When was the last time you saw a costume party on a cruise?

Should I or shouldn't I cancel my 12 day Alaska cruise? I feel that the cruise doesn't offer what it advertises nor guarantees. Whales, bears and moose. Maybe I am wasting my money.

I'm going to say maybe from the 60's, my Mom used to make that kind of big round of jello with fruit cocktail and cream cheese. Been a long time since I've had anything like it. Though jello cups with some fruit in them are fairly common on the buffets I guess. Just not the same.
Hey Idubs, make it yourself, you can buy powdered jello in the store and get a can of fruit cocktail and a tub of cream cheese.

Avoid the seal flipper pie.

Depends on the cruise line, the route and the time of year, it all varies. It's cyclical from year to year.

I’m booked on Norwegian with inside cabin
its my first time on the cruise line from what I gather the cabin is really small is it possible to get a bigger cabin? Any input would be appreciated...🙂
Phone or email NCL, look at the website and see the square footage of the cabins. No brainer.

I wonder if anyone has done this area with children? We are thinking either July or October next year.
We we don’t want a warm weather cruise - neither does our son who would be 12 by then.
Why wouldn't you do the cruise with children? What seems to be the problem? It's a cruise.

Has anyone found out if you can use the $50 per port Shore excursion credit for something else on Board NCL Joy?

Aren't we talking about cruise ships? This is CRUISE Critic, not FERRY Critic, right? 😉
I cruise on a Ferry all the time and I also cruise in my 57 Chevy.

Gee thanks!
You are quite welcome, I find the most courteous, honest and sincere fellow cruisers are from Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand. Extremely polite.

I think the last one started at midnight in about 2002.
Pity the midnight buffet ended in 2002. Oh well.

What time does the midnight buffet start.

While alongside on a port call - in places like St. John’s, New Brunswick, with a great tide drop they often have to re-rig the gangway.
It is Saint John, New Brunswick not St. John's.
St. John's is in Newfoundland and Labrador.

I'm not aware of any cruise line that has hospital beds in their HA cabins. If you require one, that is something you would need to dIscuss with their Disability Assistance department.
Thanks mom says.

We were on the Lofoten, their oldest and smallest ship, which is actually going to be retired from this route after next season. But they have several that do it and they go year round. We traveled in March and were guaranteed if we didn't see the Northern Lights we'd get a free 6/7 day cruise the following year. We did. But with your naval career you've likely seen them.
It's always nice to go back. What was it that you liked about Hurtigruten.
