Just so everyone knows, there is nothing wrong at all with drinking the water on board a cruise ship. It’s totally safe. Just like drinking from the tap at home. Actually my dentist told me that drinking tap water is good for your teeth because it has fluoride. Unless you live in Flint, Mich. tap water at your home and on ship is fine. Save some money

I was on the Mariner in July and they also were taking all power cords.

I don’t mind large new ships but I do mind the fact the pack too many people on board. 5200 people in a 180,000 tons vessel. No thanks

I just went to Royal Caribbean site and put in Liberty of the Seas for 2/24/19 and it is letting me book without problem. Just says suites are sold out. Perhaps there is something wrong with the site you are using.

Are you sure you really want to do this?
That is a very long time to be on a cruise, especially for kids.
What will you do the whole time?
I love cruises, but I would never consider anything that long.
I’d love to be on a ship that long. I can’t wait to do it one day.

Is it possible you are trying to book so far in advance the the sailings aren’t posted yet?

Thanks for your response

We are thinking about booking Norwegian Bliss for Alaska next summer, and we would be bring two very active teenage boys.
Does the Bliss have a Sport Court or Basketball court anywhere?
Can’t find it on the deck plans so I thought I’d ask to be sure.
Thanks

I thought once once you reach Pinnacle you could eat in Coastal Kitchen no matter what cabin you are in. So what if you are not even in a Junior Suite?

Coffee and croissants NOT delivered at 7:00 a.m.
Bed sloppily made.
NO fresh towels.
Waste basket not emptied.
Geez, just because we left Anthem on Saturday, is that any reason that the pampering should stop?;p
Reality is hard.
This is funny. I thought at first it was going to be a post slamming Royal for something and instead it made me laugh!

There's always promethazine aka phenergan. Although it's more appropriate for an acute episode than as a preventative.
Promethazine is a good mediation but it would require a prescription. And yes it’s not for prevention, it’s for acute nausea and vomiting. And it does make you very drowsy. But if you are really sick you usually and thankful and just sleep it off.

I’m on Mariner of the Seas right now. Purchased the Surf and Stream Package and cannot even get more then a 3000 to 4000 ping and a download speed of around 0.5 to sometimes 0.7
Very disappointed. I’m not really expected YouTube or Netflix but with that slow speed some of my apps just won’t load up and give me communication errors

I chuckled a bit reading this. Sorry. Anyone who has been to Nassau would know. Can you get a taxi? Oh yes, in fact, you'll be offered a taxi by no less than 85 taxi drivers as you walk out of the port.
Safe? Yes, safe enough. Would I take a young child on a Bahamas taxi without a proper restraint? No. You also have an inexpensive water taxi from the port to paradise Island that I'd do with young kids.
Bahamian currency is pegged 1 to 1 with the usd and is completely interchangeable. You will see locals paying for things with both usd and Bahamian dollars at the same time. For you, it's just like being in the US.
You are right we have never been to Nassau before.
Thank you for your response. Appreciate it.

What about Taxis? Are they taxis that take you from the ship/terminal to Comfort Suites? Are they safe? And do they take US money?
Thanks

I can tell you they will turn away people for dinner wearing flip flops even with socks in my experience. Not sure if the shorts rule is enforced.

I enjoy it when they come by and talk for a bit. To each their own I guess. I enjoy meeting all kinds of people. That’s the fun part of a cruise.

I will be going on a cruise starting July 2 on Mariner. I’ve heard everybody goes to the Windjammer right away for lunch and that it can get packed. Anybody know if other dining venues are open for lunch on the first day to avoid some of the lines? Haven’t sailed on Royal Caribbean for almost 5 years so not sure.
Thanks

Hold the phone. For real? I love Indian food! This would make my trip!
(I had guessed it would be mostly salad and pasta)
Yes! I swear[emoji14]! Ask you waiter the first night. They have an Indian vegetarian menu!

Not dinking alcohol is the biggest thing for me to not gain weight.
I don’t even drink anymore and it saves me so much money and calories.
Use the stairs everywhere instead of taking the elevators! Makes a big difference to walk a lot

My wife is a vegetarian and we are sailing on the Mariner on July 2.
I did a search for sample menus in the MDR and I don’t remember where I found them but they had two vegetarian options under appetizers and one under entrees every night.
I remember several pasta dishes under the entrees. And I remember salads and vegetables under the appetizers.
Also on previous cruises I remember they always have a Indian vegetarian menu available and my wife has eaten off this before.

Well I can say for sure that if I had the money, I would certainly cruise Crystal. But if that kind of money I’d probably have a Lexus over my Toyota Avalon. There is a huge price difference. I’m not sure how you can even compare the two lines

Empress--Onboard water situation
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
Sorry I didnt see about the comment about Empress water being especially bad. Never mind
