Glad I watched the video instead of paying for the experience. Just not my thing.

I DO miss the Bistro on 5 - the first time it was amazing and a year later it was meh. Was gone right after that. I don't eat sushi so, loss for me.

It burns me when I get to the pool and rows upon rows are saved and empty for hours. What is the policy on this for each cruise line?

What is proper etiquette (besides not saving chairs for people that are MIA)? Do you contact the pool guy or does he just pass out towels?

I've seen only one fight - two women fighting over a deck chair. It seems one was a chair hog who left a flip flop or something similar to save the chair, and the other woman moved the flip flop and took the chair. The chair hog was not happy. Security put an end to the fight rather quickly.

Who won??? I hate those people that save seats for hours and never use them. grrrrr...

What do you do to get thrown off an entire cruise line? Like how RUDE can you be to the staff? Unfathomable to me. Some people suck.

I met an interesting couple. I had moved from Baltimore to Florida and took a 3 night cruise. I had left my husband 3 months before and the divorce was very, very ugly. I requested a large table and was surprised to be booked at a table for 4 (back in 2010 when small tables weren't that common).

The other couple was also from Baltimore (wow, coincidental right?) he was retired CIA. I thought about changing tables cause it just seemed too weird. We saw them once or twice besides dinner and we only shared small talk.

Fast forward to divorce day, I find out that the guy was a PI hired by my ex to spy on me and my male friend!!! The Ex brought it up and the judge was like "What she did after she left you is irrelevant, plus you have a signed agreement in a no fault state".

I bet that was a pretty boring report. "Suspect had shrimp and double dessert. Doesn't speak about personal life". Had I known I would've bragged about hitting the lotto for $200 million (fake).

So I guess if you won the bid to upgrade to a suite, they would prioritize your luggage with the tag given to you by the baggage porter? I've seen them putting tags on bags before, just never put any thought into it before now.

So if you are upgraded 3 days before, are you able to print your luggage tags for the new room?

Do you have to pay for the food at gastropub if you have the premium drink package? I've never visited this bar on my sailings but am now curious. And I seem to remember getting free coffee/tea and pastries at Bacco (whatever it's called).

When do they let you know if it's accepted? I'm 22 days out. It seems that anyone that placed the minimum bid was told right away NO. The suspense! This is why I don't gamble. Sheesh.

I just received my Move Up offer for the June 16th sailing. I'm already in aqua class so my offers started at $500 for a sky suite.

I was under the impression you couldn't book a cruise less than 14 days out after 9/11.

From a little different perspective, I don't think I would like being on a cruise with a bunch of just graduated high schoolers.

RIGHT?!! I'm thinking it would be renamed "The Puke Cruise". I always Google my ship name and date to see if there is any big group going on there (not that it always works).

I was on the Silhouette one year and the crew told us the following week was going to be full of nudists. I looked it up, it was true. BUT, you couldn't book that thru the cruise line or TA, had to be booked thru the group. I would be swimming off of that ship. Yuck.

then proceed to the bar at which there is no longer a line as everyone is now looking for the . . . .

OMG, I am dying!!! Classic.

Wow. Some of you are really jaded. I KNOW cash is king (DUH) and I would NEVER tip in M&Ms instead of cash.

People offer me treats at work and I thank them for thinking of me, whether I eat the items or not. I see it as a way of saying, "I see you as a person, not an employee".

I agree that keychains, pens, magnets, etc are unnecessary items to be trashed like a wedding favor the second you get home.

I'm stealing this from a very old thread (back to 2005) since it was very outdated.

One cruiser mentioned they like to give small gifts for their cabin steward, waiter, etc. (In addition to the standard tips). I thought this was a great idea so I am mentioning a few that I saw on that old thread.

One mentioned they really need/use are international calling cards to call home, but since they all have cell phones this is outdated. The updated version would be Visa/Amex gift cards.

Tide pods are great because they do their own laundry. Another old idea was mini hershey bars, kisses, suckers, etc.

Today at work someone was selling candy bars for their kid's fundraiser. So for $1 I can give one to my cabin steward, waiter, etc while supporting their kid. It's like double dipping into the nice gesture pool.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Nope, never been directed or invited for C class lunch. Ever. I'm sailing Aqua class in June, I guess that doesn't count.

I have sailed Concierge on Celebrity over 5 times and I've yet to be invited to any special lunch. WTH? I always arrive before 1pm.
