  1. They aren't going to add a lounge because that's not how Celebrity does their loyalty program. They never did so they're not going to start now.
  2. Additionally Carnival isn't known for properly maintaining their ships.
  3. I think this is wishful thinking. It's not going to happen. In fact on the E-Class libraries are non-existent. In the past on E-Class they tried a book cart that looked like a hotdog stand and I think most recently they have literally a handful tucked away on a ledge in one of the sitting nooks in Eden along the ramps.
  4. Agree with that %. Probably higher on itineraries that leave the UK; Brits seem to enjoy dressing up for dinner.
  5. If you want to wear a suit that's fine, but it's totally unnecessary. If you wear slacks and a button Shirt you'll be totally fine and in the majority who don't wear any kind of tux, suit, or sports jacket.
  6. You would need to go to the casino cashier. I'm also assuming your offer required a $100pp deposit that's returned as OBC? If so that's automatically on your onboard account and can be used to offset ANY charges, including gratuities and if you charge back your room account for gambling money.
  7. I don't feel slighted in the least. Anthony here and my husband is Robert. Both native NY'ers now retired to Philadelphia for 17 years. Photo is another from our January cruise on Virgin's Valiant Lady. As I had indicated in an earlier post we'll be on the Apex in July for an Icelandic, Ireland, and Scotland cruise. Post cruise we were originally going to train to Paris for a few days before flying home but 2 months ago my sister announced she wanted to do a Greek Islands cruise with her family and wanted to see if we can make it a family outing. My mom and dad, 85 and 93 respectively, jumped at the chance to be away with the whole family ( Oh and to top it off mom & dad will be treating the whole family, all 9 of us!) So we changed our plans and will be off to Rome after the Apex for the Odyssey of the Seas 7 day Greek Islands cruise.
  8. There's a cable machine where you can do pullups/chin-ups, Look at video at the 10 second mark: Second video shows the Kettlebell sets at 49 sec mark:
  9. That's interesting they have different offerings between the two ships. I had thought they did away with that dish on both ships. Glad that wasn't the case. Funny story about something similar that happened to me on Celebrity. I know the menus by heart of one of the MDRs on Celebrity's E-Class ships. When I was on the Beyond last Fall, the third ship of that class, I was ordering one of the specialty desserts for that particular dining room. At least I thought I knew what the specialty dessert was. When I gave the order to the server she already had a puzzled look on her face. But she was new at her job and just wrote down what I had asked. I few minutes later she came back and asked again what I wanted for dessert, and I said the special Greek yogurt with Honey. A few minutes later the Matre D' came over to ask me to clarify what I wanted for dessert. Turns out that the dessert that I wanted, which is on the previous two other ships of this class, wasn't on the menu for the latest ship of this class. I apologized profusely and was genuinely embarrassed!
  10. I was on the Celebration in November and it wasn't on the menu at Cucina.
  11. That's how the fish is served in Chinese restaurants; Streamed whole Sea Bass with Ginger and scallion. It's a quintessential Cantonese dish. https://thewoksoflife.com/steamed-whole-fish/
  12. It wasn't hyperbole. My husband did indeed order the lasagna took one bite, and pushed the rest of it away. He ordered it one other time on our B3B and it was the same. I had issues with both versions of the frittata. It was dried out and tasteless. I knew how it should have been since I was on the MardiGras for a b2b a couple of months earlier and both versions of the frittata was fresh, fluffy and tasty. On the Pride something as simple as getting HOT oatmeal was a challenge. The toureens at the buffet used for soups and oatmeal never kept it properly hot. I'd go circling around the buffet trying out the couple of places where they served oatmeal wanting it to be hot instead of barely warm.

  14. We had a similar experience last summer on the Pride in Europe for 31 days. The MDR at times was barely edible (what was supposed to be lasagna looked like meat loaf with a layer of dried up cheese). The saving grace was the guys, deli, Pizza and steakhouse. The buffet was also mediocre.
  15. What do you have planned for Cork? That will be one of our port stops on July.
  16. Without taking this too far OT I offer you a full throated apology for my aggressive comments about your posts.
  17. Which is why when the question of how late can you stay on the ship on disembarkation day the best answer to give people is 9:00.
  18. The bar in the Apex works more like a service bar. The issue is twofold. First is the location. One side of the bar is along a corridor to the restrooms. Because of this there's no overhang bartop and consequently no seating whatsoever. So basically it's a standing only bar to watch the bartender make your drink. Which is why I say in this case, to me, it's more comfortable to sit anywhere in the Retreat and wait to be served my drink.
  19. You'll have to resort to the bathroom sink and/or while your in the shower. The nice thing about the Apex bathroom sinks they're pretty large so good for rinsing out stuff. The negative is not enough places to hang wet stuff to dry.
  20. Since the steakhouse boarders the atrium on Deck 10 the sounds travel all the way up from the atrium bar on Deck 2. It's the same thing on the Pride.
