  1. I was shocked how much more the fall pacific wine country sailings were compared to may 10th booking, particularly in Canadian. I’l definitely book!
  2. Thank you! It is seeming like the sept 25 cruise may be best. I've heard the weather can be cool in the spring in california too.
  3. Hi CruiserBruce. I have one final question hopefully. I'm still debating between spring and fall as in another thread you stated that in the fall it is generally less rough. However, the other cruise i'm looking at it sails oct 21 and you said its better early fall. So would it be rougher as that is later in october?
  4. Just wondering what port you'd choose if you have the choice and why.
  5. Thanks. Then i'm confused what the point is of these supposed room upgrades. I thought you were able to save money.
  6. Does anyone know for the cabin upgrades if you are able to go from mid aft inside to mid inside? I'm a bit confused how this upgrading works and my cruise consultant is awol.
  7. Thanks CruiserBruce. I guess i'll splurge on midship! Princess ships seems strange and you aren't on lower decks.
  8. I'm also wondering if its better to get an ocean view so i can see the ocean or if that matters.
  9. Thanks. I am just going to post my question here since related. After mid ship, aft is best for roughness right and lower floor is best? If a ship is bigger is it better for roughness or does it matter if ships were built for same year and have the same stabilizers. I'm thinking of caribbean princess which has 3000 passengers and sapphire princess which is smaller and has 2000.
  10. Thanks for sharing. I think i may go mid aft. I'm wondering if any of the 9-12 floors are preferable or if they are all the same?
  11. Thank you, i'm also interested in the sapphire may 10 25 sailing so i'll be interested in how port and sea days compare but i can wait until wednesday! I thought there was a requirement to stop in victoria but maybe somethings changed. Not a big deal as i'm from vancouver but don't want another sea day
  12. I'd be interested if the coral princess and caribbean princess (i believe, i wasn't sure if that was it) removed victoria as a port as its not listed for pacific wine country cruises. That would be a shame as extra sea day and i like victoria. (I don't have access until wednesday.)
  13. So i know back in 2022 santa barbara decided to allow cruise ships again after a ban. I couldn’t find anything saying they are contemplating another ban. Does anyone know anything? I am booking for 2025 and don’t want a cancelled port. I’d rather book catalina island if things are uncertain.
  14. Is there any updates to what is happening with santa barbara? I am looking for booking for 2025 and santa barbara is still listed as an option. However another cruise has catalina island and it seems its less likely to be cancelled. Any updates please post. All i could find was in 2022 they stopped the ban.
  15. Does anyone know the approximate answer to this?
  16. Thanks. I see where laundromat is now from deck plans posted from d97 and i'm interested in being more midship then that.
  17. Does anyone know the hours of the laundry rooms on the sapphire and where it is? I have a feeling the room i'm looking at is close to it.
  18. I actually feel we lshould boycott them to show we don't support that behaviour.
  19. This is too bad. I sailed for a good price on royal caribbean in summer 23. It almost seems discriminatory. Now i know to not look at those cruise lines. At least princess and holland aren't above 200% and ncl actively courts solo cruisers.
  20. What happens if the price drops before final payment? Would princess give you the drop? Would you get the obc if its offered? What about after final payment? Sorry i’m new to princess. People talk about the wave season jan and feb having deals too and i don’t know if thats true.
  21. I was looking at a pacific coastal cruise on celebrity (sep 12 25) and it was starting at 850cdn for couple and 2818 cdn for a solo. This is ridiculous! Has anyone seen this before? It has 2 days in san francisco so actually a good cruise.
