We live in Florida and had our August 4-day Liberty cruise cancelled so we booked the Breeze for Sept. and received more OBC and casino fun play than the cost of the whole cruise (deluxe ocean view). I have my doubts that will even go. Maybe our Nov. Legend out of Tampa will go - let's hope. Have a Holland cruise booked for Feb.

Florida Covid-19 cases are going up and down right now with over 41,000 cases and almost 1800 deaths. Of course our idiot Governor has stopped county public health departments from releasing their statistics now, so who knows what the real stats are?

Did he ? I’ve been at work all day so I’m not caught up on the news

John Heard said on 5/8/2020 that construction has not begun on the Radiance. I wonder if it will be finished.

I wonder if they will start it or just decide not to. I think we would have plenty of time for our December 5th cruise if construction hasn't started yet. We are just hoping cruising has started up by then so we know what to expect.

  3. My December 5th sailing disappeared off the website. I did a mock booking last night to check for a price drop and there were cabins still available. Maybe they are just trying to limit capacity but probably not 😭 In a way kind of relieved because we wanted to so how other sailing fared before we went!

I would like to see it if its done as I would be interested to see if they did anything different than the sunshine from any of the feedback they got. It makes no person difference to me but with all the virus talk it would give us all something else to talk about

Agreed! It would be nice to speculate about other topics right now!

Anyone who is looking at what's going on in NY knows that cruising from this area is done for this season and beyond. Weather or not the Radiance is ready or not will not change that. Although it would be interesting to see the Radiance all done, I am skeptical this is accurate. It doesn't make a difference on any basis if it is or isn't.

Someone on another social media site posted from the shipyard in Spain showing them working on the Radiance. Who knows how true it is or when the picture was taken. Our cruise is in December from Port Canaveral so there could still be a chance for this sailing

  6. Sea day!

We did the Dr. Sues parade the year before on the Magic and you would have thought we were torturing our son. They refunded us that year for the breakfast because he had such a meltdown. Guest Services actually told us they wouldn’t refund us but it was credited back that day. I suspect because I didn’t argue about it and wasn’t rude!

This year our son was pretty excited. They had Dr. Suess week the month before at school so it was still really fresh for him. The grandparents came which really made it more fun for him. From what I remember the food was really good. My son and I ordered the French toast that is smothered with fruity sugary cereal! I could eat that every day 😂 I want to say my hubby had some type of steak that was colored weird! Carnival really goes out of their way to make this fun and special and for $5 a person you can’t beat it.

We spent the rest of the day at water works which my son really loved this year .Just a note there were a lot of older kids that decided they wanted to play really rough with the younger kids and their parents decided they didn’t need to “parent” their kids. It’s ok because I don’t mind doing it for them! People watch your damn kids ! Sorry rant over !

we might have went to the steakhouse on this night. The food is always so good but my little one wasn’t having it for some reason so we cut it short so we didn’t disrupt other people.

Next stop: Grand Turk or as I like to call it the big pee pee pool !

From other sources I've that isn't accurate.

From where? Not arguing , just genuinely curious.

That person on social media called and the lady read her a memo released by Carnival that day. I ended up calling and the rep said it was scheduled to be completed in two days. I was under the impression that work hadn’t even started yet and that the shipyard was closed because of Covid.

I guess another worry is whether this cruise will actually stop at the ports on the itinerary we booked it for. We have never visited Bonaire and it was the main reason we booked this cruise. The islands themselves will determine when they will be open to cruise ships and it may alter the itinerary.

We were wondering about this as well. We booked this cruise for Bonaire and Aruba. I wouldn’t mind an 8 day cruise to no where or a private island though! I’ve been working through this quarantine (not from home ) with a 4 year old in tow !

  9. I went on it for a bachelorette cruise and we had so much fun. We actually don’t drink and were worried it would be a “booze” cruise and it wasn’t at all. Great service and great food and the ship was clean

  10. Puerto Rico:

Another favorite port of ours and another place I would consider living. My husband especially loves stopping here. I think it’s the strong coffee he loves 😂. As usual we probably ate in the lido Buffett. My husband usually goes to Blue Iguana for their breakfast burritos and then comes to sit with us.

The weather was beautiful again this day. Not to warm and kind of breezy. I was on a mission this trip to find that street with all the umbrellas which I cannot for the life of me remember the name of and I am to lazy at the moment to google! Right when we got off the ship we made a bee line to the nearest coffee shop to fuel the miles and miles of walking that I will force everyone to do. We were also armed with an umbrella stroller which is soooo much fun on old cobble streets 😂. We found the street pretty quickly and it was deserted since it was so early! Definitely worth the walk. After that we strolled around for a while. We found a park where a lot of local schools kids were playing and let our son play for a while. After that we walked the long way to the fort following the water. We love going this way so we can see all the stray cats! We played around outside the Fort for a while and then walked back through downtown.

I mentioned before that it was so cold on the ship so we shopped around for a sweatshirt for me. We ended up at one of my favorite stores , you guessed it, Marshall’s ! I had to take a picture in front 😂

After the long day we went back to our cabin to relax before dinner.

My husband thought it would be funny to wear “bubba” teeth on this cruise which I bought for him and immediately regretted my decision. We would get into an elevator and he would slip them on and just stare at people with his mouth open!!! I could have divorced him after day 7 of this 😂

Here are some pictures from that day !
