??? I thought I was pretty well versed on TA's and travel related sites and you've got me on this one.

There is one American site that shows all the cabins available (and is a big reason why I book with that site). Not sure if I'm allowed to mention site names so I'll say this; it is the site that shares its name with a chewing gum. ;):p

So, does this mean the dopey shuttle from the terminal to the ship is gone?? Hope so.
Coloradohawk, I have to ask, are you another Seahawk fan living in Colorado? Like me?
-
Ummm... don't you mean Solstice? Silhouette has never been in the PNW (at least, as far as I know). :)
Yes, I stand corrected, the Solstice.

Seattle@, I just moved here last year from Edmonds, WA (where I would watch the Silhouette sail by every week in the summer). Go HAWKS!!!!:D:D:D

I've read in a few posts about waiting to get on the ship and upgrading your drink package. Is the price different from just buying the package you want before the trip? Should I wait or get a lesser one and upgrade on board?

I'm great Wallie! How are you?

Wonderful report! Thank you for taking the time to write it. Is Molecular still there? And what is te beer menu in the Gastro Bar (and where on the ship did they put it)? Thanks again!! Have a wonderful time

I found out yesterday fortunately my team, GO SEAHAWKS, will be on their bye while I'm cruising so I'll only miss one game:D

I would love to be able to catch some NFL football on my TA from Barcelona to FLL aboard the Equinox this fall. What is broadcast while at sea? Is it possible to get live football games? Thanks!

Same question...What were the excursions? -
sniff. I was looking forward to The Molecular Bar in October.

We only want to know what we can expect. We sail to Bermuda on the Summit every summer. For the past 4 years, we have had problems with our balcony neighbors smoking. When we have notified Guest Relations, it was rectified. But we wish that we did not need to do this. Can we look forward to lounging on our balcony without smokers flaunting the "no smoking" rule this Spring?
Bery, I know, unequivocally, that you will not have a problem with smoke on your next cruise. You're welcome.

it may be tough to do on a sea day.

There was one more thing that I wanted to address. Thank you for those that stood up for me. I did check this review throughout the day and was very disheartened by some of the things people said. I do get fairly personal on my reviews. I don't post about my anxieties to glorify them, or to ask for sympathy or pity. I post about them so that people can understand why I might react to certain situations. In my experience, talking about mental disorders reminds others that are also afflicted that they are not alone. Sometimes it can also give each other motivation to do something they otherwise thought was impossible.
On boards like this, it's important to remember that we don't get the full picture of each other's lives and we shouldn't make rash judgments about them that go far beyond what is explained on a message board.
Zactak, this is about as succinct and eloquent as I've ever seen. Brilliant. Looking forward to more of your review.

My DW and I will most likely be on the Equinox TA that leaves Barcelona on October 27, we are planning on arriving a few days early to see some sights. Curious, generally, what the weather is like that time of year? Thanks!!

Though I have never been on the NCL Escape or that class of ship, between the two of those it's a no-brainer; the Reflection. Not only is Solstice class the best ship presently at sea (imo) Celebrity's staff is hands-down the best. I did an NCL and The Solstice two months apart and the differences were enormous. Celebrity simply offers a far, far better product. Again, I have not been on the Escape so I can't speak to it, but as far as food, activities, art, ship, staff, and over all comfort and experience, absolutely go with Celebrity.

SHEESH...A Seahawks fan... in DENVER?? How do you keep from getting trampled by Broncos?
You'd be surprised how many 12s are out here! When I wear my Seahawks gear I get a lot more high-fives than jeers. Have a great time on your TA!! Please post updates!!

Yes, the storage lockers can get crowded with all those Seahawks fans. :p ;)
LOL! Thanks everybody!!

First of all, where in the world do they store enough food and libations for 7 straight days at sea for 4,000 passengers plus crew? I know the ships are huge but is there really enough storage space? There must be, but what is the trick? How do they do it?
With 7 straight days, for those of you who have been on a trans/repositioning, dis you ever wish it was a little shorter at sea time? Even for a cruise on Celebrity, do you want to just get off the ship and walk around somewhere?
What other tips/tricks/advice designed for several sea days in a row would it be wise to know before embarking?
Thanks and 'GO SEAHAWKS!' :p

Very cool stuff, thanks for taking the time to make these vids!

Please ask when the molecular bar is going away and what is replacing it. We are sailing on the Solstice in late may (may 29), so I know the timing may not be exactly the same, but it might give me a better idea what to expect. And hopefully it will be awsome so I won't be as sad
It's going away?? Why?? This was one of the highlights of my Solstice trip a couple years back. Junior Merino was there making the drinks himself!

Wow. Is this old hunk of junk still afloat?? Amazing
