Thankyou very much for replying .It is much appreciated The dining seems to have excellent reviews. We feel Marella have downgraded a bit with both food and drinks since we first sailed with them. We are still mulling things over, but don’t want to make an expensive mistake. A change is as good as a rest as they say 😉

Anyone had an experience of Azamara cruises? We have only sailed with Marella but are interested in trying another cruiseline.
Any advice good or bad much appreciated.

Thankyou for replying. Much appreciated 👍🏻

Anyone advise me on this? Should have said 6 cruises as 2 were back to back in the Caribbean. Would really appreciate some advice on comparisons with other lines compared to Marella. We do like the freestyle dining. Don’t think we would like to be tied down to certain times and tables, seems very restricted, and sometimes you get hungry earlier or later 😉

Bit of a Marella fan but they have priced themselves out for now(too many are just paying the higher rates)
lastyear NCL, Princess and MSC and even Fred Olsen got our business with better value, P&O prices are good but their product is not such a good fit for us.
One of those MSC cruises we got the Yacht club for less than £100pppd which some use as the low entry price for Marella cruises.
This year we are starting with MSC no fly.
To make our fly cruises work we aim for first flight of the day so overnight near the airport ( we overnight Southampton as well).
If things go well on ship for lunch both options.
With MSC the pricing needs two things looking at
Base fare for cabin and experience (they do things differently).
Then look at the cost of the drinks package it changed by cruise seen a wide range under £10pppd to over £40.
It's a good package with non alcoholic options so at the lower price end worth it.
Hi inside cabin,
Just read your post and am very interested in trying another cruise line.
We have had 4 cruises which have all been with Marella. We like the fact that everything is included, e.g. tips and drinks. We have noticed that the prices have really jumped up, so would like to try another line.
Could you please advise on what line it was £10 a day pp for a drinks package and waht was included? Also, which lines include tips? I have seen some that charge 20% per drink and also 15% -20% pp per day for tips. This really does bump up the price a lot. We would prefer a fly cruise.
Any advice you can give is much appreciated. Thankyou.

Lucky you. Unfortunately my hubby tested positive the day after we came home, and me 4 days later.

We leave on Friday and ours came theough this morning, so you should get yours tomorrow. 3 days before departure.

I hadn't booked cabin but just checked and our tags are ready to download for our 8th October cruise. I did see a couple of days ago our cabin had been allocated
Hi Dinglebert,
Can you tell me how you know your cabin has been allocated?
Have you been given the number? Thanks. -
The cabernet sauvignon and prosecco on the a.i. were lovely, without the upgrade.
-
Glad to hear you got it sorted. You can relax now 😃 Have fun!

Our luggage labels are ready to print 2 weeks before as said by Miller Cruiser. We have not prebooked our cabin. Hope you get it all sorted,as it is stressful when you cannot contact them. Have a great time!

Hope you feel better soon.

Hi all,
Just about to order covid tests. Marella says Chronomics or Randox for £13.50. I came across this Medicspot who says Tui customers get 5% off and also it costs £11.99. Not too sure about though, so would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

It is also 1st of October. Just got an email saying between 1st and 31st.

Hi Brummiejam,
Thanks for replying. We have had 2 jabs and a booster but are not sure whether to get a second booster or not. There seems to be a lot of bad publicity about them, though i know you can’t believe everything you read…and i don’t read too much of the bad stuff tbh.
We wondered if maybe it would stop at the emd of September, but i suppose Marella may not have reached a decision yet.
-
That is good news. Do you think they may stop the covid testing soon?
We haven’t been away for nearly 3 years, so still a bit wary.

We always take stretchy clothes lines and plastic pegs, and manage fine to dry undies, socks, vests and bikinis tying them to towel rails etc. Plus you have an extending line in the shower which helps too. I'm sure you wlll manage fine.

Thanks dronnygirl. Much appreciated 👍

Hi, can anyone tell me if the hairdryers in the cabin on Explorer are any good, or better to take our own? Thanks
-
Hi, it is £50 per person per week and if two in a cabin both have to upgrade.

Totally agree 👍

Oh dear! How awful for you 😵 So sorry to hear of your disappointment. Surely they should compensate you for the balcony being unfit for purpose. Really not fair and no excuse is good enough.
We were on this ship last December and really enjoyed it,so can only assume it has been left to go to pot.
Its awful when other people can spoil things for others by drinking to excess, but why do they keep serving them?
Really hope you manage to get your next cruise changed, but if not hopefully there will be vast improvements made before you go.

£1,000 cheaper! We may just have a look at that as well. Is there an option to buy a drinks package? Also are tips included? That can really bump it up, and i have read that some put 20% on each drink, which is quite horrendous. Thanks for any advice you can give. We don’t want to make an expensive mistake.
