Just booked! Chance to try Oceania at a much lower rate. Probably get spoiled, or more probably my wife will.

Well I am looking to run a PowerPoint, potentially embedding some spreadsheets or providing a printout of a spreadsheet. Presentation is just for fun

Yup, we are looking to do our own air and go with the entry level balcony cabins or oceanview. Trying to present team with about 15k/couple as end pricing. PG pushes the limit, even without air on most sailings of 10 days.
I'm building a PowerPoint to show comparable sailings for O, Regent, PG, and..sorry, Princess as budget backup.

Thank you all for the great input!

This is great input. We love good food and wonderful locations. Knowing about kitschy presentations is very helpful; we would much prefer a quality enrichment presentation and respect shown to the culture visited culture. Great insights.

I've got a a thread going on Regent and I'm looking at getting a group of friends on a polynesian cruise. Since it is such a wonderful location and I have a touch of the polynesian flu, since I was there 22 years ago, I'm nudging the group towards a memorable trip on an upscale line. The response on the thread has been a huge reccomend for Paul Gauguin lines.
The Regatta cruise and o-life package seems appealing though, about 6400pp for air and a balcony at the time we are thinking of. We're moderately active 40-50 year olds of middle class means. Would Oceania fans recommend Paul gauguin for us, or would Oceania come more highly recommended from Oceania followers?

Less children would improve my wife's calm. 🙂 our three couples often do different things during the day and do dinner together so PG might be great. We may need to save some more pennies for PG

Thank you! I will check it out. I want to do well by my friends as this is a big financial stretch for us.
-
That's a big draw, no further payouts once booked. We can swing the balcony (a must) but we may be a bit short of the Paul gauguin price range

Greetings. I'm working with a group of friends to plan for a 2021 South Pacific cruise. We've gone on HAL, but all other cruises have been on the big three of mass market lines. Trying to determine whether Navigator would be a good choice, as there have been some scathing reviews recently.
My wife and I may be leaning towards Oceania regatta but are having a hard time finding excursion prices for a full cost analysis for the team. Needless to say either line should be a huge step up and spoil us for mass market in the future.
Mid40s to 50s, fairly active. Would we like Regent? Would any recent travelers have positive input?

The countries that you talked about are definitely ones we would never want to visit. Too dangerous.
Glad that they do send you the booklet so that you can make plans before you get on the ship.
Great report.
Been there on business for Uncle Sam. You don't want to go. Trust me. Ethiopia is good, Kenya and Tanzania are great for the critters. Your life will be better not going to Djibouti Somalia or Eritrea

We're on this one and since we are local, love the idea of not flying. Looks restful
