Bonaire and Grand Cayman have some of the best underwater scenery in the Caribbean.  Bonaire will be more shore snorkeling (which allows you to see more easily).  Cayman has lots of options also including Sting Rays and Turtles.  Curacao isn't terrible either.  A place like Tug Boat beach is really nice.  You may want to check out the Snorkeling and Scuba page on CC as well.  Lots of helpful information there.

    Thanks

Yes our wifi,  drinks and everything in AI was for free along with added OBC.  This is when you compare it to the Celebrity rate at the time.  There are many benefits to booking through a TA.  We paid the Celebrity advertised rate and got a bunch of add ons for free by booking through the TA.

Us too..plus she had a group going so even better rates. Those I have been told are now gone!

Just another move to become more "Royal" like.  Royal doesn't include gratuities except possibly on their very top suites, which are very few.  Every move that's been made just makes the 2 lines more and more alike.  Still waiting for the one that states "We are now proud to present our new company, Royal Celebrity, with all ships from both companies included"

Celebrity is just SO disappointing, we have nothing booked with them for the first time in 25 years.  I keep sticking around here hoping to read about some positive changes but the opposite just keeps happening.......

Hope they see a huge decrease in bookings!

The options and quality may be inferior to our local Greek, Italian, and American fast casual restaurants or hotel group catering.  The only difference is the server.

Furious like you all are with elimination of tips plus the huge increase for refundable deposits. Certainly hiking the price of cruises up.  I know Celebrity read these sites but if dissatisfied, you must write cec@celebrity.com. They have been known to change or soften their stand. Glad we are booked already for 2025 with tips, otherwise would look elsewhere but once Celebrity does that, bet other lines will follow suit. Sad for hard working crew.  Where would I read more about major changes to MDR? Saw decreases last Feb. but nothing like on Princess last Dec. Will see what Princess is like when we cruise with them in Sept…and Celebrity in Dec. Jan. Feb. and March. Yes, we love Celebrity but enough is enough!

We have been traveling Celebrity since my 50th birthday on the Infinity in Hawaii in 2002 in a Sky Suite. We are Elite and close to elite Plus. Lots of great trips and we booked a Caribbean cruise in Feb of 2023 in an aft corner sky suite on Reflection. It took more than 24 hours for the Butler to come to our room. Honestly, that was not a big deal for us but when she did come, informed us that our butler did not arrive to the ship and so they would be working us in. Again that  wasn’t a problem .  I asked if I could have a latte delivered every morning at 9 o’clock ,there was a frown and a response that “I’ll try to do that.”Never happened. We get up early, so we just got our own.Never contacted Butler again.I did not report it or say anything else because I thought maybe there was an issue with the Butler’s. After all the reports of the Butler service changing now I understand. Luminia   was  very good as always as the rest of the ship.We decided to book an additional cruise in 2024 in the Caribbean for an easy getaway and as we truly do love those corner aft sky suites and we knew Butler service wasn’t that good.I got home and started going over the shortcomings, but also all the services of Celebrity, and decided to look around at other Lines for Caribbean cruise ..long story short, I found what I thought was a much better price on Regent than Celebrity  with all amenities and a 430 sq ft room with balcony, tours, tips, transfers, drinks of any kind..No butler on Regent pricing on the catagory I booked, but service was great without one on previous sailings.I have traveled Regent three other cruises so relatively new  to them. I canceled my Celebrity cruise and lost deposit as I knew I would.First time to cancel with them other than Covid. This little experience is just to let everyone know before you cruise any lines, keep checking and checking. I still appreciate Celebrity and all those wonderful cruises, but maybe Regent… I may love you more!

Thanks for sharing; have cruised every Feb. for last 53 years and many with Celebrity but very disappointed now with their new additional fee    whenever you book for refundable deposit... months ahead.  Just booked for Feb. 2025 and had to pay a lot extra for refundable deposit where it use to be 90 days before Good advice; will check Regent price. Plus big changes in menu for main dining room and evening buffet with Celebrity!  Maybe time for a change.

You can use this attached map to guide you in making the connection on rue Charest est. The route 80 bus from the airport should make its final stop at position E1 (but depending on where the bus is going next, it is possible that the driver could let you off elsewhere in the vicinity). You can then find routes 1 and 18, going in the direction of rue Abraham Martin, at positions E1 and E2.

In the opposite direction, routes 1 and 18 will drop off passengers at positions D2 and D1, and the route 80 bus to the airport will pick up passengers at position D1.

OMG; you are so helpful; best map of any that I have looked at. Sincere thanks. Flying home from New York so don't need to get back to airport but good advice for another cruise.

RTC does operate a route 1, but it is not the most convenient for going where you're destined. The best that you could readily do is change to route 18, destined for Gare du Palais. It only operates half-hourly, so you might want to check the schedule to avoid an excessive wait. Gare du Palais is the final stop on this route. From the terminal loop bus stop, turn left onto rue Abraham Martin. Then turn left at the next corner, at rue de l'Estuaire (there's a sign at the corner pointing the way to Quai 30), which will lead you direct to Wharf 30. About a 10-minute walk. Were you to travel on route 1, you would alight on rue Saint-Paul, at rue Abraham Martin, from where you would have a 15-minute walk.

