Well now I'm thinking maybe Rashad will win (OMG I nodded off during his first dance!). I thought Rashad's second dance was very energetic and "busy". I loved David's second dance but I guess the judges were giving everybody 10s for their freestyles. That's not judging, that's gift-giving.
I liked Erin's dress last night, would love to see J & C's dresses full-length (c'mon Kerri :D) - didn't care for the top of J's dress but need to see the rest of it.
I'll have to cheat tonight and check the Internet at 7 p.m. PST to see who won.

Just heard that Normani is injured! I'm sure she'll be fine by Monday's finals, but what bad timing!
My prediction (which is easy this year): Normani first, Rashad second, David third. But who knows what will happen!
-
I actually liked the style of Erin's dress with the turtleneck/no shoulders/sparkly silver. J's was a hot mess, and I didn't see much of C's, but thanks to Kerri's picture, it was pretty.
Shocked at who was voted out. Wouldn't that be hilarious if David actually won? Normani and Rashad deserve to be in the top 3. David's personality and not-too-awful dancing got him into the finals - I do like him a lot, but not as a dancer.
Always interesting, this show!

I'd be tempted to say "race you!" but alas I have to work a few more years. Then.... the Blue Hole. ;)
LOL, but I am retiring a little early (62) and forcing my husband to retire young at 54. I had to Google "Blue Hole" and it came up with Belize - really? :o ;)
We're going to be in Sequim in a month for a 3-dayer. Any suggestions for lunch on June 11th?

My husband and I have been cruising for over 25 years and have been to a lot of ports. We are now seriously considering putting a stop to our cruising. Why? With so many mega-ships in port, the crowds of people can be overwhelming. Traveling independently on land in the US or abroad seems to allow more flexibility and crowd avoidance and can be just as cheap as a cruise. Does anyone else share this opinion?
OP, sometimes we just get cruised out, it happens. I cruised from 2004-2012 and it was amazing and satisfied my thirst to see paradise in the Caribbean. Been there, don't that. I no longer choose to cruise (or fly).
However, had I not met my husband on Cruise #3 and together we discovered the joy of RVing, I'd probably still be cruising, as it's an amazing way to travel as a single lady.
But we have a new way of life now and we love it. No reason you can't do the same. Before we bought the RV, we'd take one week trips to different U.S. cities to explore. Really fun.
By this time next year, we'll be retired and living in Sequim, WA and traveling the country in our RV for half the year. Can't wait!

Found time finally to post my thoughts.
I liked Erin's dress in that finally it wasn't too tight, wasn't too low cut, and wasn't too high necked. Color was ok.
I loved CAs dress and look with the one shoulder black dress. I didn't care for JA's dress top (looked so retro) until I saw Kerri's picture of the full length above. It looks better in the full length.
Poor Bonner, he tried so hard but he's so physically limited. Glad he's gone now. Love David but not as a dancer, lol.
I understand the criticism of Simone but I also understand her reasoning for not showing emotion - 14 years of gymnastics training where all you do is smile. No acting required. Now she has to act the part. I think she may come in 2nd, with Normani coming in first. We shall see!

I really don't mind the "illusion" look on a lot of styles right now, i.e. CA's dress top. Hers was rather minimal so you didn't get the illusion effect very well. But I like the color and texture.
Didn't care for Erin's look this week but it wasn't horrible.
I guess Nancy or Nick weren't going to win anyway so it doesn't matter when they leave; it's just too bad Nancy had to go now, since she's so much better than David Ross or Bonner. Oh well. It happens every year. It's just a good thing Bonner is spelled with two N's...I keep saying it the other way (:o).

I live in one of the "progressive" states so am surrounded by it whenever I'm outside. At first I had no idea what that skunk smell was, until somebody said "it's not a skunk, idiot, that's pot." You can't mistake it, that's fer sure!
-
Hi all. I didn't really mind Erin's dress; it was different. Can't remember C's dress but I'll check it out tonight when I watch the 2nd hour of the show. I also couldn't remember J's dress, then I remembered she wasn't even there last night. I'll re-watch the beginning of the show to find out where she is.
I'm very surprised at who went home, but then again, I'm not sure it was that fair for her to be competing. She's a professional dancer in real life after all.

Loved your review - thanks so much and so glad you had an amazing time!
Empress has a special place in my heart as that is where I met my husband 11 years ago - in fact exactly 11 years ago we were on the ship! We just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary 2 days ago - which was on the exact day we met in the disco the year before.

