Thanks! I will ask my TA to get the price lowered.

In checking current pricing for a cruise I have booked for November 2019, I see a price about $100 less than what I booked at last April. I booked while on board with non-refundable deposit - am I eligible to get the price lowered to today's pricing? What about the obc for booking while on board?

Looks like this info has not been updated in a few years, but it gives you some places to start looking:

No, not that far but it is a "hike." I would compare it to the walk to get to the taxis at Puerta Maya/Cozumel. You have to "run the gauntlet" of shopping opportunities. :D
See #9 on this map of the port. You enter the port from the walk from the ship at #1.

Enjoyed seeing the church, town square/plaza, and the fort. Did not do rum factory but did a tour at a chocolate factory and went to the amber museum. Definitely do the cable car first.

We're coming in to Tampa in Feb for a b2b on the Rhapsody and have a car. We've done this before but I realized my ala carte plans including valet parking were coming to a small fortune so I'm consolidating. Biggest problem is the car to park for 14 nights. I tried the Chase Suites near Rocky Point as suggested as their snooze and cruise was well priced BUT only 7 days parking. We've run into this issue on longer cruises before at various ports and the hotels usually say parking is included for the duration of your cruise. So to be sure I called the Chase Suites and was told we could NOT stay there if we were parking over 7 days. We would be responsible for moving the car. Wow, I would have paid a reasonable amount but politely told no. The Hampton Inn Ybor City has the same program but their lot is evidently not secure and a dirt parking lot so that is totally out. So we're booked in the Embassy Suites for overnight, parking and shuttle to and from the port for $395. We've done the Embassy before and it went OK so OK it is.
If there are any other options I would love to know.
Check hotelnparking.com - if you are not comfortable going through their website to book, you can at least find some places that offer what you are looking for, call them and book direct.
Another site I like to start a search is http://www.parkingstay.com/p/tampa.html - info has not been updated in a while, but it gives you some places to check out.
I like staying at the LaQuinta Grand Regency in Brandon, FL. You can leave your car there after a night's stay for no additional charge, but I don't know if that goes for two weeks - I have left my car while on a 7 night cruise. You can take a taxi/uber to the port of Tampa - about a 15/20 minute drive, and back to the hotel post cruise.

Thank you for your reply - it is most helpful. I very much appreciate you taking the time to research and pass on the information you received. I did not think to call the Old Town Trolley office in Key West (duh!). I will be very relieved to bypass the chaos of the shuttles from ***** to MS.

Our ship will dock at the Outer Mole. If I book a trolley excursion through the ship, for a specific time, is it reasonable to think that the excursion will start from the ***** directly on the trolley for the excursion, with no need to navigate the circus of taking a shuttle from the ***** to MS?

If you live in Orange Park, you might have a friend take you to the port, drop you off, and then pick you up post cruise. That is what we did when I cruised from Jacksonville with someone who lives there. Is Uber an option for you there?
-
I stayed there post cruise this past April. I requested early check-in when I booked online and there was no problem with doing that when we arrived (around 11 in the morning). After settling in, we walked to Chipotle for lunch, used the pool in the afternoon, and used Rustic Inn's van shuttle service for dinner. Our flight the next morning was very early - we took the hotel's first shuttle to the airport so we left before breakfast hours started. I would stay there again.

Have you considered Holland? Your father might be even more pleased with the atmosphere on Holland. The ships are smaller and less crowded. Probably many people of his on age. And, Holland does have some nice balconies and I'm sure the prices will be cheaper than Princess.
I also suggest you check out Holland America - I know at least some (may be all) of their balcony cabins have bath tubs. The last week of November (the week after Thanksgiving) should have good pricing. I believe they are currently having a promotion which includes the beverage package.

I found the Alaska port of call board here on cruise critic very helpful in planning my trip/cruise to Alaska.

Looking at Carnival website, I don't see any 3 night sailings for Ecstasy, either from Charleston or Jacksonville; the shortest is 4 nights.
-
Is the aquarium walking distance to the port? My flight doesn't leave until 7pm so I think I will need to kill a couple hours and since I'm cruise solo this might be perfect.
yes - between terminals 2 and 3

I have stayed at that Springhill and would stay there again. I have not stayed at that Home2 (or any Home2) so I can't comment on that.
I have stayed at the LaQuinta three times pre-cruise (2016, 2017, and 2018) and have it booked again for March 2019.