Sincere thanks. That’s what we will do. Love this site and all the people who are so helpful.

  8. Travel bureau told me to take bus 80 from airport to the end of the route and when you get off, you will be on Blvd. Charest.

I need to get to Wharf 30 from there which is  located at 300 Rue de l'Estuaire.

Is it possible to walk into Princess terminal with your directions or should I take a taxi from end of bus line 80?

I understand Princess offers a shuttle service but can't find out where you get it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank You

Ok... so my brother's experience with Hotels are that the Crowne Plaza had the best deals in the past for staying overnight and leaving your car in their lot.  I think that some of these hotels have sections that you are supposed to park in.

The last time he had a friend locally drive him and subsequently pick him up.  He has also just used park and fly and been happy with that.

I personally think that car theft is a possibility anywhere and that should not be the reason you don't use parking at Toronto airport.  At any given time there are likely 50,000 cars or more between all the airport onsite and offsite parking lots.  I don't think that theft is a major problem.  I think that there have been rashes of theft from time-to-time but also if you Google it now and look at the dates of these articles, they are not recent.

The option to stay in a hotel is good if your outbound flight is early morning, but if you have a 6pm or 8pm or later flight and you have to check out by 11am, then what are you going to do until your flight time?  The Toronto Airport Strip as they call it is not that exciting.

VIA and the UP is an option, again if the times all match up but the challenge is that there is not a plethora of trains between Toronto and Sarnia all day long, so this would only work if you can align all the times.

I suggest drive and park as it will be your best option.  Just ensure that you take pictures of the car garage, where you parked, where the entrance is to get back to your car in the airport... is it near the international end or the domestic end... what level of the airport terminal is the entrance, etc.  I have known people to spend 30-40 minutes trying to find their car again.

Thought train was great idea but only one a day so we are driving ; great info you gave me; thanks

There are articles about this if you Google, but most are older and not current.

I know that this is probably not an option for you because your profile suggests that you are in Sarnia, but I personally would never leave my car at the airport if I did not have to.  I use a limo service but I am only 20 minutes away.

I have a friend that travels frequently for 3-7 days at a time for work and always leaves her car in the airport covered lots attached to the terminal.  Expensive, but she has had reasonable luck.  She has had damage - people backing into her and denting her doors, etc., but in general been lucky.  And not serious damage - just what I would call expected parking lot damage.  Heck, prior to pandemic when I still commuted to Toronto Downtown daily I used the GO Train out of Mississauga and never in my life had I had so much parking lot damage as in the GO Train lot daily.  That is a risk in any parking lot.

I would choose the main lot at the airport attached to the terminal that you are flying out of.  I would suggest that the security here is probably better than in the off site lots.  Also when you arrive at the airport and return, you are not chasing and waiting for shuttles - you can walk to your gate and back to your car.

You could try the hotels that have a stay and park feature.  My brother lives in London Ont and he does this often.   I will check with him and see what he suggests, however my choice if in your shoes would be the attached lots at the terminal.

The other option a friend does that lives similar distance to you is she has friends that are 20-30 minutes from the airport and she parks at their home and takes a limo to the airport.  Is that an option for you?

Thanks for your advice; If you find out where your brother stays form London; would be interested.  No friends near that area where we could leave our car.

It is more  money but  we park in the Value Garage  good in winter  month

Sign up for their special offers

We do not have a limo service   so 2nd best option for us

Several hotels in the  airport area that have paid or  free parking if you stay a night

We have used Delta  on Dixon road in the past  Hilton  close to the airport  Cannot recall the name of the street

     YMMV

    Thanks

For longer trips we use the Valet parking.  We can usually find discounts, especially with CAA.. But for shorter trips we sometimes use the stay and park at the Hilton. But if we owned a higher end vehicle that are known targets of car thieves, we would look for other options. Fortunately, thieves don't seem to be interested in old Volvos. Our neighbor had his brand new Lexus stolen from his hotel long term parking lot.

Thanks;forgot to ask about CAA.  Yes, I know they usually go for newer and higher end cars

It would be over $500 on your next to park at Person compared to $200 at Valet Park’N fly

That's how I generally look at it.  Risk vs Reward.   Remember you don't lose the entire deposit only $100 pp and the remainder is available as FCC.   I generally book onboard with $100 pp deposits so I'm very willing to risk $200 for a savings of $500 or more.

I'm not 100% certain but I believe if you book under Cruise with Confidence before 11/30 and you cancel they don't take the $100 pp penalty and you get the entire deposit as FCC.  Fine if you are planning on sailing again.

Read the fine print; you only get a year from the time you booked your cruise to use the non returnable deposit. So if I booked with non refundable deposit in June for the following March; and cancel; I lose $100 pp plus must use the remaining amount by next June.