A driving vacation beats a cruising vacation any day in my book.
DON
Amend Don! But then again, we ONLY do driving vacations now in our 40' RV, lol. LOVE exploring this country! Starting in 2018, we'll be able to do it full-time due to retirement. Yippee!

I'm a black swim shorts with a long baggy tankini top kind of girl. You gals got me to thinking that I need a new suit so I looked on swimsuitsforall.com and ordered this swimdress that comes with a separate panty bottom (usually the swimdresses come with connecting bottom). Was thinking I may be able to wear the dress with my black swim shorts instead of with the matching panty bottom.

I didn't like Erin's dress - it could have been pretty in a different color and a lower neckline. I did like C and J's dresses, what I could see or remember of them.
I fell asleep while Nancy was dancing so will have to re-watch that and the rest of the dances tonight. I'm ok with who went home but would have preferred the housewife to go (Erika?). But then again, I barely saw anyone dance yet so will do that tonight.
Have a fab Easter!

I was only able to watch Heather dance (wow) because I was watching Gonzaga lose in the final basketball game (boo). FYI, Gonzaga is in Spokane, WA, on the other side of the state from Seattle. So had to root for them.
Anyway, I actually really liked Erin's black lacy jumpsuit, and I love C's red dress and her hair. Agree about J's bust darts.
I had to Google who went home and was SO happy! I don't care how well or not she dances, she's such a distraction. Boo hiss on her.

A short cocktail dress with low heeled sandals.
Nice slacks with a sparkly top and sandals.
You no longer need to wear a long gown for formal nights.
Good luck and enjoy! It's fun dressing up!

So Charo is really angry, especially at Bruno, for her low scores - she says it's not fair and she was tempted to quit the show.
Does she honestly think she's such a great dancer that she deserves better scores than what she's getting? She needs to get real and hush up.
And she said it wasn't fair that Chris was voted out because he tried so hard. I guess she doesn't understand the concept of the show.
-
Charo needs to go next, please please please! For the love of humanity, make her just go away!!!
I liked everybody's dresses. Loved Pita's and Sharna's.
Will watch the second hour tonight after work. Can't wait!
-
Oh no, an injury already! Luckily she's a great dancer so shouldn't hurt her chances.
RE eyebrows - that's why I wear bangs, lol. Don't have to bother with them!
Can't wait to see the first hour of the show tonight! I'll have to Google to see who goes home as I just cannot stay up until 10 p.m. on a work night!
-
If you haven't been to Virgin Gorde/The Baths at least once in your life, you must go. It's heaven on earth!
You should find more information under the Ports section of this forum.
You do not need to do an expensive ship excursion.

We'll be camping in Coram, Montana near Glacier National Park that night. Will we be able to see it in Big Sky Country? Sure hope so!
Nope, just Googled the Path and it won't be seen in Montana, dang it.
-
I Googled it - Julianne is 28 years old.
-
I watched the rest of the show last night. Loved Heather's yellow dress.
The worst were Chris from SNL and Mr. T.
I did see the "incident" with Sharna and Bonner - made me gasp. It totally looked like an accident and I think she stopped his hand before it actually touched anything (but I may be wrong).
On a different subject, I was watching The Voice last night, where Celine Dion is helping out on Gwen Stefani's team. Comparing those 2 ladies is very interesting. Did you know they are the same age? (Gwen is 47, Celine is 48) Gwen looks like she's in her 20's or 30's and poor Celine, who's had a very rough couple of years, looks like she's in her 60's or 70's. I really admire Celine for not getting plastic surgery and just growing old gracefully. And I really admire Gwen's plastic surgeon! That doctor is very talented!!
-
Yes Slidergirl - for sure J looks very "refreshed"! But that doesn't surprise me. She's still in her 20's right? I guess when you're in show biz, it's never too early to begin the "anti-aging" process. Kinda sad.
-
I've only watched the first hour so far but I loved Erin's dress, loved the tops of C's and J's dresses, loved Nancy's blue dress.
Bonner and Sharna may have a little somethin-somethin going on, eh? Wowzer!
A little of Charo goes a long way...that's all I'm saying.
Sharna said on Entertainment Tonight that there are a lot of great women competitors this year.

Thanks Kerri! I really like C's dress but I know what you mean about all that metal - looks very Romanesque. J's dress is a hot mess - it hides her figure under a boat-load of feathers! What?!
Hope tonight's dresses are an improvement...
