We have done the 2 BR ATS 4 times.  It was always just the 2 of us.  Lots of room for 2 people !! The second BR just got used as our luggage room.

Are you in an A1 or A2 ?  There's quite a bit of difference in the square footage of the different suites.

Don't forget to enjoy your suite.  Sometimes you get so busy doing things that you forget to just relax and have a nice meal out on your balcony.  When you do decide to eat in your suite, be sure that you ask for EVERYTHING that you want.  Things like butter and jelly (if you're having breakfast) are often forgotten if you don't ask specifically for it.  We do breakfast the most often b/c it's still coolish outside and b/c we can take our time getting up (we're not particularly early risers).

I always caution first time SC pax to hold onto your luggage until AFTER you have checked in with the SC greeter.  You will have lots of people wanting to take your luggage and there are even porters who ARE SC porters who will try and take it before you get to the check-in.  DON'T do it.  I even insist on keeping my luggage with me all the way through security and boarding but that's just me.  We had too many instances of our luggage being delayed at boarding so we now just insist on keeping it with us.  Once you check in with the greeter, he/she will direct you regarding your luggage. If you decide to hold onto your luggage all the way through boarding be sure that you let your Genie know ahead of time that you want to do that.  The Genie will arrange for a porter to be there to take your luggage onboard with you. At Miami you won't have any problems.  The Genie comes to the suites' waiting area to get you and the walk onboard is very short.  Best terminal for SC onboarding, IMO.

As John said, the food coma is real.  Just be prepared !  Enjoy your seafood tower from Chops.  It is a right of passage for all SC pax.  You get it b/c you can.  It's enormous.

This will be the fastest 7 days you will ever spend.  It goes by soooo fast.

Thank you for all the great information!

I’m in 10334, it’s A2 on the deck plan I looked at. I’m assuming A1 on the 8th deck is the one with more space?

Great idea with the luggage, I wouldn’t want to have my luggage lost either.

The food is what drives me, I always get the dining package on previous cruises. I will really enjoy truly unlimited dining this time around. I will make sure I get the seafood tower.

    The ship is yours.

    Some of my favorites:

We had starbucks delivered in the morning.

We had Vintages appetizers one day with Cava

We had Tiramisu martinis ( a bartender specialty  drink) delivered by the pitcher for a get together  to watch the dive show

Our genie reserved seats on the Rising Tide bar one evening for the party.

Front row seats for the Micheal Bolten show on the President's Cruise.

The  genies really try to make everything possible.

Never heard of tiramisu martinis but I love the dessert so I’m going to try the drink! I’m excited to see the dive show.

We have had the two bedroom AQ suite on Oasis and have it reserved on Allure in August. Many tips will follow, I’m sure. Here are a few from our experience ( we sailed with 8 ).

Utilize your genie to make all dining and show reservations and don’t be afraid to change them if you need to.

We used the free laundry A LOT. It was very helpful.

We had milkshakes and popcorn delivered every night at 8. Kids loved it.

If are having a celebration during your sailing let your genie know.

Make sure they know your beverage likes and dislikes so they can keep the stateroom stocked! Again very convenient to have whatever you want in your room all the time.

Enjoy the amenities/views of the AQ suite. It is a unique cabin.

Maybe the best part is the escort onto the ship and off the ship. We did not have to leave our luggage out in the hall the night before debarkation. They came and got it and us in the morning and walked us off. Fabulous!!

    Enjoy!!!!!

That sounds like a very nice vacation! Thank you for the recommendations. We love the Johnny Rocket milkshakes so we might put those into the schedule.

  4. Good Afternoon everyone

I just booked Star Class on Symphony. This is my first time in Star Class and I know there’s a wealth of knowledge on here. Are there any tips on things I should utilize? I’m open to literally any and all tips, hints, advice, do and don’ts!

Eastern Caribbean Itinerary: Perfect Day CocoCay, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten.

    Ship: Symphony of the Seas

    Room: 2 Bedroom Aqua Theater

  5. I’m not sure this topic will ever resolve itself cordially. One half dozen to the other believes in whatever makes you feel comfortable and the other half believes in the dress code.
I personally enjoy wearing shorts all day in the sun and then putting nicer clothes on for dinner, a show, and then the piano bar. Others are more comfortable in full relaxation mode attire.

I’m sure we can all agree that people should do whatever they are comfortable with and makes their vacation worth the money they spent.

Star Class is just not Sky Class with the Ultimate Dining Package and Deluxe Drink Package.

For me, it would essentially be the same. I understand Star class offers more perks like the Ben & Jerrys and Starbucks as well as the genie. But for me, I have a cappuccino with breakfast and all the milkshakes I could want with JR.

As for getting off the ship, from leaving the suite lounge to waiting for an Uber, was 15-20 minutes in sky class.

But I do agree with you that different perks are more valuable to different people. For me, a sky class suite is too much space for me, I can even imagine what I would do with the space in a star class.

  7. @BNBR I have never sailed Star class but from what I know and saw about Star class, I agree. I sailed in sky class and I couldn’t see what perks justified an extra $6000. But that’s just my opinion, I completely understand each person determines something’s ‘worth’ differently.

But I do what you do, I book a Sky class suite and then buy the UDP and DBP and I feel like that’s perfect for me!

    Hi,

I realise that this thread is a little old so not sure if anyone will reply 😅 however I would be really grateful if you could expand on this? We are very new to cruising and would love to have more information about other companies that offer similar service to RC star class at a cheaper price. We have only cruised with P&O and Royal Caribbean. If you don't mind, please can you tell me the names of the companies you would recommend and the class that is similar to RC's star class?

Norwegian offers a very exclusive suite class called The Haven. It comes with a butler and a secluded pool just for Haven guests.

  9. @BobNoxious the menu I provided came from the bar on the boardwalk. It is also the same menu that is at the bar in Central Park, On Air, all the pool bars, basically every bar except for restaurants. Bolleros, Bow & Stern, and Champagne Bar has different menus...any other specialty bars will have a different one too.

Thanks Capt Snoopy -- nice to see the wine lists -- several "acceptable" or even favorites there. What is the upper limit of the Deluxe Beverage Package, per glass? (Anyone can answer, not just the Capt.)

Oasis Class is $13 and other classes are $12. I ordered wine with lunch and dinner, all sorts of reds and whites and I never went over the price limit per drink. There are options that are more expensive but the server or bartender always poured one that were covered.
