How quickly things change, now it’s 11 days. I had to grab a 2 day Bahamas cruise. First time doing a 2 day.

We would rather spend 2 days in Miami or the Keys. We feel the hassle of embarkation and debarkation are too timely. Check into a nice hotel, always a lounge chair by the pool and a great selection of international foods.
I spend my life in Miami, I wanna get out of here. 😁

I’ve never done a 2 night, I think I’m going to check this out with my PVP.

67 long days to the Victory.

My only Alaska cruise was in May,. The weather was nice, not too cold and no rain. I was told later in the year you have a lot of rain.

Yes, the steakhouse is worth the extra $$. Not sure about the child’s menu part.

They gave out plastic straws if you asked for a straw on my last cruise at the beginning of the month.

I was just offering some additional info. since your response to KTB was an attempt to say they were wrong. Within military regulations, there's some gray area. In the civilian world, as I said before, I have only ever known midnight to be the start of the new day. And since this is the Carnival forum, even Carnival acknowledges midnight as a new day, because when they refer to deadlines, they note the end of the day being 11:59pm.
Now back to the regularly scheduled discussion about how and where the Glory damage will be fixed.
I have heard it both ways, I have been told there is no such thing as 2400 and don’t use it.
Sorry, back to topic 🙂

I have only ever known midnight to be the start of the new day. In 24-hour (military) time, midnight can also be 00:00. When I served many years ago, midnight was "zero hundred hours." The start of the new day.
If you are signing off something at the end of the day it is 2400, if you are starting the new day it is 0000,

Driving home right now after disembarking Vista.
Here is an FYI warning about magnetic hooks.
I took brand new HEAVY DUTY magnetic hooks for the first time.As I was opening the box, I noticed they were packaged as 2 hooks stuck back2back with a piece of thin foam between them. I slid that foam out and BOOM they clamped together again with the tip of my finger caught between. OUCH! It hurt and bled. Had to wear a bandaid for the first day of the cruise.
BE CAREFUL!
Ouch!

Make sure it is a big magnet. The ones I took were not strong enough to hold up even a shirt on a hanger without sliding down the wall. LOL

Let's say the ship does sail, do you really want to be on a ship without much of the dining room? I would be on the phone with Carnival looking to move to another ship. The early person has the best options.
Hey, for me just part of the adventure. If the ship was still sailing I would not move to another ship.

About the only time I drink Coke is a Rum & Coke. Rum & Pepsi really sounds awful, yuck!

Can you order more than one tail on formal night lobster dinner like you can with the other dishes? So say you get the flat iron and lobster tail, can you have them bring a few tails instead of one? I'm a a big guy and one little tail isn't going to cut it. I was really looking forward to this since we are doing a 7 night next and I really like seafood.
Ive seen people order six to start out.

Having spent my previous cruise days (pre Carnival) sailing windjammer ships in Maine, eating lobster fresh on a deserted isand-what is so great about a frozen lobster?
Stop in a Caribbean restaurant in what ever port, and order a fresh Caribbean lobster. All Tail, but fresh.
No doubt, a fresh caught lobster is no comparison to a frozen one.

Why would they cancel ship excursions?

You can order a lobster tail from the Steakhouse Selections ($20) in the main dining room. I do it on every cruise that doesn't have a Steakhouse restaurant and the tails are so much larger than the tiny ones you get on lobster night on the 6+ night cruises. Delicious and well worth the extra charge.
Oh, I do that too. They are a bit bigger and seem better than what you would get on Lobster night.
-
Oh well.... LOL
Thanks for the reply.

The 3 day cruises are a great weekend getaway. I do two or three a year because I only miss one day of work. I like to do a 7 day at the end of the year as a real vacation. If I didn’t live in Miami I wouldn’t do all the 3 day cruises, airfare would make not worth it.
the 3 day ones tend to have a lot more party people.
-
Do they have Lobster night on 5 day + cruises? I know they keep cutting back, hard to keep on the latest.

Sorry to hear about that. I’ve wanted to walk over to Grey Cliff but I just didn’t feel safe.
