There was a bread basket but it did not have any type of breadsticks in it and I just didn't feel like a roll or slice of bread would pair well.

"Dressy" night tonight so we tried the MDR. GF had a spa service at 5pm for some seaweed wrap and massage treatment. Was supposed to be a 100 minute treatment, but 7:30pm rolled around and I hadn't heard from her so I went to check on her. Ended up that oil's and lotions from the treatment got in her hair so she needed to have that done before we got dressed up. Service was good and food was very good. The salmon and crab dip app was really good, but you got one Itty bitty breadstick with it and then I just ate it with a fork. Really could have use sometime of chips or crackers with it. The chocolate and whiskey torte was tried by everyone at the table and none of us cared for it, but all the other desserts were devoured. Really did not enjoy this session. They did a lot of Disney songs and several classic rock songs. Classic rock is my favorite type of music, but Brady's cover of the songs was just not his strong suit at all. Also played in the casino some and got my butt kicked pretty good. They are giving me a "free" (read really expensive) dinner for 4 at Tamarind tomorrow. The girls went to the Tandem dance performance after dinner and thought it was good. My daughter is a dancer so usually watches all the shows even though she has seen them before. However, she said this one was different than the Tandem performances she saw on the 2 cruises last year. When we got back to the room we had a nice towel animal. and a couple small boxes of chocolates on the bed. Not sure if this is something new or a Pinnacle Suite thing, but never had these before. Anyways, it's a little after midnight and the boat is about to rock me to sleep.

Afternoon tea in the suite. Kind of fun, but I didn't find any of the items to be amazing or anything.

Definitely don't have to pack the tuxedo, but there will probably be a few people wearing them on board. Some will be in suits and ties, others jeans and a sport coat, others slacks and a button down shirt with or without tie, and some less than that even. I will try to grab a couple pics of the general crowds this evening to try and give you a feel.

Seen several people with TWiT lanyards. There is also decent size group from Turning Point Ministries on board. I am a CIO in my day job so the TWiT group won't bother me at all.

I know there has been a lot of discussion around mariner society receptions since restart. I did not attend the welcome reception, but I did have an invite for one in my cabin.

Good morning from the Eurodam. Bit chilly out this morning, but it has been pretty smooth sailing so far.

Calling it an early night... still have not quite adjusted to the time change. Billboard onboard was decent this evening even if it wasn't my favorite sets. I think I will enjoy Brady and Grace this trip which is great cause billboard is my go to evening spot and I did not like the performers on my last cruise over new years. Casino was ok to me as well as I finished the night up $500 on the craps table. Also, from what I saw tonight there seems to be a lot more 30-50 year olds on the ship than on past sailings. Sea day tomorrow so will definitely be taking advantage of my thermal pass and we also have afternoon tea scheduled to be set up in the suite at 3pm. GF has some seaweed wrap and massage treatment scheduled for 5pm tomorrow and I am curious to hear about that. It is also a "dressy" night so that always makes for some interesting people watching in the evening. The only odd thing so far was that my GF (who was added to the booking later) did not have the beverage package tied to her account. The neptune lounge let me move the SBP from one of the kids and apply it to her and then I just purchased thr kiddo the quench package for $150. I will figure out the mix up with my TA after the cruise.

Dinner at the Pinnacle grill was pretty good overall. Service was very solid. All of the food except my ribeye was excellent, but the ribeye was pretty average. Clothesline bacon was an absolute hit. Also gave my mom a nice chocolate birthday cake at the end. Forward cabins can absolutely not see you (at least in ours) some of the ones toward the aft and slightly above can, but once in the tub it is recessed in the wall some. Can only speak to this specific one on the eurodam.

Time to relax in the room for a bit before 6pm dinner at the Pinnacle Grill. Will post some food pics and maybe some commentary on the meal later.

I would say it looks like once in it you would be ok, but getting in or out there would be some cabin's that could see.

Enjoying our "complimentary" champagne on the balcony as we sail away! bye-bye Seattle see you in a week.

Well we are all checked in and awaiting sailaway. Absolutely love the Pinnacle Suite, but worried I am going back to a normal neptune and especially a standard verandah.

A little relaxing on the rooftop of the Inn to end the night. So ready to get on the ship tomorrow!

Simple little aquarium, but my mom was happy so it was worth it.

So a small Chinese place in the market for lunch.... General's Chcken, beef and broccoli, chicken fried rice and hot and sour soup. It was all amazing!

It's our third time staying here and you are absolutely right about their staff. They have been amazing every time. We will probably be visiting Oliver's tonight.

My kids (13 and 18) will be joining me Saturday on what will be their 5th cruise on HAL. They enjoy HAL much more than Carnival or Royal and they same can be said for me (40). My son plays a lot of basketball each cruise and never had an issue. There has been times they made them stop cause other activities were going to start in that space and I also know all of the sports equipment does dissappear during our day in Glacier Bay.

Glad you enjoyed it. It will be my kid's 3rd time to Alaska on HAL. They love it just as much as me.
