We are also on a May Homelands cruise leaving Stavanger at 1:30. I'm probably going to book the cruise with Viking to play it safe. Wish we were in port a bit longer though. Stavanger looks beautiful

Our trip isn't until May. I'm looking forward to the Blue Lagoon but wouldn't be too disappointed to miss it

We go to the Blue Lagoon on our Iceland precruise extension .I'm wondering if there is anything special we need to bring with us besides a bathing suit such as a towel, etc? Any tips about the Blue Lagoon,Viking's extension or the Hilton Nordica including restaurants would be greatly appreciated!

The grilled octopus sounds delicious. Don't remember seeing it on our June cruise. Manfredis- the pasta arrabiata,I believe it was a special and the lamb chops. Also the octopus carpaccio Mamsens- the crab cake and the success cake. World Cafe-muesli,small baguettes,scallops in shell,brown rice pudding Living Room-pistachio buns which they did not have last time and they did not offer to make any for me like they did for Clay!

We also used air plus for our Homelands May '23 cruise. We were ticketed this week. I asked the agent and Virgin Air was an option. We are using Delta,Lufthansa, and Eurowings Discover plus Icelandair to our precruise in Reykjavik.

You were right,Island Lady. When I called Viking Air,the agent actually encouraged us to add Air Plus. Lesson learned. Always double check what a Viking agent tells you if it seems questionable. Thank you everyone for your input.

I'm sorry. You are correct TayanaLorna. It is Viking Air Plus. It was also offered to us in June 2023 when we booked a cruise. I'll call back and speak to a different representative. Just wanted to check here first. Thanks!

Yesterday we booked the Viking Homelands cruise for next year. When we said we wanted to add Viking Air the agent stated that Viking no longer offers it except in special circumstances such as groups flying together. Instead, we will see a list of available flights about 3 months before embarkation on MVJ to choose from. Has anyone else encountered this? Were you happy with the flights offered? Thanks!

We haven't booked it yet,but yes, we are considering the Homelands cruise.
