Does anyone have information about MSC's plans for Starlink? Now that every other major cruise line has either already upgraded or has plans to, I'm wondering. What Is Starlink and Which Cruise Ships Use Starlink Internet (cruisecritic.com) I was on Orchestra this summer and the Wi-Fi/Internet was laughably out of date. So I was thinking they were holding out for a "big upgrade" to starlink, but I've seen nothing in writing.

Just did a 10 day on Orchestra in the Med. For its age it is in VERY good shape. It is clearly being carefully cared for. Many interior updates have been done. For its size it has great bars and entertainment. Deck 6 has an easy flow through so you can walk right out of the theater and into live entertainment in multiple venues. Its lively and interesting all evening long. Entertainment is superior to everything else we've been on in the 90,000 ton range (on multiple lines). We've recently been on much newer, much bigger ships (on other lines) that aren't anywhere near this nice.

so this means it is either cost-prohibitive or not allowed for any of us to add nights or upgrade to a better room on a world cruise?

so I just had the exact problem described here yesterday, found this thread looking for answers. The difficulty is that I have this issue with the upcoming world cruise 2024. I wanted to upgrade to a balcony, and there was a sale on 3/28/2023 so I called to get the upgrade, (just like I have done with every other major cruise line for the last 20 years.) Customer Service would not give me the advertised sale price, she would only give me list price, to do the upgrade. She said the only way I could get the sale price is to cancel and rebook, just like other posters in this topic has described. HOWEVER there is no refund on world cruise! It is a non-refundable deposit. Anyone got a great idea on how I can proceed without losing my deposit?
