I love the breakaway

Thank you for the answers. I will do some hunting to find where in Bermuda I can potentially get my hands on a few Cubans.
Be careful, they sell a lot of fakes
-
Looking at Breakaway's March sailings. Noticed that there's nothing listed from March 11-18th. Is there no cruise that week, or is it just sold out?
-
Yes, there is a casino player card. If you book through CAS, they usually have it waiting for you in your cabin. If not, just ask when you get to the casino and they will make you one on the spot. The casino opens as soon as the ship hits international waters, and usually stays open til very late. I've seen it close at different times, depending on how many people were playing. In my experience, the casino closed in all ports with the exception of Bermuda, where it was permitted to open at 9pm.

Thank you all for your responses

Do you mean Nassau? It would be up to the Captain. Atlantis is a Marriott owned resort that is a 15 minute taxi ride from the dock. It costs a lot of money to use their facilities. I spent $900 for four adults and 2 children for everything. I wouldn't be able to do that a second day.
Yes, I meant Nassau

The OP asked a real question. Your nonsense replies should at least have an emoticon. Maybe this ;)
To OP: it will be up to the captain to decide the best thing to do, depending on itinerary and sea conditions.
Thank you. Hadn't ever given it any thought til reading a couple posts about it happening sometimes especially in february/March. I wouldn't care either way, especially if the extra time was spent at Atlantis!
-
Just as the title says, I'm curious as to how the itinerary changes if the captain decides to skip GSC due to weather. Does the ship go to Atlantis and spend the extra day there?
-
What about when they explode in peoples faces and pockets then? And how do you stop people from bringing the bad ones that explode versus what are considered safe ones? My daughter uses one, so I am not against them. I am, however, against an explosion and/or fire on the cruise ship that I am on.
Well if that happens then it'll be easy to spot the vaper. :D

Nobody in their right mind could possibly be offended by an e-cig on a balcony. You can smoke one in a windowless enclosed room and not smell it. It's impossible to know someone is even smoking one unless you stick your head around the divider and look. MAYBE if you have one of those gross cotton candy flavored e-cig juices or something like that it could be a problem, but if you use scentless there really is no issue.
This is 2018, where people get offended by what color shoelaces you're wearing lol. I'm with you, there's no flame and no smell, therefore no fire hazard and no offensive odor. have at it.
-
Yes, people still do it. It is very hard to prove someone was smoking, as smoke travels, so a fine almost never happens.

You can cancel your bids via the NCL website where it says "lets get you upgraded"... The upgrade number is 1800-625-4309
-
I'm resisting the urge to up my bid, and being encouraged not to by the fact that it is still available to me on the NCL page, but I'm tempted to just bid a little higher and be done with it. I know we still have almost two weeks and some don't get an answer until 48 hours before.
Have you priced out to see how much it will be to purchase the room you want outright? I know that sometimes people bid almost as much or sometimes even more than it would cost to buy the room. Just a thought. It happened to me recently, so I say this from experience lol. Either way, best of luck to you!

If you are in a suite it’s not going to change.
Yes, both my original room and the new one are suites. It doesn't matter to me that it didn't change, but since the OP mentioned it I figured i'd chime in.
-
Don’t use the old email. Go to your reservation on NCLs website and look for the “lefts get you upgraded” link.
I tried that as well, same thing. It still shows me the room that I purchased. At first I thought maybe it just takes some time to update, but its been a couple weeks now
-
Yes. Even if you call and get upgraded because of a price drop you should get a new upgrade opportunity. You might not get a new email but the options should change on your online account upgrade link.
I called up and bought a higher priced room than what I had initially booked, but my original upgrade email never adjusted. It still shows me the chance to bid on the room that I bought outright

Thank you!

I have never purchased the cruise next certificates on board, but I want to start. Being that I always book through casinos at sea, does it make a difference? I always get a comped balcony which I then pay the difference for a better room, will CAS be able to apply to apply my cruise next certificates towards that balance?
-
Might just be my imagination, but it sure seems like cruise ship casinos have more slot winners early in the cruise versus late. Anybody else notice the same thing?
It certainly does seem that way. But I think it's just coincidence because to reprogram the machine payouts would mean opening them all up one by one and working on them. Near impossible
-
I can't think of anything you've forgotten, but just want to say CONGRATULATIONS!! I want to do a transatlantic as well one day, maybe my next cruise. Which ship are you travelling on? Please post review afterwards. God bless, and have a great time!

So I'm new to NCL, but cruising in a few weeks. Was thinking about trying to put in for an upgrade from interior to balcony, but I am booked under my friend's land-based casino offer. Will we lose any of those perks if I try to bid on an upgrade?
Thanks,
No, you keep the same perks you had when you initially booked
-
I bid over $1000 per person for H4 and H5 I'm 24 days out now and they have been showing sold out for a week, so I guess I was not lucky so I cancelled my bids - I'm a new cruiser and didn't know about the suites and haven when I booked - if I had I would probably have just booked them outright
To be honest it was stressing me out checking everyday so now I am just gonna take my money and use it to book suite/haven for my next cruise ( if I like my first one) we are just going to stay where we are and hopefully have a fabulous time
Put your bids back In! Those who are in the cabins currently showing sold out will get upgraded, thus leaving their cabin (the one you bid on) empty. That's how it works. They don't usually award those cabins til 2 days before the cruise

I have heard the gym on the Epic is wonderful and huge. Yes, I know I am on vacation, but I want to be able to eat and drink without worry. If you have been on the Epic and have been in the fitness center, I have a few questions.
1. What time does it open?
2. From pictures, it seems like the equipment is pretty similar to most gyms at home. Do they have a rowing machine or any other machines that are not in every gym?
3. Is the classroom with ballet barres available for use when there is not a class in session?
4. Are the Ryde (spin) bikes available for use when they are not being used for a class?
5. How are the classes in general? I know most of them have a charge, right?
Thank you,
Kathleen
1.It opens early in the morning. I dont remember the exact time, but I know it was at least 7am
2. It's very big and has everything, including rowing machines
3. When I was there, the classroom with ballet barres was available for use even when empty, you could just walk in
4. Not sure about the spin bikes being available
5. Never took any classes either
