  1. Not a problem... I bring rooibus tea with me and I have never had an issue getting water to steep it.

An additional tip: If you ask for hot water in the International Cafe, they will give you a complete set up for tea: a pot of hot water, a cup, a spoon, a pot of cream, and various sweeteners.

It is lovely to enjoy a cup of tea and people watch in the Atrium!

    Ooh that sounds perfect

  2. When we did our family cruise 12 yrs ago on Sapphire Princess we opted for the early traditional dining. That way the 18 of us were able to plan our days however we liked but we all met for dinner every night to share our days. We also often went to the theatre after. They seated us in an elevated part of the MDR at three round tables. It worked well

  3. Ah HA, so I'm not the only one :D , at this point, we are Platinum, so getting on "early" we head straight to the buffet, grab a table, and have a leisurely lunch, by the time we are done, here comes the crowd...as they come in, out we go...

Have you ever seen the "reunion" groups with the same t-shirts, or Mr. I am Elite and they will kiss my ( ) while I'm on this cruise...

One time we were entering the terminal and we were behind the Mr. Elite making a fool of himself, bragging to his "group" saying he can get anything he wants, any way he wants,, lets say we never saw him for the rest of the cruise.

    Aren't you lucky?

  4. So long as there books, I can find something to read. I thought I read something about pax "borrowing" books and not returning them and the library was somewhat depleted of reading material. Glad to hear there will be some to read. I will bring my Kindle also, but I enjoy having to read books I likely wouldn't have found on my own in a library filled by international passengers.

  5. Just wondering if we want to use our credit card in Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam to make a purchase if you think the stores will take Mastercard/Visa? I know we should take a bit of foreign currency with us for market shopping, but I don't want to buy too much and have a lot leftover. So if I see something in a store that I just must have, then they should have no problem accepting my credit card, correct?

I've been to Hong Kong and found this to be true so it should be true for the other countries as well I hope?

  6. Every time these get discussed here on CC, someone makes a comment like yours. One lady actually became outraged that people used over the door shoe racks because SHE had never needed one. Live and let live, I say. We’ve cruised for up to five months at a time in inside cabins, and an over the door shoe rack saves us. Heck, I use one at home now too, not so much because I need additional storage, but I like keeping toothbrush, dental floss, makeup, manicure tools, contacts lens stuff, hair gels, etc. in clear pockets, hidden behind the bathroom door, rather than in drawers or sitting out.

I like your attitude! Not everyone uses the same amount of products on personal care. Why should anyone else care what I am using in my own bathroom anyway?

  7. I read that it is easier to grab a taxi to the airport to pickup our rental cars than try to get anything closer to the ports and that the 'free' pickup offered by some companies is not worth it.

Any opinions on this.? Bear in mind we will be in Honolulu on Sunday Nov 11 and Kauai on Monday Nov 12 which is a holiday weekend so ...?
