Yes, we love an aft balcony and have already done Alaska in one in 2022.This was a question for Haven proper since this will be the first time staying in the courtyard instead of Haven aft.

I see pro's and con's for both, can't make up my mind. Both Courtyard Penthouse's, 17 has larger balcony but since this is early season Alaska I don't think we will be out there too long. Please tell me your experiences and preferences. Thanks,Candy

Well, that's interesting. My FCC was requested at about 65 days out. I have gotten them in the past but I don't remember the number of days days prior to request. Hopefully you can still get a room upgrade instead at less than 55 days.

Isn't it true that the manifest must be closed within a certain amount of time? 2hours before sail away I believe. I have read of people being refused boarding because of this.

I would think that the route taken will make a difference. We are taking a more southern route next March from New York first to Bermuda then across the Atlantic to the Azores then to southern Europe.

My PCC added a third certificate last night to a 2025 cruise booked in June 2023.

If the price drops after final payment you can request a FCC ( future cruise credit ). You can only do the request 1 time, if it drops further you will not get another. I did the request just yesterday and will hopefully receive one for $1200.00 to use on my next cruise. They are good for 1 year.

We were told that all of the food is brought onboard completely cooked. We know good BBQ and this isn't it. Don't waste a food credit on it.

Never said it was difficult, said it was a Very long pier and walk. No shade, no where to stop and rest and unfortunately no pedicabs or trams to hop on. Makes a difference if you are older or mobility challenged.

Google Amazing Race Cozumel it looks like they have changed it somewhat from when we did it years ago. We did it in the town and now it seems you end up on a beach.I'm sure its still lots of fun, wish I could do it soon! BTW it says teams of 2-10 people.

It is a VERY long walk on a Very long pier to get from ship to anything.

The Haven outdoor sundeck had a designated smoking area. It looked very nice.

If I recall correctly it took at least 2-3 hours and both times we did it there were at least 8 teams.

It's been a while but i remember having to use clues to find your next challenge such as go to a museum and decode something, one of the team had to dive off a boat down 10 feet or more ( which only had 1 team at a time, who ever got there first) to get a clue, going to the "market" to look for clues and many more fun things. It really was like the TV show. When all the teams were finished we met at a restaurant to eat, drink and get our rewards. It all was very safe and we had a blast interacting with the locals. I highly recommend it. When we did this it was not a ship excursion.

Have done this twice before but not as a ship excursion. It was a blast and we never felt unsafe. The locals are familiar and are helpful with the game. We would do this again in a heartbeat.

Just off the Bliss and had a line of credit set up before sailing. Yes,they can and did give us cash when we asked for it. They don't necessarily want to but they will.

We also are very happy with our aft penthouse but wouldn't mind the DOS. I have heard that the first notice will be the ding to your credit card.

If you are asking me it is the DOS. My thought is they are waiting until the last minute in case of a cancellation.

Very interested in this as we also are sailing that cruise and our offer is still pending. Hope springs eternal! LOL
