  1. Possibly, but if you read the message it indicates that you're now able to update that info on your own, and that in the future they will be moving to using your email address rather than your user name to log in to the site.
  2. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It's refreshing to read such a positive review, especially on one of the older and smaller ships!
  3. My go-to at Le Bistro is the French Onion soup, Steak tartare (ironic since I'll send back an under-cooked steak), Dover sole and Marquise au Chocolat (which got some interesting comments from the next table over when they got it as I was being seated). MDR has had some good shrimp & cheese grits (the grits got the seal of approval from a Georgia resident so they must have been good). I'm also a fan of the breaded flounder in the MDR.
  4. I was guilty of this on my last cruise. I sail solo, had met some other solo travelers on embarkation day. The second day was when the M&G was, I was walking around the ship with one of them when I saw the sign at the DBH - I had completely forgotten about it! When I got the chance I was sure to apologize to the organizer, they were understanding...
  5. Yeah, their acknowledgement of their error and attempt to correct was still wrong. I put the days higher up...
  6. There was one on my cruise in March. If someone from another social media site beat you to the punch they may be ignoring you even though CC is really where I think they'd prefer they be coordinated. Has someone from the roll call for your cruise not set one up already?
  7. Suites and tier levels get 130 and 125 day reservation availability, regular folks don't get those until 120 days...
  8. On the Escape, the port half of deck 19 forward and all of deck 20 is open sun deck. Shhh, don't tell anyone. It's generally going to be easier to find open chairs than on some other ships. These can be accessed on the port side from the deck 17 sundeck if you don't mind stairs, or there's one elevator in the forward elevator bank that will go to 19 (need to take stairs to the very top).
  9. The ship water is perfectly fine to drink, I just filled a bottle I brought as I needed...
  10. Actually, the incident boat was cruising East, toward Government Cut through the cruise ship channel. He then collided with the ferry that was moving South to North across the entrance to the cruise ship channel from Government Cut (which is the sea channel and entrance to the PoM).
  11. There were only 3 cruise ships, I watched them sail in on the camera.
  12. 🤷‍♂️ people come here to complain when a ship diverts and is delayed to keep them safe from a hurricane, figured there would be a few...
  13. NCL must have done a fine job of compensating or assisting those that were on board - we haven't heard a PEEP from anyone complaining about their missed flights or delayed arrival home.
  14. Correct, for the FAS it's on your card. Those with Platinum status get paper coupons in their 'welcome back' packet.
  15. In case anyone is curious, here's the video of the incident. You can see the private vessel sailing East in the channel as the ferry leaves the dock on the North side (left in this picture), another is heading to that dock from the South (right). https://youtu.be/PCRu7FIpz0M
  16. Check out the posts by @Sthrngary he has all kinds of tips on Haven cruising...
  17. The $25 NCL is giving is more than the other lines gave ($20)
  18. I'd be concerned if the ship was at the bottom of the turning basin... She's alongside at the terminal right now
  19. Someone on the BLC stream, that's waiting to board, said they were advised departure is 7. That's a FAST turn of the ship, I'm not sure how accurate it is!!!
  20. No, the accident was down by the entrance to the channel, by the ferry terminal.
  21. Watch the streams long enough and you'll see there's no "normal" for which side is against the quay. Sometimes port, sometimes starboard. In the interest of getting the turn-around under way I have a feeling none of them will turn around and will wait for departure to spin in the basin...
  22. I'm sure the cruise lines pay for certain priority, but it would make more sense to take the one that has to go farthest up the channel first, then the next one, then the next. They could have them sail in faster (not at a higher speed but closer together) that way as they could all be slipping up to the pier (I guess quay in this case) at the same time rather than having to wait for the first one to get close enough. NCL's berth is the first one of those 3 as they sail in (for now, while MSC builds theirs at the end of the island) so the others will be waiting on the Escape...
  23. fair point, haven't heard anything from the NCL passengers in Miami that I'm sure are frustrated with the delay. Unless NCL was proactive in alerting them so they never showed up in the first place...
  24. $20 for lunch, in Miami? I guess they're getting food from vendor carts on the street?
  25. I now wish I could remove the link to BLC. They have chosen to monetize this event, chat on the stream was open to subscribers when this started but now only those who pay to be a channel member are allowed to chat.
