Carnival will most likely NOT be sailing full. As with all other cruise lines they are amidst a staffing shortage. Therefore, yhey might cap booking to a certain percentage to keep the staff to passengers ratio consistent to deliver their product effectively and efficiently.

WOW the OP really hit a nerve with you… Where did it say they we contemplating removing the service charge, or even lowing it? It was simply an observation. And it happens to be relevant and appropriate. The Haven category should always be at the highest DSC. Suites, 2nd and all others 3rd.

You stated you have 2 Cabins on this cruise. And that their are differences in the layout. Would it be possible to see what the differences are? It seams the Port side cabins are 564 Sf while the starboard SP’s are 512sf. We have the smaller of the two booked. Could you take 5 minutes and show us how the layout is different. PPV are currently listed as a free included perk for the Haven & SP guests. You are however confusing the movies channels with the ITV PPV movies. According to the most current amenities list PPV ON DEMAND MOVIES ARE INCLUDED “EXCEPT ADULT TITLES”

So by your thinking. If i get two Connecting staterooms that doubles the square footage, I should pay double for each person. Two larger inside family cabins have more SF then the inside family suite. Your logic is faulty. Nice try though. You 100% did not absorb the spirit of the OP’s observation.

I know costs have gone up. But I was looking and comparing prices on Royal, Carnival Vs. NCL. In an apples to apples comparison NCL is about 30% to 50% on average higher. For example most sushi rolls on Carnival are $5-8 NCL, same rolls $15-18. Same goes for other specialty restaurant prices. I dont think NCL has thr same buying power as Carnival, when they buy for 7 different lines. They all get supplied by SYSCO, AVR Provisions ect… Its not like NCL is higher end. Its a mainstream line. Its crazy to me.
