  1. There is one American site that shows all the cabins available (and is a big reason why I book with that site). Not sure if I'm allowed to mention site names so I'll say this; it is the site that shares its name with a chewing gum. ;):p

  2. We only want to know what we can expect. We sail to Bermuda on the Summit every summer. For the past 4 years, we have had problems with our balcony neighbors smoking. When we have notified Guest Relations, it was rectified. But we wish that we did not need to do this. Can we look forward to lounging on our balcony without smokers flaunting the "no smoking" rule this Spring?

Bery, I know, unequivocally, that you will not have a problem with smoke on your next cruise. You're welcome.

  3. There was one more thing that I wanted to address. Thank you for those that stood up for me. I did check this review throughout the day and was very disheartened by some of the things people said. I do get fairly personal on my reviews. I don't post about my anxieties to glorify them, or to ask for sympathy or pity. I post about them so that people can understand why I might react to certain situations. In my experience, talking about mental disorders reminds others that are also afflicted that they are not alone. Sometimes it can also give each other motivation to do something they otherwise thought was impossible.

On boards like this, it's important to remember that we don't get the full picture of each other's lives and we shouldn't make rash judgments about them that go far beyond what is explained on a message board.

Zactak, this is about as succinct and eloquent as I've ever seen. Brilliant. Looking forward to more of your review.

  4. Though I have never been on the NCL Escape or that class of ship, between the two of those it's a no-brainer; the Reflection. Not only is Solstice class the best ship presently at sea (imo) Celebrity's staff is hands-down the best. I did an NCL and The Solstice two months apart and the differences were enormous. Celebrity simply offers a far, far better product. Again, I have not been on the Escape so I can't speak to it, but as far as food, activities, art, ship, staff, and over all comfort and experience, absolutely go with Celebrity.

  5. First of all, where in the world do they store enough food and libations for 7 straight days at sea for 4,000 passengers plus crew? I know the ships are huge but is there really enough storage space? There must be, but what is the trick? How do they do it?

With 7 straight days, for those of you who have been on a trans/repositioning, dis you ever wish it was a little shorter at sea time? Even for a cruise on Celebrity, do you want to just get off the ship and walk around somewhere?

What other tips/tricks/advice designed for several sea days in a row would it be wise to know before embarking?

    Thanks and 'GO SEAHAWKS!' :p

  6. Please ask when the molecular bar is going away and what is replacing it. We are sailing on the Solstice in late may (may 29), so I know the timing may not be exactly the same, but it might give me a better idea what to expect. And hopefully it will be awsome so I won't be as sad

It's going away?? Why?? This was one of the highlights of my Solstice trip a couple years back. Junior Merino was there making the drinks himself!
