  1. I did think of this, also (I hate clutter!). Might we just be able to slide all of them under the main bed? And thanks @BirdTravels for your input!
  2. Thanks for that tip @amygutman - I always use packing cubes on my cruises to stay organized, but these might be a better option for this cabin! Susan
  3. @amygutman, thanks so much - that was exactly information I was looking for!!!! It’s hard to see on the videos how much storage is in the room (even the Harr travel video kind of glosses over that), so hearing about it from someone who’s been in there is soooo helpful 👍🏻 The other couple with us is actually one of my other sons and his wife - who are both quite tall - so we’ll have to see who of us gets the short end of the stick! 😉 You have restored my faith in this cabin though, thanks!
  4. Thanks all for your comments, very helpful!!!
  5. Thank you so much, @Two Wheels Only for that pic! I’m guessing it’s a small full when the trundle is pulled out…..any comments on the comfortability of this bed? Any info on the living room sofa as a bed? Thanks again!!!
  6. Good morning, all! My husband and I are on the Escape in September and have booked the Haven 2 Bedroom Family Villa. Originally 1 single adult traveling with his teenage daughter were in the second bedroom, but they ended up canceling….we replaced them with another young couple. My question : What is the actual size of the foldout couch - twin, full or queen? There is a drop-down bed above. And if you’ve requested a mattress topper, how comfortable (or uncomfortable!) is that sofa bed? I’m also aware the living room sofa pulls out - what’s the sleeping size on that? Thanks so much!!
  7. Thanks for th Thanks for all your info!!!
  8. How was the bowling alley? And thanks for your info on the roller coaster simulator!
  9. Thank you @oceans.calling and @perakcruiser, appreciate your replies!!!
  10. Good morning all! I was looking to book a cruise for late spring/early summer 2024 departing either NY or Boston for Bermuda…..I came upon MSC’s Meraviglia, but the only week available in that time frame was April 28-May 4th, which I found odd. We did book in YC, but now I’m wondering if that’s a public school vacation week, which we try to avoid!! I looked for info on NYC public schools and it appears their spring break is the week before…..and being from New England, ours are a few weeks before. Could this be vacation week in Europe? Thanks everyone! (Not that we don’t love kids, have 5 of our own!)
  11. Thanks so much for that info, @amygutmanvery helpful! ((I was a birth doula/childbirth educator for many years - hence the name!) Susan
  12. Thank you both!! I do wish it was a regular bed, as @Sthrngarymentions the newer ships have - but hopefully it will work out just fine 😆
  13. We’re sailing on the Escape in the Haven two bedroom family villa…..just one adult will be using the second bedroom, and I’m wondering how comfortable/uncomfortable the fold out couch is in there. We did pre-order the egg crate pad, but will that be enough to get a decent night’s sleep? Thank you!
  14. Thanks, we will - on our way now!!!
  15. Unfortunately, it seems as if it hasn’t yet been contained - there are still cases onboard now, and we’re boarding tomorrow. Sure hope it’ll be eradicated by then!!!
  16. Thanks for the pics, Bigbenboys, and for the website info, Terrydtx & Dakahuna!! I appreciate your answers and will think on this….🤔
  17. Hello all! We are going on our first Crlebrity cruise, and have a veranda booked right now on the Summit. We would like to upgrade to a Retreat cabin….the only one available for our cruise is a Sky Suite Guarantee. I have never booked a guaranteed room, as I like to pick my own; in this case though, would any know if there are any bad rooms with the Sky Suites that would make me sorry I chose it? Thanks for your help!!
  18. We just came back on September 10th from our cruise to Bermuda on the Magic - it was supposed to be an overnighter, but Hurricane Earl was making its slow climb northward. We were hoping it would skirt Bermuda totally, but that didn’t happen…..the night before we arrived the captain announced that we’d be leaving at 6:00pm that next day. We did get one beautiful day on the island, but experienced rough seas (10/12 ft swells) and wind on our way out. We ended up heading toward South Carolina, and slowly made our way up the coast back to NY to make up for that last day in port. We were sad to have missed our second day in Bermuda, but grateful to be safe!!! I had packed meds for seasickness; fortunately, none of us needed it. But this whole past week I’ve felt like I’m rolling back & forth! Susan
  19. According to this schedule, it looks like the Magic is the only ship scheduled on Wednesday/Thursday, September 7/8…….hope that’s truly the case!!!
  20. Yikes, this does not sound good!!! We’ve been jumping through hoops to get to Bermuda, this is adding insult to injury!!! 😬
  21. Tendering in Bermuda routinely? I had heard they had to tender once when there were 3 ships there, but I assumed they would go back to docking when there was just one or two……..
  22. Thank you, Wemjam, hopefully this applies to Bermuda also (we just want to stay out ‘till around 9:30pm…….didn’t want to be locked out!)
  23. We’ll be docked overnight in Bermuda and I was just wondering if there’s a specific time you have to be back onboard that evening? Thanks, all!
