Was there a pirate party? Were children allowed in the clubs?

No pirate parties. They had a super scaled down pirate night- mostly just the different menu in the dining rooms and characters in pirate garb. Children’s clubs were open, except for the nursery.

  2. I’m vaccinated and did not have to do any testing before or during the boarding process. I did submit my vaccination info beforehand. My party and I went through the walk-in tent area and were waved through once the staff verified they had our vaccination info. Didn’t even have to show our vaccination cards at that point.

  3. I was on the first two sailings. Unvaccinated kids were not separated from the others, but everyone had to wear masks. I'm not familier with the Rockledge area, but Walgreens/CVS are offering PCR tests.

***Make sure you are getting the PCR test!!!!*****

Folks getting the antigen test were denied boarding at the port. Many (most?) rapid tests are the antigen type, so make sure you're doing the correct PCR one.

  4. I spoke with the cruise director on the first sailing- he said there was about 1,600 booked for the first sailing. About 40% capacity as the ship normally can do about 4,000 guests. The second sailing had around 800-1,100 (I kept hearing different numbers, but definitely lower than the first sailing). The second sailing had so few guests that they shut down one of the main restaurants each evening.

  5. I just got off the first and second sailings of the Dream. They had characters out frequently- they were listed as something like "character waves". Guests could walk up to the characters and talk to them from 3ish feet away- but no hugging/touching and no autographs. People could take photos with their phones. Sometimes in the evenings Disney had a photographer out with the characters as well.

  6. Just so you know, every ship has a log in book for lost and found that are turned into GS. When a cruiser calls Royal because they lost something, Royal calls the ship, the ship looks in the book, if it's not there that's it.

I wonder if Royal also logs missing items. When I've done lost and found in the past, my company logged any calls from people looking for stuff- so if the item does turn up later, it's possible to get it back to the seeker.

  7. My opinion would be to return the items to Royal. I've worked lost and found for a hospitality company, and people looking for their items would call us. They weren't checking random internet message boards for their stuff.

But barring that, I would at least post room number and sailing date as it'll help stand out for anyone who lost the jewelry.
