  1. search for getaway reviews. i swear i remember someone posting a lot of picture of all the cabin types. i'll search it a bit too after my lunch and post if i find the link.

I did that search and could not find one with the slanted wall at the front of the ship the OA.

It is different that's why I would like to see the actual cabin OA.

    Thanks

  2. I found this pic on NCL and I'm pretty sure this is what you get as it seems to be the standard OV window on all NCL ships.

The OA is located in the front of the ship, therefore, it have the slanted window wall and perhaps a storage cabinet as well.

Because it is a little different from the standard...I would like a pic from someone that has cruised in an OA.

    Thanks

  3. My first CAS cruise will be on the Getaway in April.

We want to purchase Vibe passess.

I understand CAS cruisers have priority boarding.

Can anyone tell me just how much of a priority CAS offers?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  4. Thanks...that was a great thread...I really appreciate it.

I don't want to revive that thread, but someone should tell Grandpaul over there, that NCL and Harrahs are NOT owned by the same company. (He thinks they are.) Harrah's was bought by Ceasar's in 2010. Prior to that it was privately owned first, then went public, blah, blah...at one point it was owned by Promise Corp,

There maybe some issues with NCL's most recent amended S1 filing that disclosed the related party relationship with Caesar's and it's shared services arrangement with common owned entities.

Apollo Global Management, LLC is an American private equity firm, founded in 1990 by former Drexel Burnham Lambert banker Leon Black.[2] The firm specializes in leveraged buyout transactions and purchases of distressed securities involving corporate restructuring, special situations, and industry consolidations. Apollo is headquartered in New York City, and also has offices in Purchase, New York, Los Angeles, Houston, London, Frankfurt, Luxemburg, Singapore, Hong Kong and Mumbai. The firm has invested over $16 billion in companies.[3]

As of March 2013, Apollo managed over US$114 billion of investor commitments across its private equity, credit and real estate funds and other investment vehicles making it one of the largest alternative investment management firms globally.[4] Among the most notable companies currently owned by Apollo are Claire's, Caesars Entertainment Corporation, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Realogy (Coldwell Banker and Century 21 Real Estate), CKE (Hardee's and Carl's Jr. Restaurants. Ltd) and CORE Media Group (American Idol, Elvis Presley Enterprises, Muhammad Ali Enterprises)[5][6]

NCL's S1 filing (Annual Statement) is a public document and an be obtained online.

Unless the filing is erroneous Apollo owns Caesars, NCL and Carl's Jr.

Perhaps we will soon see Carl's Jr. as a option on the Getaway! And perhaps American Idol in the theaters!

  5. This has probably been discussed, however, the search function is down and I am new to the NCL threads!

The ship name Epic leads to some boisterous references!

    My Epic review!

    My Epic price drop!

    My Epic discount!

    My Epic lounge chair!

    My Epic dining experience!

    My Epic nap!

    My Epic excursion!

Perhaps it's just me and my mind's Epic wonderings!

  6. It's a business. If you want compassion try religion, charity, or social work.

Yea, Buck Up...this cruising is a tough game ......not for the weak!

Here's the best advise so far!

NEVER, NEVER,NEVER book your cruise early"....... Unless you want a highly, highly sought after cabin like an aft suite with wrap around balcony, you don't need to book in advance.

In this day of many, many mega ships, you can find a great deal last minute and a great cabin. Book as late as you possibly can wait! Always.

    Have a great time!
