That's RC dynamic pricing.
Yea I'm not buying it at that price! Its just crazy that all the advertised prices give a range from like $99-$129. So the "sale" is even higher than the normal range. If it drops down we may pick up two passes, if not there is a nice free pool and beach.
-
Thank you! We are going to be on the June 5 sailing. Right now the full day pass is high at $131. I dont understand at all how thats a "sale" price.
-
@peacefrogdog - Did you ever figure this out? We are doing the Indy July 2020 and looking for this pass if we can get a good rate. But probably not worth it if its really only a partial day!

We had a great process with Enchantment out of PC.
We arrived, dropped off people and luggage, parked and checked in around 10:15-10:45. We boarded right after 11. We had to wait until 11:30 for the WJ to open for lunch.
-
I will have to look through pictures but I forgot to take a shot of the menu most nights!
-
Our 3 and 6 year old loved Enchantment. The only thing was the Rock Wall and the Bungee Trampoline were both ages 6+. But they both loved the pool and the kids club.
-
Just an FYI, the added on meals (steak/lobster/etc) were 20% off all three nights in the MDR.

We just had a beautiful day there this weekend. Nothing booked except an umbrella when we got there. We really toyed with getting something nicer to rent but we were really happy without. We walked over to the cove area just before you get to the wave runners and the bungalows and south beach. It was great.

I will be back there in about 63 days. I think that last statement is pre-mature. They are about to create new things on the island, but as of last October, not much of what they are hyping has started. They have added a few things since your 1997 days, but most is yet to come
We asked this week and they said the only staff that live on the island are security and some management. We saw them still tendering the food to the island.

Hopefully we make it Sunday!
-
Thank you. We will certainly talk to our waiter on the first night. We recognize it can throw off the flow of the section but we will be a table to ourselves (no tablemates).
Yes, we are docked from Noon - Midnight and we have an excursion booked from 1-5 pm (only time available with our dock times). We hopefully can get back on the ship quickly!
I hope its quiet in the MDR but since our port is just Nassau I'm sure many may still come back on ship.If departure is not until Midnight, won’t half the ship be eating on the shore? . -
Curious, we leave on the Enchantment this week!

We went ahead and got the Summer Infant one from the Amazon Open Box Warehouse. So we paid $66. I feel like the $20 ones are a complete waste. They dont push well, dont have shade or storage and can't be comfortable for the kids. We are also traveling with our 2 year old and other 2 older kids.
I will probably try to sell to a consignment store or on FB Marketplace for $20-$30 and recoup some money.

Also if you opt for MTD for the entire cruise, you get exactly the same menu as traditional. We never make reservations for MTD, but you can. You also can have the same wait staff each night if you request it. Again, we don't care, so we just get seated wherever they have room when we go eat. So maybe that is an option for you. See if you TA can change you to MTD or go ask once you are on the ship.
Thanks. We are a party of 10 so waiting for MTD intimidated us and we wanted to do the kids Adventure Ocean pick up which I understand is only available for the early seating. At the time when we made this decision we didn't realize the formal night conflicted with the port day. I wish we were in Nassau early morning ;( I think we can hopefully make it from our charter back on time for formal dinner. The girls may not have time to do their hair but we can still get dressed up and enjoy a seated dinner.
-
Are you sure that is your formal night? While I'm not up on all of RCCL's itineraries, I find it odd that formal night would be on a day with a late port stop.
Yes, its a very short 3 night cruise and unfortunately our stop in Nassau that day is from noon - midnight. Our docs say formal night is night 2 and that is our Nassau day. Is there a better way to verify this?
-
Just slow down, have a nice evening in the Jammer with panoramic views of Nassau. Why rush and be anxious over getting to dinner by 6:09 OR ELSE.
We are not frequent cruisers due to life and budgets. We are trying to make the absolute most out of this vacation and missing out on our one and only formal night to eat at a buffet doesn't sound ideal.
-
Sure, 6:03 is fine.
Thank you. I understand etiquette and how its rude to be late to anything (arriving late to a show and walking past people to get to a seat). However, life also happens. I would just get frustrated if we miss out on dinner because its 6:05 and we walk away and then find out that at 6:30 they are still seating latecomers with no issue. I imagine like anything there is a small window of normal "lateness" that is considered not proper but understandable. I was trying to gauge what that window maybe was.
-
You need to look at other dining options if you can’t make your regular dining time and unfortunately you cannot use MTD for 1 evening.
Thank you. That is what I assumed, however our really bad TA has advised the other person in our group that this could be an option.
-
It's rude to other guests and your wait staff to arrive late to your traditional dining time.
I get that, and we wont be trying to arrive late. But if we dont make it right at 6:00, and its 6:03 surely that is ok?
-
You could eat in WindJammer that evening as an option
Yes thats definitely an option, but this is our only formal night on the cruise.
Also, does anyone know how late you can show up to early dining? Like what time do they stop seating? If we got there at like 6:15 would we be ok? We would understand that the servers would need to rush to catch us up with our meal which would be fine.
-
I think I know the answer, but just want confirmation. We booked out reservations with Traditional Early dining so that our kids can be taken to the Adventure Ocean mid way through dinner. However, we have an excursion in Nassau (dock) from 1-5pm and aren't sure how easily we will be able to get back on ship and cleaned up before formal night at 6pm.
Even though we are booked under Traditional Early, is there an option to try for My Time Dining for the one night?
-
I think that break even point may sound great for someone who has diamond benefits but without that, the breakeven point is a lot different.
-
I think the OP is doing the same cruise. He said he is leaving Friday.:)
Thanks thats me! ;)

We just booked a trip the week of fourth of july! It was just under $2k for 5 in an interior room for a five night cruise. ($80pp/pd including taxes/fees).
