  1. I have found that if I scroll very slowly through the contract (as if I am actually reading it, but after all these cruises I know what it says!) eventually it will let me click the accept button.  This is what I do on my phone and the app; never tried it on laptop.  YMMV

Princess Prizes - when casino is open and you go in or out of your cabin you are entered in a drawing.  No need for you to do anything but enter or leave your cabin at those times as far as I know.  We won $25 OBC on the Sky Princess a year or so ago. (Haven't been on a cruise with Premier package since although we do get Plus.)  The picture package included with Premier is a real bonus - all pictures taken on board, three printed out and all pictures on a thumb drive.  Two Specialty dining meals are on the Premier and unlimited casual venues (don't know which are available on your ship). Plus program does not include specialty restaurants and only two casual meals per cruise.  Desserts are huge ice cream sundaes, but I have read you can substitute gelato or the special cakes at the International Cafe.  Both programs include specialty coffees and the International Cafe is similar to Al Bacio in that respect.   No fees (yet) for buffet or main dining rooms.  Hope this helps!

  3. The Medallion replaces the old key card, you can carry it in a pocket or purse or wear it on a lanyard or a clip.  You can pick it up at the pier.  The Medallion APP is where you do your check in, reserve dining etc.

    I saw one video (hollydaysatsea) that showed an ocean view.  They do not have the glass doors and only two doors, not three as the balcony cabins show.  Hope this helps.

We have sailed with Princess since about 1994 so all our information should never change.  However, one time my hubby's birthdate was wrong (pre-app era) but it wouldn't let us check in/complete info.  I called our TA and he took care of it with Princess.  OP if you have a TA please call and check with them about this instead of driving yourself crazy.  That's part of the TA's job IMHO.

We had to cancel the Sky for December 9 as hubby was diagnosed with Covid while we were on previous cruise on Celebrity APEX.  Our TA was part of our group and he immediately called Princess and cancelled for us.  When we got home a few days later I had already received a refund of port fees and taxes refunded to our credit card.  It took about 2-1/2 weeks for Princess to issue FCC for all costs minus the price of the insurance and it has to be used (booked AND sailed) by December 31, 2024.

     

    Hope this helps.  I am pretty sure the insurance company was still AON but I never dealt with them for anything, and am very pleased with how this issue was handled.

    They need to fix this shoreside snafu before eliminating the old app. If not, even with our Medallions in hand we’ll be stuck in the longer Blue check-in line.     I just went online on my laptop to the Princess website and did the check in from there.  Actually it had all my information that I had entered on the old app.  It does not ask for the CC information for shoreside purchases and according to it we are both green lane. On the new app I am blue lane and hubby green because I refuse to give out CC information for some website I have no intention of ever using.

    This is what I think now, and I could be wrong.  When I first opened the app I was completely checked in; Green Check marks for everything.  Then I read the posts about the shipboard/shoreside issue and was concerned when I saw my CC listed in the shoreside section.  So I went back and was going to delete the card from shoreside, but instead went to shipboard and clicked on the CC box then on the COMPLETE tab.  When the app came back up I had a "you're all set " message, and my cc box had a blue line around it.

    I don't think the shoreside card is activated (or whatever you want to call it) until you click it and hit COMPLETE  .I'm guessing I have all green marks just because the card is listed and has the potential to be activated.

    May be, however since a credit card I have not used recently (in the last year) on Princess showed up as being available to be activated that made me very suspicious.  If I recall correctly, since I already deleted the card information, it did say it was activated and everything was green,   I shall wait and see what happens with this new version of the app.  Since I already deleted it, with no screen shots, I couldn't prove anything.  But just to be on the safe side, when we are ashore, I am carrying my wallet that has RFID protection and putting my Medallion inside it as usual.

    It WASN'T there yesterday and we were both Green Lane.  Today it was there (glad I checked) and now I am Blue Lane and hubby is still Green.  Our cruise isn't until September on the Sun Princess TA and I hope they get their act together before long.

    Sorry, I haven't read all the  posts after this but I just did this.  I did NOT authorize use of my cc for shoreside and two cc that I have used with Princess in the past showed as authorized for shoreside.  Grrr.  

     

    At any rate, click on the cc on the shoreside portion.  There are three dots in the upper right corner, click there and it gives option to delete card.  I did it and it put us back as blue lane but I don't care about that.

    Susan I believe you will be boarding APEX as we get off from the December 2 cruise.  I agree this post has made me want December to get here - now!  Thank you @Dreamer68for these pictures and if you have more please post!

    I go to the search option (upper right on my laptop) and enter a cabin number and search in this topic to find if there is any information on that cabin.  Hope this helps.  

  14. I booked ours with no issues.  When you got to the final payment page it told us we had the Premier package for both nights.  I have read others reporting they do charge their credit card and then once onboard they have Passenger Services refund due to the package. 

     

    Edit to add: I do not know if final payment had anything to do with it but we had paid in full.

    Aah - thank you.  I did not see that post as I had not read through the whole thread.  I will check as you advise.

    Also September 5.  🙂    Way too far out to get anxiety over this, but there you have it.  We live out in the country so using public transportation is very far out of our wheelhouse!

    Thank you for that tip.  We don't sail until September of 2023 and I already had anxiety about finding the right bus/train.  Sounds like something we need to really consider!
