  1. Had a different experience. I always book myself on the website but recently had a few issues and I contacted the person who has been on the advertising emails as my pcc. She responded immediately and helped me and I asked her if she got commissions for booking and could I transfer my bookings to her. She said they did but it was too late to transfer my existing bookings. But she also said she'd be happy to help with anything I needed even though she didn't have the bookings. I will be going through her next time I book. Like everything else in customer service - it all depends on who you happen to get.
  2. Happy Anniversary and please try and not let this beginning ruin your trip. It sounds like you booked over the phone. The agent wrongfully checked the box that said you would be interested in upgrades. She should have offered you the choice to check no and you'd have kept your original cabin. HAL's version of what is a better cabin is not necessarily what we would think is a better cabin. We always check no. Not going to get the bags from another room is ridiculous and, hopefully, someone will address that. I hope that the hotel manager will be able to help you - maybe try ear plugs, white noise, or something. We have turned on the tv with low volume to the forward camera channel which at night is dark (because of a dark sky) and it has classical music playing. That has helped me go to sleep - you might try that. Try and look for the good in the cruise and you will find it - it will be the friendliness of the cabin steward, the beauty of the scenery, the excitement of pulling in to a new port. I know it's upsetting but it's early days still with several to go. You have the power to make it a good trip.
  3. But how long was your cruise? And what type of cabin did you get? That determines the amount of onboard credit you get. If you booked a verendah, 11-21 days, then that means you both got onboard credit.
  4. Just booked a cruise and asked for the welcome back credit from a cruise my husband and I did last month. She said she applied it. Now I'm looking at the invoice and it is applied just to me. The way I read the email with the language of "per person", it seemed like both my husband and I would receive onboard credit of $150 for a 28 day cruise ($300 total). What has been your experience when there are two of you?
  5. If you arrive right when the dining room opens, there is a line. Wait for 20 minutes and it's not bad. You can also make reservations - those with reservations go through one door and have their own line which isn't long either so it's up to you. You can call during the day to make a reservation, not sure if you can do it days before or not. We never had much of a wait but also said we would be ok with 4 or 6 person table. Those who wanted two-person table had to wait sometimes.
