The Concierge is also available as a nudger

We found the Grills Lounge Concierge to be most helpful in particular with replenishing bottles in our cabin. They simply filled out the slip and past it along to the butler on your behalf.

    The mind boggles!

    In a word, NO.

The mind boggles and the imagination runs wild...... 🙂

"Tailored bedding arrangements through our bed concierge, available in Q1-Q4 suite"

Anyone know what this refers to?

  3. On a recent QG trip on QE, we arrived to the dining room to be told we had been assigned a table of 8, much to our horror. We asked for a table for 2 and were immediately changed to a fabulous window table. We interacted with our neighbouring diners on most occasions. They were usually finishing up as we were leaving but it was a nice light chat each time we saw them. Depending on the time you like to dine, if you are at a larger group table who regularly dine at say 6pm you can always arrive later when they have finished their meal and have the table for 8 pretty much to yourself.

Alternatively as NE John said, as you can have course by course QG dining as room service in your cabin, anytime you don't feel particularly social.

Another good option is either the Verandah or Speciality Restaurant pop ups if you want to dine solo, both at a minimal extra cost.

you are from Australia so this offer probably won't apply to you.

Yes as usual the Aussies get the raw prawn......

Am looking for some USA friends to join us on a Transatlantic we are booked on to England so it would be applicable to them.

  5. Was higher than the drinks package limit on our recent QE cruise in March. Sad as I wanted to try it too and prior to sailing all info I could find said it was just under the limit for the small glass at $13.30 but when we boarded it was only 10 cents over at $13.60. Very stingy of Cunard. Be different if it was 3 or 4 dollars above the package limit but 10 cents is just mingy.

  6. We were in the owners suite on Azamara and hated it, from the cabin to the food, to the staff. One 5 day cruise in QG and we are already planning our next Cunard cruise. Our Q4 cabin was fine (comfortable but not mind blowing) and on par with Azamara but a little nicer for far less cost. The food & the staff was where we found the real difference with Cunard. Nothing was too much trouble and unlike Azamara we don't feel we were being fed the same lunch every single day. The food itself was even better than expected in QG and on par with quality restaurants. Azamara felt like expensive camp food in comparison.

  7. Hi all,

We are looking at our 2nd Cunard cruise in QG. We would like to take my widowed mother but find the 100% solo supplement hard to swallow. As we all want to dine together in QG, could we book all three of us in to one QG cabin and then book a second Britannia balcony cabin for my mother to sleep in? On initial quotes, this would be a cheaper option than two QG suites allowing for the single supplement.

    Thanks in advance.

  8. Just off QE two weeks ago......wifi was awful and nearly ruined our trip as my Husband had to do some minimal work whilst we were away and really struggled.

If you are using your mobile phone on a wifi package, when you go floor to floor it will disconnect your device and you have to continually log in.

    Hair pulling frustration.

We had three services and really only managed to get a stationary laptop in our QG penthouse suite to work consistently.

When we complained to the Pursers office (on several occasions both by phone and in person) we were treated like criminals somehow trying to wrought the system. All we wanted was what we had paid for.

If you NEED wifi to work whilst away you will struggle unless in port. If it just for fun or keeping in touch you will be fine.

  9. Need to Vent......

Tried to book floral arrangement during the recent Valentines sale.....told the arrangements were sold out. Only roses available which "amazingly" were not part of the sale. Tried again today, post sale, on the off chance and was told despite advertising them for Australian Cruises none of the arrangements are available. Why do I feel more and more that Cunard down under is "Cunard Lite" with reduced level of service and offerings. Not sure why Aussies are second class citizens to Cunard......we still pay in US$$$ but we get none of the USA or UK promo inclusions. Grrrrrrrrr!!! Vent over. 🙂

Deck 3 port side & also deck 10 starboard Fwd  ( outside the yacht club) including some additional areas towards aft on deck 10 starboard side

You will find the exact information in the daily onboard programme

Does anyone have a daily programme for QE? Trying to plan shortest route but struggling to get exact locations.

Does it matter? You can always top up with a blanket if the duvets [which as has been said are rather warm] if you get cold.

    1. Is not a warmth thing. Those thin duvets just feel cheap and nasty rather than a beautiful fluffy feather duvet. Would prefer not to have blankets but better than crappy duvet.
  13. Hi folks,

Are there duvets on the beds or sheets & blankets? If duvets are they feather or synthetic? Pillows.....feather or foam? All info gratefully appreciated. 🙂

I am disappointed. We have Black & White and Masquerade. I wanted Red & Gold and roaring twenties.😞

We aren't even getting a theme on our 5 day cruise. Just "Gala" which we too find disappointing based on our pre booking research that said it would be one of the 4 themes, not none of them. 😞

For any drink that exceeds the price limit, currently $13.50; you pay the listed value of the drink, plus 15% service charge, minus 20% discount. That is from experience, I have the bills.

Thanks for the confirmation. Very much a faux discount IMHO.
