  1. So do people who don’t have premium or plus still get dessert? Its just they don’t get a premiun dessert. Is regular dessert bad?
  2. Fo norwegian, for 7 day caribbean cruises there are 3 ships sailing the exact same itinerary just sailing from different departure ports. My concern is royal caribbean does something similar and reduces the number of ports. There must be something cheaper about sailing to less ports. It would be sad to see that happen in the caribbean for royal caribbean. Perhaps a bit off topic.
  3. I'm not sure. Only royal caribbean knows who are the most loyal customers, those who sail on small or large ships. Thanks for clarifying about celebrity. Someone who is more familiar with where royal caribbean sails can speak to what ports are lost if there is a shift to large ships only. Clearly some people don't care.
  4. To summarize it seems what some people think is royal caribbean doesn’t care about the customers on the small ships. Those people should go to celebrity even though its not clear celebrity is building small ships either. Even though what i think is that people will get sick of the large ships repetitive itineraries, people apparently think what the large ships offer is enough to keep people interested. Time will tell.
  5. I also don’t know if its been considered if this is what gen z and millenials want? I thought there’s a lot that don’t even have kids. Not sure what their view of these big ships is.
  6. Hi Firefly, have you looked at the single supplement cruise deals topic? It seems to have dropped down in the list so you’ll have to scroll down. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be many deals right now. Congrats on getting 25% off!
  7. I can't afford celebrity so its certainly not good for everyone. Even families will get tired of the big ships eventually. Less variety isn't a good thing for everyone. Sounds like royal caribbean will be the mcdonalds of the high seas
  8. Someone mentioned you want to hook people in with crown and anchor points. Well after kids are grown and you are retired or even before might you want a small ship and might royal caribbean want to capture the market as well.
  9. Thanks sambama, do you recommend booking from one of their cruise consultants?
  10. When i did a mock booking on holland america for an inside, it only gave me an option for a guarantee. Do you know if thats usually the only option for holland america? I do get the private fares as i’ve cruised with them once before but i remember being mad i was put in a guarantee ocean room before. It was horrible it was under the kitchen and i swore to myself never again.
  11. Thanks, the cost of the norwegian cruise i’m booked on would be 239US for cancel for any reason and thats too expensive.
  12. Sorry i just noticed their cancel for any reason insurance is very expensive so i don't need a response now. I am curious though so if you know please post
  13. Nope. I don't have a ta. My princess cruise planner had no idea princess insurance wasn't offered in bc and i expect norwegian agents to be equally ill ingformed. It seems too expensive for cancel for any reason anyways.
  14. Thanks. It looks like on mine it doesn’t list 25%. Is that common?
  15. Just heard norwegian has cancel for any reason and wonder if its available here.
  16. Thanks. I didn’t realize they had that. I’m from bc and we can’t use princess insurance so i’m wondering about norwegian. I’ll check on canada board.
  17. Just to add my dad has an unstable heart condition and it appears most cancellation insurance is for unforeseen medical emergencies. So it would appear princess would work best for me right now. (I’m canadian and i feel like americans have better insurance. I look forward to trying norwegian at a better time.
  18. Thanks, princess is 90 days and i thought royal caribbean as well. Its definitely a plus. I’ll need to look at terms of cancellation insurance closer if i cruise norwegian.
  19. Sorry i found the schedule. I don’t love the 120 days they have vs. 90 days for princess and royal caribbean. Just an observation.
  20. With other cruiselines there is a cancellation schedule with the booking email you receive. With norwegian i didn’t see one. Are you charged 100% at 120 days?
  21. I am going to ask a question in this thread as new to princess too. In looking at booking, it looks like you are only penalized (other than deposit) about 2 months out when you pay 50% Is that correct?
  22. Thanks for this detailed review. I'm used to small ships too so this may suit.
  23. I’m interested in potentially going on a canada new england cruise on norwegian jade. As it is a bucket list trip for me i’m interested to hear how the ship is. I’ve never cruised norwegian before.
  24. Bar harbour is still listed as a port for norwegian cruises in 2025. I thought cruise ships were no longer allowed to go to this pirt?
