We are sailing Allure on October. One of the amenities I got from my travel agent was a complimentary lunch at any specialty restaurant. We were thinking of going on day of embarkation to avoid the Windjammer. I know for PAX with The Key they get an embarkation day lunch..but are there any other options for that day?
We are also getting Johnny Rockets for staying in a BW balcony. But won't do that until later in the week.
Thank you and happy cruising.

We usually book OV balconies on cruises. Occasionally an ocean view. In October we are sailing on the Allure. Our very first Oasis class ship. I have wanted to sail an oasis class since its debut. We are booked in a BW balcony cabin 10325. We love people watching so we are excited about that. Plus, we lived in NYC for 15 years so the noise won't even be a factor for us. Those cabins are so unique I really wanted to try one. I did a lot of research and found that 10325 is a coveted cabin so I was thrilled to be able to grab it. We were originally on Deck 14. Plus, we got the cabin for a steal.
This is also a special cruise because it is a belated 50th birthday for me (I turn 50 in a few weeks), our 10 year anniversary in November and husband's birthday the day we disembark the ship.
Happy cruising.

Wow! Thanks for all your responses. It is very interesting.

I only remember MAYBE four CD's out of all of the cruises we have been on. I know many sail certain ships because of the CD's, but for us it makes no difference. Just curious what others think. Happy cruising.

the person who entered that fare into the system is probably the same one who entered the 18 dollar beverage package. How can airfare have been purchased already? Something isn't right here!

You don't get your air schedule until about 30-45 days out. They try to do non-stops but that isn't always the case. And very often they are basic economy fares. I wouldn't do it, even for free.

The unrest in PR is over. The Governor resigned. While I understand your issue..just go and enjoy yourself. You're on a cruise. These are first world problems! Have a great cruise.

Ah..I guess it was wishful thinking on my part!

Generally 60 days prior to departure!

As a daily smoker/edible user..I get the OP's question. I look at it this way..cruise ships are not US flagged and while in non-US ports do not have to follow US law. Meaning, that they can and will search your cabin WITHOUT your consent. Our last cruise we saw two different people go off in handcuffs for possession of weed. The cops that were taking one of the guys off had his bag in their hand. It was about an quarters worth. Small amount and not worth the risk.
Is there something you can use as a substitute for the week so you can enjoy yourself? I hope you find relief some how.

Thanks..I will stick with what I have..I was just having one of those moments!

Hi-We are booked on in BW balcony..on deck 10 perfect location for the AQ theater view..about 3 back from the end. I not worried about noise factor..but wondering if I should move to CP balcony instead. But I really love the location of the BW. Should I stay where I am?

Was it part of the free air promo? It is usually the lowest fare class and very often basic economy. Which is very restrictive. But I suppose you can try.

We are..and we are soo excited about it! This will be our first (of many I hope) festivals. at sea.

As others have said..the permission to sign for any medical issue that may arise is also very important.

Just did my online check in for our cruise on the Allure. Ninety days and counting. Come on October!

Thanks for the great review so far!

I lucked out. We booked a BW balcony on Allure in May for an October sailing. I was originally 1800 total. Which I thought was a steal..price dropped down to 1640. So had the adjusted. I looked the other day it is over 2100 now.

We will be sailing the Allure in October. We chose anytime dining as we like the flexibility. So is American Icon the only dining room for that? Beside the obvious Windjammer or specialty dining. Seems like one dining room for people with my time it will be difficult to get a table.
Which Specialty restaurants are open on Allure on Embarkation day?
