Ta for the gen. I have now updated my map.
Do you know how long it took journey time wise? Also how much each way? And do you know if the buses were accessible to wheelchair users. Ta!
About 20 minutes average trip from what I heard. We were off early and in the centre before any traffic had built up and only took 10 minutes. There was a partial road closure for a building demolition that was causing delays for the later buses going into Hamburg, won't be an issue in the future.
Cost was £4 each, each way with a maximum of £8 for the day each if you wanted multiple trips.
Not sure about accessible buses, we were on standard passenger coaches.
On an Azura Tenerife to Malta transfer in March, will be making use of any shuttles so expect some more to follow.

Just back from a sneaky little cruise. On Ventura visit to Hamburg. We docked at Hamburg Cruise Centre Altona and the shuttle dropped us at Rathaus. Bus stopped as circled in red on the screengrab was the drop/pick up point. About 20 minute journey and roughly 20 minute intervals. There is another terminal the ships may stop at, will probably find out next year when we visit Hamburg on Iona, but I understand drops at same place at Rathaus. No updated info on Zeebrugge, too windy and didn't stop.

Thanks. Had a look at superior deluxe availability on that cruise. A handful available midships and mid forward, but no availability at all mid aft or aft, whuch is our preferred location.
That was the same when I searched, we liked the itinerary of this cruise, stopping at Bergen.

I just looked at B413, which is the one we are booked on, and seems to be plenty of balcony cabins available all over. And the superior deluxe cabins around us are still available.
Try a different browser or device?
add: And incidentally, would have been a better deal to have booked now than at launch.

It's beyond me why with four MDR’s one can’t be available for club dining for those who want it, but maybe club diners do not fit into the profile of the new customers that P & O crave.
Don't forget, Arvia has 2 MDR's. Opal on Iona is now The Olive Grove on Arvia, and Aqua has become the 6th Street Diner.
In my mind this was always going to have an impact on the MDR dining availability.

Bergen is one notable port that cannot be reached by the larger ships but Britannia can get there. It is not only size but the number of passengers the ports are able to accomodate that will prevent berthing at many ports.
Not impossible for the 'larger' ships to visit Bergen, Iona did visit Bergen this year as a one off due to storms in the North Sea. Needed to coordinate with the tides. You also commented on that particular thread.

Fortunately we have been to Madeira many times (as with Lisbon 🙄) but on the occasion in question it was too windy for Iona to berth.
We had that for Lanzarote, so diverted to Cadiz to arrive the evening before.

I know of a few passengers on Azura's April cruises have just received emails with additional OBC. For some doing B2B2B this is mounting up.

Calender 2023 from P and O just dropped through the letterbox
One day I will attain the lofty levels required to receive one. Even after the 7 cruise I have booked for 2023 and 2024, will only be half way!

On Ventura on 5th January, will let you know.

The runner is no longer being used, and I dont think there were any cushions on Iona in October, but there were on Britannia in June.
We just came back off Iona last week, we had small cushions on the bed. There was also two runners we could put on the bottom of the bed. One in with the life jackets and one on top of the desk area, with the luggage bed cover. Photo has the day cushions, but not runners.

Just tried on my laptop again and I'm getting logged in ok but now at the top of the page
When I click onto "Hello Kalos" to go into my account (the tab next to logout)..
I am also getting "Sorry, there's been a problem. The page you are looking for can't be found"
So me thinks the problems are at P&O's end .
I can still get in via the my booking page using booking reference though .
I believe that's what the OP was referring to, I just wanted to check my points had been added following our return last Saturday.

Just the same - Sorry, there's been a problem. The page you are looking for can't be found.

Sorry, missed the durations etc.
Madeira was about 8-10 minute journey and with Iona nearly full the shuttles seemed to be about 10 minutes between each. Seemed to fill and go very quickly, same on return.
Lisbon shuttle varied depending on traffic and time of day and where the bus driver U-turned, but about 15-20 minute journey with a 15 minute frequency during the day easing out to 20 minutes into the evening.
I am off to Hamburg and Zeebrugge in January, but only bargain saver fare. However, I will get what I can, as we will use the shuttle in Hamburg but not sure yet about Zeebrugge.

Iona quick question
in P&O Cruises ( UK )
Posted
As mentioned above it does. On embarkation day it will be well stocked, but leave it and it soon empties. Certainly was the case in November when we were on her. I suggested to a member of our party to grab a book whilst we were in there on embarkation day, but no, they would leave it till later in the cruise. They didn't get a book!
