This cruise has an official pastor for the interdenominational service. This is a change from the past 5 years or so.
Glad to hear HAL is bringing back interdenominational pastors onboard for longer cruises!

While it was nice to receive, it was far from special. The only one to wear it will be our Christmas tree.
Thanks for the great idea! Our medallions will be pulled out of drawer and hung on tree to remind us of wonderful cruising adventures!

This is a wonderful cruise. We love the sea days with cultural activities and talks about the various ports. One cruise had a bird expert that we would meet with at back of ship to identify bird species. Quite interesting!
As has been said HAL does an excellent job with your laundry.
Hope you enjoy!

Having done the Antarctica cruise 3 times with HAL, I believe you will have an amazing time! Be sure to see the penguins in the Falklands. Enjoy the visit to the village of Boca de Valeria and see the huge water lilies! Hope you do this cruise and have a wonderful time!!

Check for possible Easter brunch. Our Eurodam sailing shows you can sign up for a brunch served in Pinnacle Grill. We have had wonderful gathering led by the congregation or a pastor on longer cruises if one was onboard. Think there is service chg for the brunch

Check out all the way forward on decks 5, 6, or 7. Doors to outside deck for viewing above the bow area. Great space for pictures and usually less crowded than the bow. Enjoy!

We were with you on Volendam in 2019. Excited about following along on your new adventure. Loving the snow outside in Seattle area,, but would be so nice to be in sunshine onboard a HAL ship! Safe travels!

Add my vote for Antigua tour as well. Beautiful colonial city.
Also have enjoyed the tours that go into the mangroves and rivers. Amazing wildlife.

Enjoy your cruise! In Mazatlan, check out Stone Island. Easy access from the pier. Has some great restaurants for lunch, authentic Mexican food and ceviche

Wouldn't be surprised to see RCI close down Azamara because of its 3 old ships that may not be allowed in some ports because they don't meet environmental regulations that may be imposed. Upgrading would be very expensive and be something cruise lines don't have funds for right now. What do you think?

Son laid off today and dil laid off last week. Thankful he has 90 days severance. Hope cruising returns and they can be rehired!! Praying for all those who lose jobs

On our Volendam Amazon River cruise in Nov-Dec 2019 there were 2 Cellar Master dinners -1 in Pinnacle and 1 in Cannaleto. We and friends attended Pinnacle -- very good. Friends also did the Canaletto Cellar Master dinner with Italian cuisine. They enjoyed it!

We did HAL tour out of Napier to the Maori site of the ancients. Very enjoyable hearing the history and taking part in their ceremonies. Think you would enjoy if interested in Maori culture.

Excited to be following your world cruise blog again. Someday hope to join you on one of these adventures!!

No wrist band for me either! Prefer lanyard that I can slip inside shirt when off ship yet still have with me.
As for needing card for light slot - we just throw old HAL cabin card in suitcase and use it - as long as it has magnetized strip it will work. Also works for cabin safe if safe is not one that you input a code to open.

Have done Amazon river twice. As a retired teacher, I found best gifts for us to give were small box of crayons with blank notebook, pencils with sharpener and writing paper, blow up soccer balls. We visited a small village on the river. Took some extra supplies to the teacher. She was very grateful Enjoy your adventure.
