  1. Learned this one from my mother: Save undies that need to be pitched but you could wear one more time. Take them on vacation and discard as you go.
  2. I recently tried L’Oreal Sublime Bronze Coconut Water Mousse in medium. I am pasty white. I really liked that all it did was “knock off the white”! It smelled slightly of coconut, nothing strong. I used a mitt to apply it.
  3. Have you ever looked at The Vivienne Files? Look at her Tote Bag Travel for inspiration. https://www.theviviennefiles.com/?s=Tote+bag+travel. She also has a plan for carrying 16 pieces that will give you multiple outfits (I counted 24 in posting). https://www.theviviennefiles.com/?s=4x4 I use the examples for inspiration. I use the template to actually get my travel capsule wardrobe together. 16 pieces may be too much for a small backpack, though. Also, check Eileen Fisher for her viscose jersey dresses. I have two (discontinued, of course) that I can wash out at night and they will be dry to wear by morning. I have often wondered if I had the nerve to go on a trip with only my 2 dresses (one navy, one black). I may give it a try on a Panama Canal cruise later this year.
  4. Thanks, @Mary229, Because of your tip, I was able to find my shore excursions on Itinerary, although finding Itinerary wasn’t easy!
  5. My *big* problem was this morning. BIL and I worked on it for more than an hour! This afternoon, I’ve managed to get to my boarding pass and get a screenshot of it. Regardless, over the three months since we made our reservations, I have found the app to be almost totally worthless and the website to be too clunky for words. I have excursions that are not showing up on the app, dinner reservations that are not showing up on the app, etc. Fortunately, I have confirmation emails, so I’m not worried…but I am annoyed.
  6. @Nickelpenny Taking a screenshot is always my go to, even for QR codes when returning things. Lots easier to pull up a photo and depend on an app or scroll through email. Nevertheless, thanks for the tip! I’m still irritated that HAL can’t get their app to work properly. I’ve sailed with RC, X, and NCL since apps became a thing and never had issues like I’ve had with HAL.
  7. My BIL and I were each separately trying to access the website today and could not! We tried both the app and the website over an array of different devices (iPhone, iPad, and laptop) and we could not access the information we were looking for. This scares the bejeesus out of me! What are we going to do when we get to the terminal and it is time to show our boarding pass??? I’m starting to kill a forest because I’m printing out everything that I might need. I have zero confidence that I can access my information when I need it. I am really disappointed that HAL can’t get their act together.
  8. A friend and I are on the Koningsdam 7/9. We are under the same booking number. When I try to input information into VeriFly, it wants me to also input her information. I do not want to do that, in case somehow one or the other of us doesn’t go. Is it possible for each of us to have her own VeriFly account and input her own information, even though we are under one booking number?
  9. @triiip42Yes, I used them with the integrated magnet on the back. The extra metal piece is for using the magnet on the back when the object you are sticking them to isn’t metal. From reading the reviews, once the extra metal piece is affixed to an object or a wall, it is pretty permanent.
  10. I bought these night lights for my last cruise. They sound similar to the ones WilloL described but smaller. They have magnets on the back that are quite strong. I fully charged them before my 7 day cruise and did not need to recharge during the cruise. https://www.amazon.com/AUVON-Rechargeable-Adjustable-Brightness-Cabinet/dp/B07MHVTHQS?pd_rd_w=yQBkr&content-id=amzn1.sym.bc622850-a717-4d94-96c3-7cc183488298&pf_rd_p=bc622850-a717-4d94-96c3-7cc183488298&pf_rd_r=2ZKQBTGGPNSGY7JTA0MC&pd_rd_wg=TQ0AE&pd_rd_r=5bf6d085-ddd4-4ddc-afe2-22b9873d21ae&pd_rd_i=B07MHVTHQS&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_d_rp_36_t
  11. Gee, this answer may be too late, but I hope not. The last time we sailed out of Vancouver (2019) we stayed at the Fairmont Waterfront. The hotel bell staff took our luggage to the pier. It was a short, very easy walk from the hotel to the pier. IIRC, there is an underground tunnel from the hotel to Canada Place.
