The staff goes the extra mile.
Quite agree. Olga (from Ukraine) and others were just wonderful (Nov 2017 Adriatic).

Thank you for sharing this. Have been wanting to sail on Pacific Princess. Looks like a lovely ship experience!
You’re welcome. She was awesome [emoji846]

Very nice videos.... thanks for posting .
Thank you, you’re very welcome.

..The only dinning room is set time dinnig.
With respect, your dining room comment is not accurate. Anyone with Club Class dining can go whenever they like in a normally three-hour window.
Cheers,

... was lucky to be on the 50th Anniversary cruise on her.
I am rather jealous that you got to be on this cruise!

What are your thoughts about Pacific Princess?
We just booked a 12 days Mediterranean cruise on the Pacific Princess and have never sailed on her or any other ships that small. Just wondered those who have sailed on her what do you think about the ship.
Thanks in advance.:D
She was utterly amazing! I think you will have a great time!

I think Pepperrn's comparison is right on the mark. We enjoyed our 25 days in Britannia Club (QM2) because of the dining flexibility, but I'm not sure if I would do it again. IMHO the space in the regular Britannia dining room is so much more dramatic, and you miss that in the low-ceiling Club rooms. As long as we can continue to afford it, I think the better upgrade is to Princess Gril because of the more spacious stateroom (very, very important to us), plus the access to the Concierge and Grills lounges, where we hang out a lot. And we get the anytime dining in Princess.
Hello TV24,
Do you happen to maintain a blog or have pictures of your experience in Princess grill that you would care to share ?
Cheers,
Bob

We had purchase the premium drink package, or whatever Princess call it. DW does really drink alcohol, so it was mostly a soda here and there. When she ordered an orange fanta we were told that was extra. We told them we have the drink package and was told that only applies to what they have available as a fountain drink. If it was in a can it was extra. We were told that since we bought the drink package online they wouldn't honor it. We bought and they accepted it so we have a contract that should have been honored.
Good morning. A thorough opinion, thank you for offering a diverse view.
That said-do you have a copy of your booking which indicates the advertisement for your drink package? It would be wrong to blame Princess for not honoring something unless it can be proven that they had done something wrong.
At the time you booked, what were the written promise from the cruise line of what your drink package included?

We are booked for Dec. 22, 2018. If they sell her, I hope they do it as a "move over". :D
Kevin,
She’s making the 2020 World Cruise. You are good.

My son just looked at the video today and said it looks like there is a swim against the current device in the pool? Apparently he has much better eyes then I do. Is this true? He is a swimmer and would love to workout.
There is a device, but it unknown whether that swimmer purchased it himself.
The guy was in there every day.
I hope you liked the 3 videos.

Thank you for the insight.
It is very much appreciated!

Future cruise deposits I’m thinking.
Hmm. Ok. I wonder why they could not be used instantly/what’s the “wait until“ date about?
-
And me still short on FCD's until 6/2
I do not understand the acronym FCD.

Following this thread as I am anxious to see the Americas spreadsheet. So things open on May 16th for Elite, correct?
Yes.
9am PDT on 5/17 for the rest of us lowly Platinums [emoji13]

On the Regal now and was told at the Captains Circle Party that these would be open for booking on May 16.

Found this from last year. Could be mid to late May before the December 2019 'Americas' dates I want are posted.
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (May 22, 2017) – Princess Cruises has announced its 2018-2019 Americas cruise itineraries including sailings to the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Mexico, Hawaii, the California Coast, and Alaska.
Thanks, John

Grand Princess
San Diego this morning

A little earlier than they originally said - just got the email that says:
Australia, New Zealand & South Pacific 2019-2020 – 4/17, 4 p.m. PDT
World Cruise 2020 – 4/24, 9 a.m. PDT
Appreciate it!

No it would appear that only Australia/New Zealand are going on sale April 19 for 19/20 sailing dates. The Amerericas which is the Caribbean does not yet have a release date.
[emoji20] Bring me the Americas!

I'm not "angry" - merely "peeved". We want to visit both Kenai and Copper River and it's possible to do this year in a single Connoisseur Cruisetour this year (when it's not feasible for us to do) but not next year when we could go. I'm sure they must have some reason for not offering the trip next year but it is unfortunate for us. Perhaps we will go and just do Kenai or perhaps wait until 2020 and see if the cruisetour is restored.
Ok, thank you.

Currently being peeved with Princess. I looked at Connoisseur cruise tours to Alaska and this year tour SB8 goes to Denali Lodge, Kenai Lodge, and Copper River Lodge. Next year the same tour -SB8 - goes to Denali Lodge, McKinley Lodge, and Kenai Lodge. Poop!!! We want the one that's like this year that hits both Kenai and Copper River but it seems there are none being offered next year. What the heck? Kenai and Copper River are lodges we have yet to stay at - although we did visit Copper River Lodge last year when we were on a 7 week camping trip. It was a rainy day and we took a trip to the lodge, had Irish Coffee, had lunch, then had a second Irish Coffee while sitting near the fire in the main room and reading for a couple of hours. Wonderful interlude on our trip but we really want to actually stay there. It's looking like we may have to do it in 2 different trips which, of course, adds a fair amount of cost and time that could be used for another cruise - not to mention that the cruisetour only counts for the 7 actual sea days as opposed to the 8 days on land plus the 7 days at sea.
We will never be able to cruise in a suite such as is shown in the video but did enjoy watching. Holy Cow! Thanks for the video.
You’re very welcome. I don’t know if it will have been a one off for us, as our budget is typically balcony or mini suite. This was a big blowout celebratory trip.
On the other note, I do not understand why you’re angry at Princess; I may have misunderstood your paragraph, it seems to me they have simply switched one of their tours?
Cheers,
Bob

The 3 for Free is my favorite promo. I'm on the Princess site nearly everyday to compare cruise and flight changes. My flight fron San Diego to LA doesn't change much. Right now my Hawaii cruise is more than $200 more than I paid for with the current promo. I got the $300 OBC and I come out better than the free gratuities current promo. But when 3/Free comes out, I'll ckeck that out and compare all the final figures.
Lynn
A flight to LAX?? With respect.. [emoji4], the check in to SAN, the wait, that 21-min segment, the baggage claim and the drive on I405 to lovely romantic San Pedro is worth it? [emoji848]
UBER would be appx $155, and far far quicker with personalized door-to-door! Time has a value!

Thank you. You guys are going to have an awesome time. It was my first time on a small ship, and any chance to go back I will jump at.
Enjoy!
