer run on shore one day.

I have been following all of this too. My question is trip insurance. I always buy insurance when I book my trip. I always wonder if I am buying an insurance that is worth it to cover me if needed. I always worry about medical but not the part about lost wages, pet sitting or hotels. Are these things covered in trip insurance????

I guess I was not clear on what I was asking. Is the 2016 calendar complete at this time? I have a small window of time-March 17th - May 10th to cruise. We love a 7 day cruise to the Western or Eastern Caribbean. I am not seeing any at this time. Will they be updating the 2016 cruises or is this it for 2016?

I am looking to book a cruise March 2016-May 2016 to the Western Caribbean. I am not seeing many cruises for these dates that are 7 days. Are the ships still being moved around for this area. I thought by now the information would be posted.

My 32 year old daughter loves the trundle bed. We get an inside cabin for 3. We are all adults. My daughter feels like she has more room on the trundle than the sofa bed. We just ask not to have it put away during the day. This way she can go and use it anytime she might want to. If your daughter has a reason she can not climb the ladder than she needs the sofa bed. My husband and I even offer to sleep up there but.......no way! Just remember that 3 adults in a cabin makes it a close area to be in. We cruise as a family twice a year, in the same cabin. We have learned how to enjoy the area and not step on each other.

This is our 14th cruise. We love the Glory. You will have a great time. We love to play cards or bring our favorite game in the Lido, The music before dinner in the atrium is great. We have only had one drunk person late at night make us feel like it was time to find a new place to sit. You will have a wonderful time watching the waves and being with family.

Why is it ok to make it harder on the employees and not yourself. CCL employees have to return your booze back to you the night before. This take time and a well worked out plan. It sounds like it would be easier to have it set up like a coat check area. Hand them your tag and off you go with your things. Far less employees to do the work, less bottles missing, less brakeage of bottles, less hassle. Why is ok to make it harder on them, your the one who bought the booze. Have your suitcase ready to put the bottle into it. Keep your bubble wrap and tape ready, wrap bottle and place into luggage. Off you go......

Thank you Carnival. I now can carry less water onto the ship. I will replace it with a few more sodas that I can bring. Now people will just smuggle on a few more shots to make up for that one less free drink.

It looks like I am going to get a free pin every time I sail now( Gold level). I do know where they can stick that pin that I will never use! I enjoyed my free drink and we used it every time.

Check flights out of SFO,OAK, Sacramento and san jose. You can fly into MIA or FLL or get a rental car and fly into West palm beach or Tampa. Staying the night before in a hotel. Miami cost more for hotels.

We do not pay for FTF. We get to the port early around 10AM. We are always an early zone. We get off the ships early so no need to buy FTF.

Are you beach goers? Bring your own snorkel gear. Buy an inner tube at Kmart. The are small to pack and easy to carry to the beach. Take public busses to get to the beaches. If you need more snorkel information-ask. We do these ports all the time.

If you want to pay for fun----Grand Cayman go to Stingray City. In Coz swim with the dolphins. St. Maarten go to Orange Fever to swim and eat or go see the airplane land by the airport. St.Thomas take the city bus to the beach.

Watch sail away from the port side of the ship- up on the higher decks. People wave to the ship, boats follow the ship and wave riders are all around. When coming back into port ( 5AM) get up early to watch the ship pull into Miami. The view is fantastic.

We have snorkeled using the boat once. The guide was great. He had two young men with him that day too. I had never snorkeled before and was afraid to go. One of the young men stayed with me and I hung onto him the whole time. He showed me things to look at. The boat only went out a short ways from shore. My husband was not happy with that but for me... I felt safe. The water was deeper here than on West End(????) Here you do not have to worry about the coral. I believe you will enjoy the boat and the safe area.

We now go to the other side West End(?). When looking at the water go as far left as you can go. Walk into the water....WOW!!!!!! You can see fish under your feet. Swim in the coral area. Stingrays, bright blue fish and much more. Be careful!!!! The coral can cut you up and it hurts for days. It can be a nasty cut. When done, walk up the beach for some lunch(Bananarama) and enjoy your day. We bring our own snorkel gear with us. Get it at a sports store at home and bring it. Just make sure the fins fit into your carryon suitcase. Are you going to see the monkeys????

We just got off of the 4 day cruise. I was on the 3 day cruise last October. I felt that the 4 day was more of a family cruise right before school started. I feel these short cruises are nothing like a 7 day cruise. If you enjoy a short cruise you will love a 7 day one. We stayed on the ship in port days. We don't need to see these ports again. Serenity Area gets busy on sea days so get your spot early. Try to get an umbrella- you will need it out in the sun all day. We enjoyed the two main shows and enjoyed one of the two comedians that we saw. We had a great time relaxing.

If you need a hotel before the cruise look at the Maya in Long Beach. This hotel has the best pool area I have ever been to. The food is a bit high in cost. We drove in so I had a cooler with us. We watched the 3 day cruise ship sail away at night. At sunset we had a snack and wine outside. The lights from Long Beach were perfect to see.

I am looking forward to our next short cruise.

Do I want to walk left or right once I get off the water taxi? Do I want Coconuts restaurant, Umbrellas Beach bar, Lazy Days Bar or go to the Spice Market area??? Please help.

Please can you give me an idea of how far of a walk it is to get to the bus station. Do you have any idea of often the busses run. How long of a ride was it to the beach?? Was there any food to buy along with the great beer? How long of a walk was it after you got off the bus to get to the beach? I like to figure out our time to make sure we do not miss the ship. I wonder how much faster it is to take the water or land taxi.

I am looking at going to Grand Anse Beach in December 2014. I will take a water taxi or bus or a taxi to this area. I understand Umbrella is about a 20 minute walk down the beach. Is there another place before Umbrellas that we could go to??? I might not make it that far once we start to walk down the beach. Can you swim here? Is there a place to snorkel in this area???

I am looking at renting a car for a few hours. We will be there on Nov. 2 2014 on Carnival Splendor. Can someone help me figure out what location I would pick up the rental from. I am looking at Budget first. Can I just walk to pick up the rental? I understand they drive on the other side of the road. Will I need extra coverage than my normal insurance or other fees?

Any updated information would be great.

We will be there from 8-4. One location is not open until 10AM, I would rather find one that opens at 8am. I would return to the port around 2:30-3PM.

I am looking to snorkel for the day at Cane Bay, any advice would be great.

Please can someone give me more information about this beach. Is this the closest place to snorkel near the cruise ships? Where do you rent the jeep from? I understand this is not a beach but a nice place to snorkel.

How far away is Scott's Head from the cruise dock?? Can I take the city bus??? I am also thinking of a beach day at Mero Beach. Any information would be great.

This is a very old post. Has anyone used the public bus to get to Champagne Reef in the past year or sooner??? I would love some advice.

I have been on the Liberty and Valor. Is the public spa area on the Splendor the same as these two ships? I understand I can get an interior spa room ( 2 passes come with it) and I would need to buy a pass for the 3rd adult. Moving up from an interior cabin( Empress deck) to a Spa interior and buying a pass is $110 more per person. Does this area get really busy at times? Does it get so many people that you can not relax ? I watched You tube videos of the area on the Dream. Is it the same as the Splendor?

Any advice would be helpful.
