Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We have done this excursion twice, most recently last week, lol. It really seems to be one of the best excursions Carnival offers. There are options to skip a couple of the activities and walk around, I would imagine rappelling would be one you could skip.....however, it really is easy, the guides are actually controlling how quickly you go down, and you dont have to do much. It's definitely an active excursion. I'm 46 and not in the greatest shape and had a recent foot injury, but all the guides were super helpful and got me through everything with no issues. I would just go for it and enjoy!!!
  2. What time did you dock in Long Beach/ what time were you off the ship after disembarking? Our flights just got changed by the airlines and now it's 12:30 at LAX, just wondering how tight it will be. Thanks!
  3. Go back in and choose have been exposed, then it's covered. The way I see it if you e been out of your house in the last two weeks youve been exposed.
  4. Thanks so much for this response, that's exactly the info I needed!!! Appreciate you!
  5. I'm assuming yes, but is there a designated dropoff and more importantly pick up point for rideshare services similar to what you would find at an airport? Uber/Lyft seem like the best option for us, but the cruise line shuttle is also about the same price. I just don't want to be wandering at trying to find a car with luggage and if it's a hassle would rather do the shuttle.
  6. I'm not positive how that would work out. They cover your unanticipated expenses due to the trip interruption up to 150% of the original value of all the costs of your trip that you insured. I'm not sure how the reimbursement from the cruise line would factor in. They won't for example cover air fare if you take a future credit....but that wouldn't impact them paying for a new flight if you decided to just fly home on different flights due to an interruption. I hope this makes sense. Also the more I think about this original post, I'm pretty sure everyone cruising out of Florida is required to have travel insurance right now, right? So I'm not sure why the OP would be upset.
  7. It is unreasonable. That's literally what travel insurance is for. Trip interruption protection would cover you up to 150% of your cruise cost to pay for a hotel.
  8. Travel insurance will cover trip interruption. So if you fly to Orlando then your cruise is cancelled for whatever reason (illness, fire, natural disasters, etc) you generally get up to 150% of the cost of the cruise covered to pay for a hotel, rental cars and so on. We used this once when I got very sick during travel to the port. Travel insurance paid for us to stay at a resort for 7 days and a rental car. We went to the beach and Universal instead.
